I bought this doorbell specifically for the 24/7 continuous recording feature, and I'm glad that I did. The motion activity on this doorbell is hit and miss, but I don't really care since I have it set to continuously record anyways. I love that Eufy is subscription free and puts the flexibility into the customers hands. The app is easy to use and straightforward.

Has good video quality, audio is pretty good as well. Easy to install. App easy to use and works well. I like that the Best Buy unit has 32 gigs of internal storage as apposed to the ones you buy direct from Eufy, Amazon etc. (think those have 8gb?) Ringtones are kinda cheesy so wish it would work with existing chime. Not a deal Breaker though. I did try setting up some zones and I kept getting random back to back alerts. Cut down the sensitivity and adjust zones but kept getting them with nothing there. Removed zones and haven't had any since. Mine is in a little alcove so don't really need them so no big deal. I plan on getting some of there wireless cameras to get the rest of the front of house and the back yard. Can be a little pricey but I like that I don't have to pay a monthly subscription and have plenty of internal storage.

Didn't install this until recently, went on vacation and wanted to be able to see who was visiting our front door while we were away :) Worked great. Was even able to talk to one of our neighbors thru the included speaker, she forgot that we were away. Have gotten some false motion detection, due to tree branches swaying in the background. I've been adjusting the sensitivity to help (it has 5 or six levels, from human only to all motion). Also you can define areas where you want to limit detection or block detection. Only took about an hour to remove the old door bell and install this new one. Screwdriver only needed for my situation. Included electronic chime box is plugged in near center of 1st floor so we can hear it. Plenty loud, have it on lowest setting. Got it on a daily deal for around $120.

So far it works well. Don't have to worry about a battery running down, because it doesn't have one. It wires direct. The pictures are clear. I only wish our own doorbell worked with it ,since we had just bought a new one. But the one that came with it works well. I also like not having to pay a fee to use it. Not sure but I think it was picking up the neighbors Christmas lights across the road from us and setting it off. lol But we can adjust for it in settings. A lot better than the other one we had.

I wanted to ditch my ring subscription and this eufy doorbell was perfect on paper but that’s where it ends. Motion detection is so unreliable this cannot be used as a security device. The AI is designed to detect human upper body and it is awful at it. You can set it to “all motion” and it allows you to draw an “activity zone”. If that border isn’t the ENTIRE SCREEN, it will not capture cars pulling into your driveway, and when it does it only captures it as it breeches the trigger border. At night the video is clear and crisp. Yet somehow it cannot detect a person until they are three feet away from the doorbell. Literally three feet. Thought the porch light might affect it. Tested it with and without and it made 0 difference. Adjusted it from all motion to human detection and same result. 3 feet. Again. Live feed is clear and honestly beautiful picture. Possibly superior to rings. I walked over to my neighbors house this evening. When I got back I should have had two notifications on my phone. There were none. Checked the app. No recordings. It has consistently missed deliveries. For the first 4 days I tried everything to troubleshoot and tweak settings. Then I decided to chat with support. It took an hour to get thru and when I did the only thing they could suggest was a reset. I have now done that 3 times and can no longer lie to myself that this product is just not effective. Do I exchange it for the same product and hope that one functions as it should as they’ve recommended? I still haven’t decided. As is it is a very nice pet cam at best but with it being wired even that’s unlikely.

I’ve had this a for a year now and while it does its job I have a few issues. I have to reboot it every couple of weeks. The other issue is most like specific to my installation, the motion sensor Nico up every car that goes up the street.

Really like this product. Is it perfect...no. But it does exactly what I want it to do, and overall, does it well. Positives - no monthly subscription, local data storage, build quality very good, app offers flexibility in use, absolutely love the rolling, live video storage. Bottom line...it serves its intended purpose. Negatives - camera occasionally triggers from bugs-rain-tree movement, video quality is adequate...could be better. Overall, very pleased with the video doorbell's performance. Would I purchase again...yes, absolutely.

I initially bought the Ring $99 doorbell. After further research I found out that most smart doorbells require a monthly subscription fee to fully use them. This means if you want anything other than live view (such as previous events/recordings) you have to pay a monthly fee on top of your purchase price. I found this item, which is a best buy exclusive that does not require a monthly fee and comes with 32GB of local storage. This is plenty of space to record up to 5 days of continuous video (plenty of time to review events from the previous night, etc). This exclusive item has more storage than what you will find on Amazon for just a few bucks more. Its totally worth it. I did have to install a new doorbell transformer to power the unit. My install went quick and easy though (home depot was the only local store that had the transformer with the required power). Overall it works great with no subscription. I highly recommend.

Excellent camera to pair with my other eufy devices.

Video quality is very good. Audio quality is exceptionally loud and clear. This is one of the few doorbells that does continuous 24x7 recording. The fact that it does so without any monthly fee is another huge plus. That means this doorbell will pay for itself in no time. Finally, all of the video is stored and processed locally, making this a good choice for the privacy conscious. Unfortunately the motion detection leaves a lot to be desired. On the highest sensitivity, this detects people about one in five times. The only way it reliably detects people is if they're standing directly in front of the camera. If you turn off people detection and use motion detection instead, it gets a little better but still misses 30% - 50% of activity in the detection zone. I was going to buy two of these for my in-laws for Christmas but after using it for a few weeks I think I'll be buying them another brand instead.

Let me start off with the fact that I feel the euffy security app is ahead of it’s time. The issue I have is that their servers are not good for continuous recording and this specific model does not offer cloud services. What this means is if you have the camera on continuosly it will only register the last 12 hours of events before the servers lag out and dont show you videos. Leaving 4 stars in hopes they fix this issue.

I had an Arlo Video Doorbell and it worked as expected. I thought I'd try the new Eufy Video Doorbell. It works well with an occasional false notification of items that it thinks are human. Editing the zones helped bring the false notifications to almost none. I like the fact that you don't need to pay a monthly fee to save and view video. I only have it recording on human motion but it can record continuously if needed since it has onboard memory.

Purchased it for my elderly parents and love it. Works as it should, no monthly subscriptions, and I can manage their camera through my account as the system administrator.

Excellent doorbell for the price, yes the AI needs some tweeking but at this price and subscription free? I would dare to say its one of not the best valule doorbell in the market, also a lot of people dont talk much about the excellent Eufy app, the way it presents notifications its miles ahead of the googles or ring (which super sucks btw) All and all this is a very very good doorbell, would recommend 100%

Works good as a video doorbell. Easy to install on the house

Good product, but I didn't need 5 day recording so I returned it for the other wired doorbell. Everything works great but the human detection needs work, seems to think that wheels on some vehicles passing by is a person. Otherwise I'm happy with not having to pay a subscription fee and the image quality of this doorbell

The Eufy wired 2k video doorbell has been working great for us, for the most part. It's great to be able to see when people are leaving packages or coming to visit. I have not yet successfully spoken to a visitor via the doorbell, but have tested that it works. In the 3 weeks since I installed it, we've only had two visitors, and it took me long enough to grab my phone and pull up the app that the visitor left before I could talk. Perhaps when I set it up with the Echo it will be more seamless. The sound is loud enough to hear throughout the house, and installation was easy. I think all the issues I've had are user error. Hence the 5 starts.

Great product. Dont hesitate to buy it This is an awesome product. The video quality is excellent and the two-way sound is very good. There is nothing negative I can say about this product. I am really really happy that I chose it. I love the technical support and I love the on-site storage so I dont have to pay a monthly fee to store my images. Images below were taken the night that I got the doorbell. One is with the internal infrared lighting with no lights on and the other was only the porch lighting. Daylight is even better.

So far so good. Doorbell easy to install and works as expected. I notice that it doesn't pick up every person that comes into my porch unless they ring the doorbell. I expected all activity to be detected. I like that there is no monthly subscription for the device which was a selling point for me.

I had the doorbell for two weeks now and so far so good. Installation was very easy since I was able to use my old doorbell wiring. The volume of the chime is loud enough to hear from the bedrooms upstairs. Had to tweak the sensitivity and activity zone settings a few times in the beginning since I was getting a lot of false notifications from swaying trees and passing cars. So far I was able to get it to work with very minimal false notifications. The thumbnail notification is a great option. Love this doorbell !
