This is a great radar I love the magnetic attachment for quick release when storming it out of sight. The radar has a few instances of false alarms but when there are cops shooting radar it definitely lets you know way ahead of time. The only thing I don’t like was the price and the fact that you have to pay for the location services if you want them

I am happy with this detector.
I have a 9500ix, which is the older version of this detector, in my car and my wife uses the Escort iX. Like the previous detector, the iX can be chatty on K band around town, you can set it to learn the location of static K band sources, such as CVS automatic door sensors, but still certain cars, Cadillacs and Audis come to mind, pollute enough to require the mute button. There is on the iX a selection for low sensitivity for K band, but I haven't tried it; I should because police in my area seem to use Ka band, not K band.
A feature that I like that is not on the 9500 is the ability to use the Escort Live App. I can run this app on my mobile phone which connects to the iX using Bluetooth. The app warns me, real time, of radar alerts generated by other people in other cars using the Escort Live App, so I get advanced warning of police radar from someone else. This would be especially useful for a laser speed trap -- CT State Police use laser all the time -- because laser warning in these detectors is very, very, very last minute and you should expect to use the laser detection of any radar detector as a ticket confirmation notification. So, to have advanced notice of police using laser is great. The downside to using the Ecort Live App is that I really like to use Waze. In addition to routing information, Waze warns of police traps, also, but not based on receiving an actual radar or laser alert, but when another person using Waze manually logs the police location. In real world driving, I have found Waze and Escort Live App to be as reliable as each other and to provide about the same range of warning.
Other than that, I think I would like the arrows featured on the Escort 360, to know where the radar source was relative to my direction of travel, and I think the iX is overpriced (but I bought it, so ....).
In summary, the iX is a good detector, chatty on K band, works well for Ka, and the Escort Live App is a plus, especially of you don't use Waze.

Since I bought this it has already saved me from possibly 6 tickets and allowed me to drive whatever speed I want. The range is great and being able to make fixed locations with “your speed is..” signs is a real treat. And the new mag mount system is simply the best I’ve ever seen.

The range this detector can provide, which of course depends on the signal type and topography, is great. I love its ability to learn and mute false alarms based on gps locations. And the app with user marked locations of known traps, cameras, etc. is a great benefit in unfamiliar areas. In about a month of having this, it's already saved me from a few potential tickets on routine 100 mile trips to our campground through rural areas.

Ive had it about a month, and it has saved me from a couple of tickets already. Picks up from a long way away. Has a learning feature that it remembers if there is a false alarm in the same spot (internal gps) and gives one beep saying its remembered just in case there is a cop there, then doesnt beep again. I like it so far

I just purchased the new escort to replace an older passport xi. I like the updated technology and different settings that are available plus the ability to control with with an app on my phone. I replaced my other because of all of the new driving technology that cars have today. It was going off all of the time. I don’t have as many false hits now and can choose how I want to run the radar with advanced settings. It is chunkier than the passport that it has replaced ( they no longer make the xi). That would be my biggest complaint, the windshield mount is much bigger and I do not want to use the dashboard mount. I liked how sleek the other was and the smaller windshield clips made it almost like it wasn’t there. I haven’t been on any long trips but I am in my car frequently. I’m running it on autoNoX in expert mode and it appears to be doing its job. I’ve always used escort/passport in the past and been pleased with their technology. The radar directional indicator is nice. I had a laser hit the other day and it pointed out the direction it was coming from along with distance. It has a no K or a low K band and also different k frequencies that can be individually turned off but I’m not using it like that. I’m comfortable with the auto. I prefer to just lock out the K signals with the GPS tracker just in case I come across someone running a K band radar. Don’t see it too much, but occasionally I’ll come across it. Better safe than sorry ....pleased so far!

Purchased for a 20hr drive to Florida. I was pleasantly surprised by the sticky suction cup that allowed me to experiment with different locations on my windshield to find the ideal location.
The magnetic mount allows for quick and easy removal for theft prevention.
K blocking eliminated annoying false alarms from vehicles with lane changing detection system while passing cars.

I've used the Escort for several weeks now and it has notified me each time a radar has been present. I've used it both in town and on the interstate. The sound is loud enough to hear over the radio.

This radar detector will sometimes pick up a radar Up to a mile and a half or more away. There is not much that separates this radar from the 360. The only difference is that the 360 gives you directional arrows from which the radar is coming from. I have noticed less false alarms with this detector as well which is an added bonus. Not to mention you can update it with the online tool

I bought this detector after retirement for long trips we take. It is wonderful and picks up in time for me to slow down. It is great for the highway and it works In The city as well. I have not received a ticket while I have my companion with me, that is what I call my radar detector and it works wonderful on those Tennessee highways and little towns.

This radar detector offers numerous features. Including the ability to mark active speed traps and send that info to other escort users. It also detects radar at great distances and gives you plenty of time to slow it down. Consider " Blendmount" to mount this detector to your reaeview mirror!!!

I was trying to decide between the XI and the Passport and I ended up with the XI. The XI has been perfect. We use it mainly for our drives back and forth from Denver to Kansas. It picked 2 police radars long, long before the actual police came in to sight. Definitely saved me a ticket or 2.

I just returned from a long road trip to Lake George, NY from Central NC for a family reunion. Escort I was my best friend throughout the trip. It saved me several times from tickets and delays from avoiding being pulled over. I wish I've purchased this a long time ago. It truly does have long range detection.
