We purchased two of these cameras and were happy with the quality and features that we ordered two more. We are now considering replacing our ring doorbell (which we love) with a eufy doorbell. I highly recommend these for anyone who cannot hard wire cameras. I particularly love that it designates between “motion detected” and “person spotted”. Great buy!

As many neighbors can attest, the rate of crime seems to be climbing in real time where we live. Lots and lots of porch pirates. So we have cameras set up, but we've been wanting to put up a wireless camera in our backyard for a while. The Eufy L40 is a pretty self-contained unit, meaning no monthly costs, no additional equipment required, other than your phone. Set up was as simple as plugging it in and charging it overnight, downloading the Eufy app, and then following the prompts. We do use Ring cameras around the front, but the motion detection isn't the greatest, with the light not triggering despite someone clearly walking along the action zone. With such a large area to cover in the back, image quality was something we specifically needed. Mounting was a cinch, as the included little plastic guide gives you the drill bit size needed, as well as a template for where the screws will go. Line it up, drill the holes, and then install. Easy. Motion sensing was surprisingly accurate, with only a very small number of false alarms. The spotlight is 600 lumens, and arranged as a ring around the outer edge of the camera. AI is supposed to learn and improve facial recognition as it goes forward. Again, no monthly fees, and as close to plug and play as you can get. IP67 rated for outdoor use as well, for peace of mind.

We have had this camera a little over a month now and its been great. The only thing im not auper impressed with is the notification time to my phone when someone is spotted. It seems to be about 30 seconds to a minute behind. Not a problem unless its someone that I don't want around.

Love the no subscription part but they randomly disconnect at times and they have to be reset to best make it work again. I will keep for sure since theyre very reliable, but i recommend an extender if you have a bigger home due to that disconnection issue.

Good camera but at times it has issues with quickness of popping up when you're trying to view on the app. Doesn't stay connected as good as other Eufy cameras to the internet. Only will buy if it was on sale I had a good price

I enjoyed my time with this camera. It got the job done and performed well. I ultimately decided to go with the wired version because I wanted the 24/7 continuous recording feature.

Great camera, I just have Wi-Fi connectivity issues even though the Wi-Fi is just five feet away, but it works most of the time. I would buy it if it’s on sale.

Another great camera to add to my Eufy setup! The Eufy Spotlight Cam Pro is an all-in-one camera solution with up to 2k resolution and 8GB of local storage. Although the camera can be used as a standalone unit, it adds nicely to an existing Eufy base station. The camera has a 600 lumen ring spotlight and claims a 120 days of use on a full charge. The ring light is bright enough for descent night color imaging but can also be setup for regular black and white infrared night vision as well. Just like other Eufy cameras, no hidden fees with a descent amount of local storage with optional cloud storage available starting at $3/month. Finally, a camera system with flexibility, excellent video quality and quality software!

The camera does its job but buyer be aware that it is incompatible with any Eufy solar panel. What a shame! If you hate climbing ladders for recharging the cam every few months and prefer a solar panel to go with the cam, look elsewhere. The Best Buy page suggesting a bundle with solar panel is misleading. Moreover, it is no different than others in the market with lot less price tag.
