Replaced a still working Escort detector but was tired of the excessive false alarms (primarily due to vehicle collision avoidance systems). Significant reduction in these false alarms. Good detection distance, and the arrows are a nice touch I didn't realize I was missing. Overspeed alert is another nice function. Haven't used the Escort Live feature yet. It's a bit pricey, but it pays for itself by avoiding potential tickets. Owned for ~ 1 month, and it is used daily.

I have owned an Escort since the early 90's and figured it was time for an upgrade when it began having issues after so many years of faithful service. I replaced it with the Escort Max 360 C and so far, so good. It has amazing sensitivity but few false alerts so far if any. The reason I first purchased an Escort was in anticipation of driving through Arkansas to help our oldest move home to Florida from Oklahoma. I have traveled that route many times over the years and had recently been ticketed in a speed trap just a bit south of Pine Bluff. The road I was pulled on had been posted for years as a 50 mile an hour zone and the day I was pulled I was doing 45. When I was stopped, several other cars were passing me immediately before the lights came on, but they had local tags, mine was a Florida tag. I asked the officer about the speed limit and he responded that it had been 50, yes I was only doing 45, but the posted speed had been lowered to 35. I asked where it was posted and pointed back about a block and showed me a sign. After handing the ticket and turning me loose, I drove back to look at the sign and found it was completely obscured by the limb of an oak tree next to it. Before leaving Tulsa to drive our daughter back to Florida I recalled the incident and expense of the ticket, then decided the cost of an Escort Solo 2 was worth , thus made the purchase. I happened through that same county I had been ticketed in before and it was 3:30 AM. I noticed flashing blue lights in the right lanes ahead of me and there was one of the local officers with not one, two, or three, he had four cars stopped at the same time and stood there with ticket book in hand. Over the years my Escorts have more than paid for themselves but the tickets they have spared me and this Max 360 C seems better than ever!!!

top of the line radar detector- I enjoy using it but still need to exercise caution as the one band is difficult to pick up and requires immediate braking as well as keeping an eye peeled for a physical presence, also gotta be aware of dummy signals and any boats in nearby marinas with the Internet hotspot up

I bought this in Coral Springs, FL when I was driving back to Lexington, KY. This Radar alerted me way before I even saw the police. I did however have maybe 4-5 false alarms but with the amount of miles I would call that excellent. There is a mobile app that you can use with this radar thats kinda like Waze. You add where you see a cop or speed trap or even a speed light. So you have the protection of the device plus the added support of other drivers. Its a really nice combo together but the only down side is that theres no battery. You must use the cord at all times and if the app doesn't detect you moving after 10mins you have to open the app again (so it say, but when I just drove it came back up on its own).

Big question and yes! 100% I used to have cheaper $50-$150 detectors that worked fine. yet nothing compares to this one. I actually was nervous when I bought it because KA band would pop up and have a direction arrow forward.....nothing in sight. Slowly but surely, 45 seconds later the cop passes. Sometimes even longer....that’s a long advance notice! Also love the GPS Auto Learn - you don’t need WiFi in your car to use it and it avoids/mutes a rite aid alarm you pass by into work after a few days. My only complaint is the community alert is both great and bad....DO NOT HIT THE MARKER BUTTON ON THE DETECTOR UNTIL YOU UNDERSTAND ITS USE. You can confirm/not there other escort radar users alerts when you get close. Best overall for database updates and actual detection. I also purchased the direct wire so the cord isn’t dangling and I highly recommend that for a clean set up

Great radar detector, very sensitive and picks up at least 3 miles ahead of you. Only down side, not a cheap product. I believe you get what you pay for with radar detectors.

The best radar detector I've ever had! The price tag was hard to swallow but it is an amazing radar detector. I was afraid it would be constantly alarming but it is very good at learning what's legit and what is not. The phone itself leaves a lot to be desired but the one thing it does give you is the community reporting. Similar to Waze. I love the lower mute control so I do not have to reach up to the window. I ran into a little technical snag after an update in regards to getting it linked with my app again. A little research online discovered that you need to remove the bluetooth link (forget device) from your iphone to force it to re-discover it. If you're a speed demon - this is the device for you.

If you are in the market for a radar detector stop looking now and get this. It has GPS so it will auto filter out false alerts around your normal route, it updates over wifi, and has directional arrows to tell you what way the signal is coming from. What more would you want??
The database update over wifi is amazing because once you connect it to wifi as soon as you get in the driveway it ask if you want to update.
Range on it is amazing and the arrows help spot police coming form behind you. The Escort live app makes it 100x better since other users are making cops miles ahead similar to waze.

Invaluable on my daily 2hr round-trip commute. Sure, I've watched the video's on YT, and there are cheaper and more expensive alternatives, with longer range/better sensitivity etc etc. This unit simply works. I don't want or need a detector telling me there is a speed trap 8 miles ahead, listening to its bleating and flashing for minutes. The MAX 360c gives PLENTY of warning time to slow down or check your speed. I drive a combo of highway and two lane, 50 miles each way to work and back, often I need to overtake slower vehicles and knowing whether there is a police car coming up in the middle of a line of traffic in front, or 8 cars behind me is invaluable. My car also has red interior lighting, so being able to change the Max's color LED's is a nice touch. I didn't have a problem with suction cup mount, but I hardwired mine in anyway and used a Blendmount (highly recommended) I'm glad I chose the Max 360c over the more expensive (sold out) Redline unit, because honestly this does all I need it to do, and quietly sits up on the mirror without the constant fuss of some other detectors I've owned in the past. The Max 360c connects to my vehicles onboard WIFI for all of its updates, and the app is quite good for altering the detectors settings. Overall, very happy. I like the fact the Max 360c is very 'hands-off' - it sits up there learning, monitoring, and letting me know with plenty of time if there are police about. Here in NJ it even captured an old police Sheriff car using x-band, which I though were all but gone these days.

I purchased this unit with the M1 dash camera (Read my review on that) The reason why I went with the Max360c is because this unit is compatible with the iDatalink Maestro RR2 to hook up to a the Maestro, you will have to contact Escort directly and purchase the hardwire kit needed for installation. This is for having the detector show up and can be controlled by a compatible aftermarket head unit. This is NOT COMPATIBLE FOR THE RR GEN 1! It is very easy to change the detector using the smartphone app, with a easy to use interface, setting up your own profile is a breeze. (Do your own research on your use) The radar detector has already saved me multiple times for state patrol and county traps alike. The auto-learning feature helps the radar detector know what is a false alert. You will have to help guide the detector and mute certain scans you drive past every day. The more you use it, the smarter it gets. City traffic will need to be put into a different mode due to multiple bands from car, store, and other radar utilizing equipment. Highway will be the most sensitive and has saved me from traps around one mile away. It all depends on where the police is, where the gun is pointing, traffic, trees and so fourth.

This radar performs flawlessly in terms of the bands it picks up as well as the distant to which it picks up these bands however the biggest flaw I’ve noticed with this unit is the terribly plastic used in the suction cup for mounting to windshields. They last about 4-5 months before Arizona heat ruins it. Have had to replace two that I’ve owned with both cases being due to the suction cup mount failing.

Very easy mounts to the windshield, like the magnetic holder. Sometimes gives a false signal if stays in plugged in the car overnight. But turning it on and off fixes it. Typically gives enough warning to adjust the speed accordingly. Customer service was good as well, had a question about the night mode, answered it fast.
