My son turned me onto Evangelion years ago and it hooked me. We saw this third film retelling in the theater 2+ years ago and have waited patiently while Funimation got it out. Granted, it got a little bit hard to follow for me, but the genius that he is, my son explained all the nuances and everything makes perfect sense now. So all you crybabies out there complaining how ambiguous this film is, dig deeper, it's really well done.

The story was a complete mess imo the Art and anamation was top notch as always. Why the movie is fast foward 14 yrs is just mind boggling to me it's almost feels like a completely different story from the first 2, I hope the final movie of the Rebuild Series answers questions. So in final story is weird the Art is absolutely Amazing. I would only recommend this if your a EVA fan.

This is a great addition to the prequels that came from the original Evangelion anime series. The action and story is all very good. However, I recommend watching the first two parts with a small time gap between each movies. It has probably been 2+ years since I have watching 1.11 and 2.22 and I felt a little lost throughout 3.33. Still great stuff though.

This entry into the rebuild series is even more of a departure from the series than 2.0 was. I literally have no clue what they plan to do with the final movie, but I could not be more excited about it. If you're a huge NGE fan like I am, you'll want to purchase this and watch it a few times to really think about what direction they will go into with the finale.

Do you want to yell at Shinji to get in the f__king robot for the millionth time?! Great!! Because this movie is for you.
Legit, though, this is a great third part. The animation is crisp, storyline captivating and has interesting differences to the original series.

Has been waiting more than 2 years.
This is great series. 1.11 & 2.22 are very close to original TV version, but 3.33 is not that much. Something difficult to understanding the story.
Shinji made another The Impact than got coma, after story is difficult. Why against each other side..?.
Anyway, I like this movie and so much respect next last one.

Although there were a few places where the story seemed to stall, still a solid entry in the Rebuild of Eva series. Worth getting the blu-ray version for the crisp animation. All I can hope is that when they finally get around to bringing Evangelion 4.0 around to the States, it doesn't disappoint. Such a good series deserves to have a grand finale!

I originally bought this movie for my husband. (I am not into anime what so ever) I didn't know anything about the first two movies. So, I decided to watch this movie with him after her begged and begged non stop. I fell in love with it! I had to watch the first two to understand what was going on. Coming from a non-Anime lover, I highly recommend this movie!

It seems like it took FOREVER for the third installment to come out here in the US. This release was overdue by over a year. Evangelion is what drew me to Anime almost 20 years ago, and while this reimagining has drawn it's criticism, the production values and faithfulness to the original material using current production techniques is amazing.

I'm a huge fan of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series. This is the third movie installment in a 4-part series; a retelling of an amazing tale that has thus far has done well in filling in storyline gaps from the original. The visuals are amazing! And the soundtrack is well mixed and theatrical quality. Can't wait for the next movie to be released!

If you are an Evangelion fan, you will likely take any new content you can get from the series, so it is interesting to see the show go in new directions with this movie. That said, I don't know if some of the new directions actually work, but at least the action scenes are some of the best in the series history.

So, I usually skip the Evangelion series mainly because i find the idea of a series that makes one person suffer like this.. but this movie was awesome to me on its own. It was definitely sad at the end but the overall story and characters connected with me. Definitely borderline yaoi at times but thats why i liked it so much.

Have been a fan of this series for years now. While I know this particular crux of the series is buildup for the final portion, it didn't seem to have the same impact as the first two films. Hopefully we won't have to wait as long for the final film as we did for this one. Still a welcome addition to any fan's collection.

This one was a long time coming. The second movie released seven years ago in 2009. For those still following, this is the third film in the 're-telling of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion TV series. For fans of the franchise, it's a film worth adding to the collection and comes with a mini artbook and guide.

A wildly divergent take on the Evangelion Story

Continuing from the events from the 2nd movie this retelling of the series continues to diverge greatly from the original series. Animation is still top notch but the changes might be a bit too much for purists.
Either way any Evangelion fan should at least watch this movie for themselves!

This one picks up quite awhile from when the second movie took place. You won't get many answers from the movie as to what happened and why things are the way they are. I guess the fourth movie will explain it. The visuals are top notch and the voice acting is spot on.

If you've already picked up Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22, you owe it to yourself to fill out your collection. The animation is superb, and the included extras are nice. There's still one more film in Rebuild of Evangelion,, but that could be a long way off. In the mean time, pick this up!

This is part 3 of an interesting retelling of the original Evangelion.
Perhaps not a good as the original though. Still a worthwhile viewing for Anime fans, however there are some changes from the original that may not sit well with hardcore fans of the series.

I would recommend to watch 1.11 and 2.22 before attempting to watch 3.33. Tackling 3.33 before watching the other two you will be quite confuse. Action is top notch and focus on Shinji mental breakdown what everything that is happening around him since 2.22.
