Surprisingly easy to set up and start using. It scans quickly and accurately, watch folded pages however they jam it easily.

The scanner works amazingly well, much faster than the scanners on multi-function printers. The most liked feature is duplex scanning. When not in use it folds up in a compact package.

I got this during a sale when I needed to last minute scan some documents two-sided. It was so much money to scan in a store, this scanner was more than worth it. I liked that I could scan it quickly on easy pages and reduce the speed to scan it a bit slower on more delicate pages. The program on my computer was great and made it very easy to work with my pages. This was exactly what I needed.

I purchased this scanner as an alternative to using my printer scanner which was complicated and slow. This scanner was up and running in very little time and works flawlessly with one button scanning and automatic dual side detection. I have also used it for scanning ID badges and it works just fine there as well. Made such a difference in work production that I purchased two more for my team in the office. Easily review scanned image and save as file of your choosing without complicated steps. A real game changer.

I never knew I had a use for a high-speed desktop document scanner until I got this Epson scanner. It couldn't have come a better time as I was looking to organize my household paperwork and files within my filing cabinet; especially with tax season around the corner. I was able to quickly load docs upon docs and get them into my MacBook. The setup was really easy and the quality of the scans are high quality. I used the Epson software to edit the image and make adjustments as needed. You also have the option to upload docs directly into Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive, etc. which makes it a super powerful device. There are only 2 cons that I can think of with this device. First one being I wish this one was wireless. I do know the ES-500 W II offers wireless scanning so this is more just a wish than anything. Second, the device had issue when I was trying to scan in my older "W2" tax docs. As these W2's are often 2 pieces of paper on top of each other, the scanner got hung up and was unable to scan. This is where a flatbed scanner would be ideal. I had to go to my old machine to scan those in. All in all, I would definitely recommend this scanner for anyone looking for a highly efficient, very quick machine that can quickly get your documents into the cloud. Purchased this for my office. Fast Scanner and very impressed. Pretty good footprint size and closes to prevent dust from getting in. It has issues with small documents and things with stickies on them which it wrongfully reads as double feed jams. However, all in all was worth what I paid for it on sale. At full price I would have been disappointed. At about $285 its a decent scanner. My biggest complaint is the software. It requires additional steps you can't bypass and it's too rigid. Most times I have to click the SAVE button 2-5 times to get it to respond. That should be happening with any scanner so the time it saves with it's scanning gets somewhat lost because of the software. I tried everything and it's clearly a software issue and not an operator issue.

I was looking for a way to "digitize" the stacks of reports that I have to file for later use. This is working perfect!!! This scanner software allows me to save in Word or PDF format, and even will attach to Outlook to send in an e-mail. It's fast, very clear, and scans both sides in one pass. And a plus - it's supposed to only handle 50 pages - but I have ran 65 and 70 page reports at one time with no issues. Easy setup, and does not take up much space, Very happy with this purchase!!!!!!

I scanned my three boxes of documents in a matter of a few hours. My stack old documents scanned perfectly for what i want. Digital records of things i no longer need but want a record of. Super easy to use and very quick. Just absolutely love this machine. For pictures its ok but i dont care to scan too many pictures

This is the absolute best workhorse! I asked my boss at work if I could get this one for work- so I can digitally retain our required documents. It has scanned 2 years worth of documents in 4 months time. And it’s still going strong! Because it worked so well (and because my work comes home with me often) I had to get another for home! Get this scanner! It’s quiet, it’s quick, and it does loads at once! You can delete pages in a scan if you realize you scanned the wrong document; you can add a document during scan if you aren’t done; and you can even reorganize the scans before they are saved. I never thought I’d love a scanner- but I sure love both of mine!

We have 13 locations and these scanners work great with old to new computers, easy setup, and the scan software that comes with it gives multiple options from Dropbox to One Drive. Very functional! Hardly ever jams.

Easy to use, does not take up a lot of space, quick

This made scanning a whole lot easier and faster. I used to fret scanning using my multi function printer/scanner but no more with this Epson scanner. I think this is good scanner for general scanning. I was debating between this and ScanSnap ix1600 but glad I went with this one and saved over $100. My only gripe is if scanning black/white document or receipts, the scan quality seems a little fuzzy (not crisp). Otherwise, very happy with this purchase.
