So one thing that Eufy and Bust Buy (and nearly every other retailer and e-tailer for that matter) fail to mention is that the HomeBase works best when you add a hard drive to the mix. The good news is that nearly any laptop hard drive is compatible, and is incredibly easy to add. The bad news is you may also need to buy a precision screwdriver to install the drive. The bad news is you’ll probably decide two weeks later that you need a bigger hard drive. I suggest a 5400 RPM model as transfer speed isn’t a big issue but heat may be at some point. Otherwise, the S220 cameras are great and easy to use, the HomeBase is incredibly easy to use, and there are so many compatible options in the Eufy ecosystem to this that you’ll be able to find a camera to fit ANY need. Just as a side note, the reason I suggest a hard drive over a SSD with the HomeBase is that SSDs have a shorter lifespan than hard drives while being constantly written to, especially lower-end models with QLC memory chips. With 5 of my cameras constantly recording at 2k resolution, I’ve already captured 320GB of video in a week. Best Buy does sell 1 and 2 TB laptop hard drives that work perfectly with this and won’t break the bank.

These SoloCam S220 cameras are amazing! The solar panels keep them powered 24/7 — no need to worry about charging or cables. Setup took me less than 10 minutes for both, and the Eufy app makes everything super simple. The video quality is sharp and clear, even at night, and the motion alerts come instantly. I installed one at the front door and one in the backyard, and they’ve both been flawless. Totally worth it for peace of mind and zero maintenance!

Great cameras. Easy to install. I did not have a power source near me so I went with the solar powered option. They work perfect for what I needed. Probably purchase a few more. I did not get the one with the hard drive. Honestly with what the cameras have and the home base is enough. It only records clips. You can also view on you phone live.

These Eufy cameras are very high-quality built-in solar panels to keep the batteries charged and the quality is very good color and black and white.

These cameras are awesome, the picture is great during the day, and the night vision is really impressive. I gave them a full charge, and it's been over a month, and they are still at 3 bars even in the gloomy Minnesota springtime. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because you can only snooze notifications for up to 12 hours at a time, sometimes I'd like to turn off the notifications completely.

I love Eufy products and this is just another example of their quality. Easy to install, works great, and incredible video.

This is a great purchase, you don’t have to pay monthly fees offered by other products. This gives real time notification that made me feel that our home is secured 24/7

Overall happy with the system. It is nice to have a base with a larger hard drive option local to your home. I like not having to pay a subscription but still being able to access my videos and cameras from anywhere. The app and camera system could stand a bit better configuration options but overall it works good.

Cameras work great and stayed charged with the integrated solar panel. Homebase is great especially since the storage can be upgraded.

Cameras are clear. Get a great view of my yard. The solar charging is awesome. I don't have to worry about charging the cameras. The privacy aspect of keeping my recordings local and not having to pay for a subscription is great

If you are in the look for new cameras, try these!! I was skeptical about solar cameras but they are by far the best in the market. I really like the clarity, the picture is so clear you can spot a fly from 100 feet away.(LOL not that good but you get the picture. I am not a good electronics nerd but these are very easy to set up.

Wireless cameras are top quality with on device storage or hub expanded ssd. No subscription!.

Item doesn't need wiring it's solar, and the base is very strong compared to my old Ring doorbell, it separates strangers from known people you set and an external hard drive can be added with extra USB wire

Bought to be able to monitor home when traveling. It was straightforward to setup and the video quality was solid. The local AI features allow for a custom system.

So far working really well. Replaced arlo that never worked properly. Eufy to the rescue. Like that I was able to add my own hard drive. Range is good also.

The cameras themselves are great. Super good video quality and easy to install. The app is the only issue. It tends to glitch but overall would recommend!
