Fantastic radar detector. It Has great range with plenty of notification time to let you slow down before being clocked.

The Passport 8500 X50 is a very nice radar detector. The digital signal provides a good range with minimum false alarms.

Radar Dectector works perfectly, has the quiet button on ppower plug in, but the cord seemed a little too short.

Product is extremely accurate, and easy to use. After purchasing another , upgraded winshield mount directly from Escort, I am completely pleased with the ease of removing, and re-attaching the detector to put up, and remove my sunscreen, while vehicle is parked.

Easy to use. Just plug in and it goes to work. Saves you money in the long run. One ticket and this is well worth it.

I bought the Passport 8500 on sale because of Escort's reputation and the significant savings. I would not have paid list price for it as I wasn't sure the quality would justify the higher price. So far it has worked as well as my previous inexpensive Cobra, but I hate the coiled, unique power cord which is too short for my installation. I worry that it will yank the unit off the windshield and I haven't tested whether a phone cord extension will work. If it wasn't for the cord, I would have given it 4 stars. Your dashboard may have a closer power plug.

Detector works very well. It is very sensitive but can be adjusted. correct placement on windshield is important.

Within a day this product saved me a $200 ticket. Worth every penny.

I love that this radar has a smart cord and you can mute it when needed. Works 10x's better than my old one.

We purchased this model after much research. We have been using it for a couple of months, and it truly has paid for itself. We only use it for our out of town trips, and it has saved us a couple of speeding tickets. We have not experienced many false alerts as most have been concerned. All in all, we are very happy with our purchase.

Great unit for the money, I have used it for years and it's worth it's weight in gold.

Great device, easy to use. Suggest programming to silence the squawky powerup sequence. Only complaint is it doesnt remember fixed locations so have to put up with false alarms at known location like the 9500 but doesnt justify the expense of the other model

Easy set up, easy to use. Has a mute button on the plug so I don't have to reach for the detector to hit mute. Picks up radar at a far distance.

I would highly recommend the Escort X50 Passport Radar Detector. It works great!
