Part 3 of Evangelion Reboot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mystery thickens! Part 3 returns with the main character awakening to new developments after the literal explosive Part 2 ending. Great animation work and worth owning for collectors or fans of this series.

Incomplete
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been waiting for this movie for what seems like a lifetime. When I found out it was released, it was very late in the day - so I had rushed to a local Wal-Mart and purchased the single disc Blu-Ray that comes with a slipcase and the guidebook. Brought it home - watched it - and sadly, was very disappointed. A lot is not explained in this movie, and it is best to wait for it to be "re-released" as a collection of the entire Rebuild. Just imagine only watching half of The End of Evangelion, then having to wait for the second half. That is essentially what you are getting here. Also, imagine what you've already heard about the movie - that it's 14 years after the events in 2.22 - now imagine the movie ending after reading that. Once again - a lot is not explained in the movie, and it ended feeling incomplete leaving myself with a lot of unanswered questions. It is unknown when the final film will be released, but here's hoping it won't take as long as the third film, and that a large majority of my questions get answered then. A lot of other reviewers are reading in to the movie with the knowledge of the "original" series as a whole. As a Rebuild of that series, and especially after the first two movies, 3.33 feels out of place. If included as an addition to the end of 2.22 (which I feel would explain the subtitle of 3.33), I would recommend this feature film. Although, on its own - I say RENT. Wait for the movie collection of the Rebuild if you are a fan and you want to add this movie to your collection.

A peculiar yet splendid Evangelion film
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While not as crowd-pleasing as the last film, Evangelion 3.33: You Can (not) Redo is still another good film in the franchise.
