Bought this before a 22 hour round trip from PA to SC after reading many Radar Detector review sites (always with a skeptical eye out for the "sponsored" reviews). This unit consistently ended up in the top 3 across many reviews. Unit picked up radar traps consistently from a distance with only a few pick ups of business site signals or adjacent car systems. mounting bracket works very well.

Small and compact voice alerts are clear display is bright and easy to use.

Overall I'm very happy with this radar/laser detector. I've owned many makes/models over the 45+ years I've been driving, including several made by Escort. The Escort iX isn't their top of the line but it had all the bells and whistles I needed. My only complaint (and it's not so much against the Escort iX or any make or model) is that I can't understand how the FCC has allowed the auto manufactures to use the same K and Ka radar bands for all their new collision avoidance, lane departure, blind spot detection, etc. features. No radar detector manufacturer will ever be able to positively and accurately distinguish between a real police radar signal (on one of the K or Ka bands) and one of the new car features 100% of the time. So yes, there are still plenty of false alarms from all the new cars on the road. But hey, I'd rather get a bunch of false alarms and still get notified of a real police radar then have too much filtering enabled and miss a real signal and possibly get a very expensive ticket.

Have always had escort. Updated to IX. Really happy with model. Only negative is price. Excellent results thus far.

I purchase this radar for the trip to Miami, and I'm glad i did , it catch the police miles always, it expensive but work every penny.

This Escort IX is one of the best detectors on the market. It is a big expense so I did a lot of research before purchasing one. It will work without Escort Live, but I have found that the Escort Live adds a lot of security while using it. It has paid for itself a couple times over already. I am sold on the Escort brand for detectors.

I bought the Escort after reading the onions reviews. It was more expensive than I was planning on spending but well worth it. This has been the best radar detector I have had. It gives me much more time to respond to cops. There are some false alarms but much better than my last detector.

I previously owned a Escort Passport 9500ix, It was a great radar detector. But the iX makes you think that you’re getting false alerts because you don’t see anything. In reality, it’s just picking up a signal from much farther away than I’m use too. So it is really money well spent.

Pricy radar detector with lots of great interactive fearures. They came out with a new model that will do updates via wifi right after I bought this one.

This is a great addition to our road trips. I really like the different settings and the piece of mind.

I had a cheap detector that broke and after a little research, decided on this unit. The price here was very good also. We haven't driven on a road trip with it yet but I like the way it works around town. Seems well built and I like the magnetic mount.

Always needed to get one. Has saved me 4xs. I tend to not pay attention to my speed. It does go off for construction flashers ,but just push button and it mutes it. 5.0 is being sneaky hanging out door and spot shooting at last min to get speeders. Sneaky!!!

Ive had my share of cheap radars and I finally bit the bullet on this one after much research and I am impressed on a daily basis. The app is great as I commute to city/suburbs it lets me know of any speed cameras or red light cameras.

I’ve had different radar detectors in the past and this one is by far the best one that I’ve owned. It has great range and also blocks out false signals from collision avoidance systems and lane departure systems that are both in my vehicle.
