Etrian Odyssey is a series of dungeon crawler rpgs and they are good. Worth checking out.

Gotta catch them all! I have enjoyed all of the games in this series and had to get the Launch Edition. If you are a fan, you'll already have bought this.

I guess maybe I don't like dungeon crawlers? I hadn't ever tried one before, and this one had such good reviews, I tried it. Played it for maybe an hour or so and was really bored the whole time. You have to go through a bunch of stuff before you're even allowed to play anything. You have to create a whole team before you even understand what you're going to do with them. There is no overworld, just a map, text boxes that describe some encounters, and boss fights. Of course, this is before it even got to any dungeon crawling aspects, but I just was not interested, thinking that if all this game is is turn-based combat and nothing else, I'm not interested. I was expecting an RPG, and this just wasn't it. I've heard it's really good for people who like this very specific type of game. But if you're someone like me who hasn't played this series or dungeon crawlers before, I would find a way to try it out first that doesn't cost money, because I'm really regretting this purchase.
