There’s a lot of really great stuff in this movie, but it’s quality is really going to be dependent on how the final Evangelion movie turns out, Sone really impressive animation.

This version of the movie is in the best quality possible and definitely helps you appreciate the work put into the art. The extra features really help to round out the experience. This movie is a must for any fan of Evangelion or Anime in general.

While the direction of the movie is to leave the audience as confused as possible, it still manages to intrigue and entertain with Fantastic animation. Lovers of the classic anime as well as the rebuild movies will get a lot out of it.

Absolutly stunning visuals and fast paced action make this movie, but an overly confusing and unexplained plot keep it from being is best. Even when watching the first two before. Definitely a fan movie with prior knowledge being a must.

I have the whole dvd collection of the evangelion series. When they made the blu Ray versions, it just up scaled, improved the quality of the older DVDs and added some cgi effects. This one is a whole new storyline. I enjoyed it anyway

The movie itself is really good and I can’t wait till the 4th movie of the rebuild series releases to end the series off. This is a great movie for anime watchers

I enjoyed the first two revisions of this classic anime. The third takes some odd turns and is a bit confusing. It leaves the story very open ended so hopefully the fourth and final film will come out soon.

What happened to the character designs?

All the characters seems to be differently designed than the previous two entries of movies. I wish they did not do the time skip. Not as shocking and messy as the original TV series.

It was a solid DVD. It was about time they came out with the final movie. Not nearly as good as the original series, but not as bad as some of the other ending I have seen for anime series.

Evangelion: 3.33 is an incredibly flawed work – the entire first 40 minutes feel like they're from another, less interesting film, and we aren't much further along in the story than we were at the end of the last one. You don't walk away from this one with any new answers about what in the world all of this is building to, only knowing that Shinji Ikari has gone through crucial and painful emotional growth – and we don't even get to see how it's changed him. But there's an important difference at the very end of this movie that gives me a tremendous amount of hope for the final installment.

If you loved the original series then you are going to be very happy with this retelling of the show. If you are on the fence about this I will say they have added a ton to make it a whole new experience.

The wait for this to release felt like forever but I'm certainly glad it finally came out. If you've seen 1.11 and 2.22 you need to see 3.33. I only hope it doesn't take ten years for the last installment.

Mediocre 3rd film in series

I really liked the first 2 films in this retelling of the story, but this third film isn't quite as good as the first 2. The film opens with a bang, then the pace slows down quite a bit. In this film, the story diverges drastically from the original. The quality of animation is good, especially during the action scenes. A very unusual ship is introduced - its design is interesting to say the least. One thing hasn't changed - Shinji is still an infuriating kid you just want to smack. Looking forward to seeing how the story ends in the fourth film. Will it be another ambiguous finale?

This a great continuation to one of the genre defining anime. Any mecha fan NEEDS to watch this tetralogy (this being the third). Finale will be out until 2020 unfortunately.

Hard to understand at times and intentionally confusing ALL the rest of the time, Evangelion Q is a strange Part 3 for this series. However, if you're a fan already- get it. You'll enjoy it. This film is NOT for people who haven't seen the previous two films. I also don't recommend it for people who have already seen all of Neon Genesis Evangelion- if you are one of those people, you can skip Evangelion 1.11 safely (it's a direct, shot-for-shot remake of the first 6 episodes of the series). 2.22 however, is required viewing before this.

This film is masterfully done, visually appealing in every regard and conceptually it touches on the very real AI, and Big Data Concepts that we will begin facing in the years that follow.
