Escape from Planet Earth is one of those movies that you don't hear much about before you first watch it, so you are a little skeptical when you consider watching it. After reviewing it online we decided it was an acceptable movie for everyone. It turned out to be a much better movie than we thought in terms of the storyline, and also one of those movies that after you watch it you want to tell your friends about it. Our entire family watched it and everyone, including the adults, were cracking up. The humor is clean and appropriate for young kids and very clever. Our kids are 5, 7, 9, and 11 and they all loved it. We first watched it on Netflix and liked it so much we bought the 3D version. I'd highly recommend going the 3D Bluray route - it has beautiful visuals and really adds to the richness of the experience.

We bought this to test out the 3-D on a new TV purchase. Specifically, we bought this because it was on sale and allowed our kids to have something exciting to test out on the new TV. It was a big hit, they have watched many times. The colors in this film are extraordinary. It is quite beautiful, especially the alien home planet. Don't expect much from the story, but then you shouldn't anyway. This is a film for children & it excels at that.

Aimed mainly at children, this has an intriguing enough story line to make it still amusing for adults. It's about the rivalry between two brothers, dimwit super-jock athletic hero who is always rescuing someone in trouble, and brilliant, nerdy whiz kid always lost in his brother's shadow. Guess who saves the day (and his brother) in the end.

Enjoyable animated film. I like the story and the overall design of the film. The vibrant colors are visually pleasing. The voice actors have created well defined characters. Shatner plays a great villain with a sad backstory. I’ve always liked stories about extraterrestrials and this one is a favorite.

Got this in 3D on sale for a great price for a combo pack. Kids really liked it and I must say it reminds me of Planet 51 as it has many jokes that only the parents will get. That being said, the humor is not adult in any way, just poking fun at things most kids won't get in addition to things that will make the kids crack up too.

Didn't know anything about this movie when we found it and my son wanted it. As a parent you always hope a movie that appears to be for kids/family is not filled with garbage and/or so dumb you can't stand to watch it. This movie turned out to be a good story, clean, and entertaining.

I know it is cliche .. but for the fact that there's always someone who will visit with kids, this is another choice of letting the kids watch while the adults enjoy some time just chatting and enjoying their snacks/ice tea ...

We got this movie, on a whim, when we were shopping for a refrigerator. My 5 year old has watched it over and over. He can almost say the lines while watching the movie. He is learning about family unity and team work and likes seeing it work in other families. Even if it is on a cartoon that he reminds us isn't real.

More than good enough to entertain a 4 year old and interesting enough that grandpa doesn't mind watching it with him. In fact, the plot is good enough it would make an entertaining live action Sci-fi comedy, a la Men in Black.

My Nephew love this.. He really enjoy movie...so am I love this,too.. I ask him...did you like movie? He's said "yes"....I agree with him, .. for kids... there's many who like movie or not. The movie is Funny,smart, and awesome....

She has wanted this movie for so long and I've hard time tracking it down until, of all places, found it in Best Buy's $5 bargain bin. Only paid $3.99 for it and more than worth it. We watched it in theater and absolutely loved it-good wholesome family movie and so funny.

Was looking for a different movie for kids to watch. Tired of same movie over and over. This was different and enjoyable for parents and kids to watch. Well worth it the kids will watch it more than once.
