Modern look, great grill
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been begging my wife for us to get a grill. We live in a Townhome with a small backyard. No access beyond the fences as we are surrounded by other units. This posed a problem for us because we could not wheel in a bbq grill, and I really didn’t want to wheel one through my living room. In comes the Everdure Fusion, which combines a modern sleek and minimalistic design with great cooking qualities. Fusion? I can utilize both traditional Charcoal (provided!!!) and a plug in aspect. After a few weeks of using it now that the weather is more cooperative here in SoCal, here are my initial thoughts: Pros: -Design: this is a beauty. Not too large or heavy and you don’t need to have too much space set aside in our small yard. It comes with stand for the grill to rest on, just at my waist level, or can be mobile if we wanted to use when we travel. The grill area itself is just enough for me to cook for our family of 4 and not feel overwhelmed or feel that the grill area is too small. Tucked away underneath is the tools for setting up the rotisserie forks that can be placed. There are two stands that pop up and can has two height adjustments. Also tucked away is the power cord which connects to your outdoor wall outlet. -Easy to clean: the charcoal pit comes separate, placed above the burner and can be removed for cleaning. The grill itself is foldable and a joy to use and clean. - Accessories: my set came with the stand, fabric covering when not in use to protect from the elements, and a large bag of charcoal (which is why the total weight when delivered was 125 libs). The cover was perfect and much needed as the day after I received it, it rained here. Cons: -No wheels. The base is heavy so that it will not tip over. But, like moving a table, it’s a pain. Wished there was a wheeled option. -Powercord: measures at 59 inches and I didn’t want the Everdure grill to be so close to the entry of our home. Maybe another 36 inches would have been nice. Overall, I am really happy with this grill. Easy to use, easy to clean, and fits our lifestyle.

The modern way to grill/roast
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love grilling but I usually use a gas grill, this is the first time I used charcoal and I was impressed by this Everdure. Putting it together on my own it took about 40 mins following the instructions. It came packed in 3 different boxes and the main delivery box was huge. After the initial installation let me tell you this grill is beautiful it has this modern look and is very practical meaning you can actually use it on a counter. The pedestal is a separate unit and the grill just sits right on it, great idea. To ignite the charcoal there is no need for matches or lighter fluid, just press the ignition button and the heat element will do the trick. It took approximately 7 minute to get it started and an additional 15 to start cooking and that was with charcoal in the entire pan. Once the grill was fried up I noticed the meat cooks really fast and the flavor was amazing. One thing I found to be a bummer was the grilling space. It is not that big so you can’t cook large portions like for big parties but the cooking time kind of makes up for it. This thing just not only grill you can actually roast as well and that’s a huge plus. On each side there are hidden rotisserie poles that you pull out by pressing on them now that's really impressive. When you attached the rotisserie rod with your meat, you pressed on the rotisserie button and the grill will spin it for you. Be advised that to use the rotisserie and the electric ignition functions you need to connect the grill to a power outlet. That being said they were smart enough to add a retractable cord into this grill. Cleaning was very easy because the charcoal / ashes sits on a removable pan. With this unit I received I got the Everdure charcoal and it works exactly as advertised even the ignition time. They recommend natural lump charcoal but it also works with briquettes. Also got their grill cover with it and is a perfect match to protect your investment. I like the way this cover is built like with a flexible rubber surface on the inside that will not scratch your grill. Overall I am very impressed with this grill, now it makes me think differently about cooking with charcoal. There is a hefty price that comes with this grill but the practicality, functions, the built quality and that sleek modern look will definitely worth it.

Elegant, simplistic, and convenient.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost, I’d like to mention that this grill is intended for smaller cookouts and I live in an apartment complex so the size is too perfect. With that being said, it will be judged based on comfort, practicality, and ease of use. The grill comes in multiple pieces; the base plate, the top plate that holds the grill, and the grill itself. It’s all held together by head socket cap screws and they provide you the L Wrench to put it together. Very simple setup. The cool part about this is that you can take the grill off the base and set it somewhere (it has legs) and use the base as a table with the optional bamboo top (which I will be purchasing ASAP.) It’s simple to start, connect the cord that retracts inside the grill, fill it with charcoal and give it about 7-10 minutes. Voila, man-kind invented fire and now a self igniting charcoal grill. It almost brought a tear to my eye. No more standing over the grill babysitting a fire that barely licks the metal grill. Now for the bells and whistles. Inside the grill there’s a compartment to the left if you’re standing in front of the grill. Inside the compartment there’s the skewers that you can stick into a roast. I’m the top of the grill (both sides) there’s two metal circles which if you press down they will click and pop up. You’ve got your rotating rotisserie. Simple, easy, elegant. If I could give this 6 stars, I would. Bravo Everdure!

A Modern Charcoal Grill That Works Very Well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Assembly: Setup was quite simple and took me about 30 minutes total, from unboxing to ready-to-barbeque. The only thing that needed screw assembly was the pedestal, and even that was easy. The grill itself is 90% assembled with the exception of some parts around the heating element, and that was easy too. The grill is fairly lightweight and can be handled by one person. Honestly, assembly shouldn’t be an issue for anyone here. First Use: A big thing to note: You have to plug this in to your 120v outlet. Using Everdure Natural Lump Charcoal, I piled the coals at the center of the grill where the heating element resides underneath and pressed the igniter button. The ignitor button illuminated red and within a few minutes, I began to see smoke start to slowly billow. That right there is more than half the battle completed with a touch of a button. I gave the coals about 30 minutes to gray over and retain heat before arranging the coals and starting the spit. The heating element does turn off after a few minutes and is not responsible for keeping the coals hot, but only start them. With the coals in full effect, I decided to do a spit roast because that is one of the key features of the grill that you won’t normally find on another charcoal grill. Using the provided spit rod and forks, I was able to easily secure the rack of pork before placing it over the grill. The grill has pop up rotisserie poles that have 3 height adjustment levels; I opted for the highest level due to the size of the roast I was doing. I had a little trouble placing the roast over the coal with the spit rod, but that was me not fully understanding how the rod locks into place. Once I understood how to seat it on the poles (and it’s quite fool proof), I pressed the spin button and away we go! The roast slowly rotated over the heat and all that was left was to wait for the meat to be done. I occasionally added coal to keep the heat going, but that's something you do for all coal grills anyway. Clean Up: As with all charcoal grills, the lumps become ash and you probably want to have a shop-vac ready. Or even better, the pan where the coals sit can be easily removed to dump the coals in your trash bin. It’s probably a good idea to clean the pan regularly as all I can find as a grease/oil catch is a little pan underneath the heating element. Also, the pan itself is on the shallow side so you’ll have to clean it more often than not. Conclusion: There is no secret to making a great barbeque, but what does matter are the tools that get you there. The Everdure Fusion does just that; it can easily start coal without lighter fluid and a light. The rest is up to you to keep the coals lit and food cooking. The Fusion even takes it up a notch with a built-in rotisserie (with spit rod and fork storage within the grill), and I felt that it performed well overall. But now to the elephant in the room…. I would say that most would think the price is on the high side for a grill of its size. The market is flooded with charcoal grills, and even gas and pellet varieties are available for around the same price that may offer a whole lot more in terms of ease of use and versatility. I think one would buy the Everdure for its looks first and then ease of use, which it does well. I rated it high because I understand what market this product is trying to satisfy as a high end grill. This not an overpromise, underdeliver issue at all. At the end of the day, it’s a really, really, really nice looking, easy to use charcoal grill (with rotisserie!). If that’s what you’re looking for and want to pay the premium, this is a great grill to complement your backyard. If not, there is a vast selection of grills at a fraction of the cost, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with saving money for something that is as capable as the Everdure.

Probably the coolest thing I've gotten
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have really enjoyed this product in the limited time I've gotten to use it. Came literally the day I was moving apartments, so a great house warming gift. I'll run down some of the key things that stood out to me. 1. Set up is pretty simple, building the pedestal was the only thing that required a tool. Everything else just slides into place. 2. The compartment for the rotisserie spit and forks is really nice. 3. Has retractable power cord, length is about 3-4 feet long. 4. Neat way to place the lid with the hooks on the lid. 5. Small compact size, height is around 3ft, grilling area is small so it wouldn't be great to try and feed a large group but is perfect for an apartment patio. Somethings I'm not to fond of 1. Small size for the price 2. The rotisserie pole doesn't seem to be long enough to securely and confidently place on the posts as it would fall out. It does extend but to me it just doesn't seem long enough. I do love this as it's simple to use and is small enough to transport to different venues. Even came with a high quality covers.

Fire starting with the press of a button!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Grill technology has always been the same, for the most part, with more and more accessories needed to really accomplish every cooking option available. The Everdure FUSION grill is endorsed or designed by Heston Blumenthal, a Michelin Star awarded chef from Great Britain known for his foodpairing and “multi-sensory” cooking style. The grill is not only stylish, but also versatile giving you the ability to also use a Rotisserie attachment that is nicely hidden in a small storage compartment and uses a “Fast Flame Ignition System” to start the fire. In the box you will find the grill with the heating element likely already installed, a heat shield & support for the heat element, a lid with a handle, an open grill (where you cook things on), a charcoal chamber with a piece for the cut out, the manuals, a quick user guide, warranty information, and (in my case) a separate box with the Pedestal assembly. I should note that you will save some time with assembly if you have another person with you, and you may need a Philips screwdriver, just in case anything needs to be tightened up. The pole support comes with the appropriately sized tool for use when assembling the pedestal. I also received a nice cover, which is a perfect fit for the grill on the pedestal. There is also a short retractable power cable attached to the grill for the two functions. The grill is designed in a way, where most of the inner parts can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement (if needed), including the heating element. Assembly took me about 45 minutes, given all the unpacking of parts and performing this task on my own. It also does not require the pedestal to function with its already attached four feet. This is great for those with balcony patios and are only allowed smaller grills. You get a convenient size, with a smaller footprint, and a larger cooking area. The fact that it does not require a lot of charcoal also means that bag of briquettes might last a bit longer. Functionally, this grill surpassed my expectations. The hidden/retractable rotisserie poles are easily popped up on both sides and turned to lock in place. The actual rotisserie rod and forks are stored on the left side of the grill, inside a small compartment with a swivel door. This saves you from having to store the accessory separate of the grill and the ability to hide away the rotisserie poles is great. Setting up the rotisserie is straight-forward process. Simply grab the forks and rod from the side compartment, pop up the retractable poles to your preferred height, and install the rods with your protein of choice. While I am not a rotisserie expert, the Fusion grill makes performing this task easy, with a simple button press to start the turning. The included quick user guide does a great job illustrating the different cooking methods and should help you decide the best way to arrange the fire for your selected method. To start a grill session, simply fill the charcoal chamber with your charcoal of choice on top of the steel insert and hit the flame ignition button to start. You will notice a light ring indicator turn on around the start button. The manual points out that the starter turns itself off after a few minutes, so you do not need to worry about turning it off. Let me just state, this was by far the easiest fire start I have ever had, as the charcoal was ready in about 10 minutes or so. I was fully expecting to need to use my grill lighter to get it going, or some starter fluid, but was surprised with how effective the ignition system is. After a few minutes, the fire continued to grow, until the charcoal was ready to spread. From start to ready was about 20 minutes with the wood briquettes I was using. Since I was making some burgers and chicken, I opted to spread the heat out evenly in the chamber, leaving a small gap near the top of the chamber. While I did have some flare ups from cooking, they easily subsided when I moved the meat (in this case burgers) from the grill after a few seconds. I would highly recommend reading the “Quick User Guide” or watching some of the “How to” videos mentioned on their website for a better understanding of the different cooking methods (direct vs indirect). I found them to be extremely helpful and informative, leading to a better cooking experience overall. While not a complicated grill, I did want to make sure I was using it the best way possible. This is clearly a grill designed for those who like to cook regularly but hate the idea of having to start a fire or clean up a traditional grill afterward. I can attest to the wonderfully cooked steaks, burgers, chicken, and even the stab at fish (using the indirect heat method). Everything cooked on this grill was cooked evenly, effectively, and I did not have to worry about the heat going out once. The small footprint, and manageable weight (at least to me), meant this took up less space and was easier to maneuver while leveling in my backyard. I can forgive the higher price, with the easy to remove charcoal chamber for cleaning, the added benefit of the rotisserie for even more at home cooking experiments, and the fire ignition system to a name few. I could also tell you how the design sparked a conversation with a new neighbor, who could see me using it, and asked what “cool” grill I was cooking on. It turned into a small impromptu, socially distant, backyard BBQ. Yes, I love this grill. Once you’ve tried it, you just might love it too.

Fantastic in Every Way!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had my new Fusion Electric Ignition Charcoal Grill for a couple days now and I have some thoughts….now that the left over’s from that first meal are all gone. I haven’t had a charcoal grill in years, probably a couple decades. I have nothing against charcoal, in some ways I prefer it. They were just more work to start and use and I just grew to prefer the convenience of propane grills. Well that paradigm has been altered to say the least. Actually Id say flipped on its head. This grill is AMAZING. First off I’d like to compliment Heston Blumenthal/Everdure for making such a high quality product. In some ways this thing feels like it was made 50 years ago. Every piece is solid and well engineered. I swear the grill grate alone weight half what my propane grill does. But in the other ways it feels ultra modern. The design is very clean looking. From the base to the support rod to the grill itself, everything looks great. Oh not to mention the great design on the rotisserie spit holders that disappear back in to the base when not in use. The grill cover for when its not in use s extremely well made as well. Once I received my grill I quickly tore into the box eager to give it a try. I’ve assembled many grills in my day. Not only my own, but as the handy friend that others often ask favors of…well let’s just say it’s been a lot in my 47 years. This grill was the easiest ever to put together. I know propane grills are more complicated, but this was simpler than even the old basic Weber coal grills. I probably could have had it together in 10 minutes if I didn’t keep stopping to admire the quality of the parts I was assembling. Some little details I LOVE. • The grill can be lifted right off the pedestal and set somewhere else if you prefer. • Then the pedestal can be used as its own sturdy table. • The electric ignition is insanely easy and quick; food is ready to put on it about 10-20 minutes at the touch of a button. • The spit can easily be adjusted to multiple heights. • The entire spit stores easily inside the device. • The porcelain enamel firebox looks to be of very high quality and easy to clean. • The way the forks clip onto the spit is fantastic. • Everything else looks great and feels so well built! Once we had It together and prepped with just right into it. We tossed two whole chickens on with just a basic touch of some spices. It was very cold out so It took a bit, probably a couple hours. But once they were done, OMG! They were so juicy and delicious. I never include pictures with any of my reviews but what we were looking at was so scrumptious looking I had to snap a pic. This grill is amazing in every way. I would absolutely recommend this to any friend looking for a high end charcoal grilling experience.

Simple artifact for exprience of gril and roating
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is review of Everdure Fusion with Free-standing pedestal. At first sight the grill is compact and functional for simple grill experience for which nicely put together. The package consist of 25 pieces included for barbecue and pedestal. Setting up is simple but assambling the pedestal takes bit of time but not complex at all. Before anything, having plugged to outlet, then placing the charcoal on the charcoal grid enough to cover the size of grid and then pushing the button start, takes about 7 min as does show in the instruction manual. Then additional 2-3 min while added charcoal gets all on fire ready to grill. As clarification, timing is based on the charcoal branded by Everdure Lump Charcoal. For this review I have tried to roast Beef Rib Roast Bone in Standing RIB, 10.45lb. Placing he roasting rod and getting ready to the process was simple as well. It was just preparing the meet and then placing in the Rotiscope, a Everdure given name, where you place the rod, then just push the button for roasting. Two surprising aspects; first is the supported weight. Initially felt the rod would bend or that would not rotate due to the weight, but worked without issues in this aspect. Secondly, the roasting doesn’t rotate always to one direction. It change after certain minutes, and mix with half and full rotation for both side. As roasting taking effect, due to the size I believe and as fat was dripping the meet get high exposure for fire then needed to pause then cut in parts and grill. This takes to grill experience but it is so simple as long as keep eye on the time in each side, meet is ready sooner than one would might have calculated. Then cleaning, although in the manual makes to look simple, in my case was not simple. I was not able to completely clean the charcoal grill, charcoal chamber Heat shield as the fat and other elements from the grill process gets spread around. Cleaned the rod ad the fork but that as well was not simple to make look clean. Now, what I did like: 1. Functional and practical. Functional is the grill can be separated from standing pedestal and has its own leg. Compartment to place roasting rod and fork. Practical is the designed starting fire and the space given between the grill and charcoal just exact enough to grill right moment of meet flavor if kept for 2-3 three min each side. This practical aspect lead to less time of preparation and calculation to how much more of charcoal and how much to make closer or far from grilling point, as result takes out that effort. 2. Its size is perfect for small group or family of 2-3 members hence one wouldn’t prepare more than needed producing unnecessary food waste. 3. The embedded roasting capability in the grill makes the product itself good proposition I think. One used to grilling and roasting with separate equipment would know need to prepare two separately and make work as one. With Fusion remove that extra preparation. What I didn’t like: 1. Doesn’t have option to regulate the fire. It is only that much as allowed in the charcoal chamber. Can’t increase or decrease for much. 2. Although the grill can be folded or moved to open mode and add or remove more or less charcoal, the process is bit cumbersome and doesn’t open easily as would be a lid opener. Need to retain the other half side such doesn’t move while there are meet grilling. If there is no meet grilling this is not an issue. 3. Doesn’t have a cover as regular grill would have suche to close in an unexpected windy moment as is the area I live. But its need is relevant for moment that the meet gets fire due to the fat which expand bit beyond the grill space. But if there would be wind become dangerous situation. 4. If roasting can’t grill in the same time as it takes all the heat needed for one thing, unless they are small sizes. Probably this is not he main purpose though. 5. Cleaning it is not that straight forward, Fat and meet juice form as big thing as would regular black grills, but on the contrary of those Fusion feels more alike an appliance with high time of cleaning to retain its look. For conclusion, it is simple and have both grill and roasting in one thing removing extra time and effort that takes regular ones. Really is desirable grill from my experience, but for the price tag it seems for more a specific niche of consumer that doesn’t mind that level of spending on appliance while exist much lower priced comparatives. Then as caution I would say from the experience for this review, if roasting or grilling, do not place it next to dry trees or fences for event of unexpected wind and due to fat from the meet the fire gets bigger than grilling space.

Aesthetic’s Grille Performs
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The prospects for Everdure are promising. As a passionate amateur griller, devices that make my cooking experience easy and joyful are key. There are countless grilles out there. Most are simple, others complicated. I love cooking with mesquite...and it takes FOREVER. As a designer, most grilles are too similar (excluding the classic and that green one) They are also too small or too big. The Everdure Fusion looked very promising. I was excited to unbox and assemble...and then I saw the daunting multitude of literature. I did what every guy does, glanced at the graphics and assembled the beautiful stand and grille without reading all those instructions. Around 20 minutes and two cut hands later (might want to roll those metal edges!) I was ready to go. I admired the clean, handsome looks and nicely integrated storage of the rotisserie and power cord. I realized perhaps there was some valuable insight offered in all that paperwork. Clearly the legal department had free rein and they (probably wisely) assume the target demographic might not be skilled at cooking with charcoal. Admittedly, there are good tips about charcoal distribution, dealing with flare-ups and cool-down. Read the docs guys! I picked up a nice boneless ribeye and corn with the husk on. Neatly arranging the Everdure wood (not briquette) charcoal, I pushed the ignition button and waited. 7:06 in, I see a nice orange glow and wisps of fragrant smoke. At the 9:00 mark, the heating element clicked off as scheduled and I waited. I like to sear, so I needed the coals to be super hot. At 24:00 there the flames died down and three minutes later there was ample ashy charcoal ready for cooking. Take a look at the photos. Wow. I did 10 minutes on the first side and 9 on the other. Gorgeous carmelized sear! I moved the meat off to the edges and and corn over the center. 12 minutes later, I’m eating well! Everything cooked perfectly. The cleanup was easy too. Once cool, I brushed the ashes into the shallow central metal bowl and dumped it in the waste bin. The grill had been brushed while warm and was easy to wipe clean. I haven’t used the rotisserie feature yet, but it looks well-designed. There are two pop-up posts and two durable, cool-looking cast forks that store in a side compartment. The only reasons for not giving this 5 stars: 1-I’d like to see assembly be a little safer and 2- A flip-up windscreen would be helpful. It’s a great product and I can tell they will continue to improve upon this success.

Just beautiful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This grill is really a beautiful piece of work. It is made of very high quality parts, which I love because then it will last a very long time. Most grills are made of parts that rust very easily, but not this grill. The pedestal is very heavy duty to keep the top part of the grill on securely and to make sure it wont just topple over. We have already grilled several meats; t-bone steaks, short ribs and chicken and each one was delicious! I love how easy it is to light up the grill. All you have to do is place the charcoal in the grill, plug it in and within 10min or less the grill is up and ready to use! The parts are so sleek and smooth that it’s so easy to wipe down and clean, even with the marinade sauce dripping down the sides. It is not a huge sized grill so I would estimate about 6-8 pieces of chicken at a time, depending on the size of the chicken. This grill is not for cooking for large parties, but is perfect for smaller gatherings. I’m very excited to use the rotisserie part of this too! I love how there is a little compartment for you to store the rotisserie poles away. You can also separate the pedestal from the grill in case you want to take the grill with you. The cover for the grill is also made of good quality material to protect your grill. I would def recommend this grill to anyone who loves to barbecue! We live to throw some veggies and steaks/chicken on the grill for dinner and this is perfect! We get the charcoal flavor without having to wait til the charcoals heat up like on a traditional grill.

Amazing Grill and Easy To Clean!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re reading this I hope it helps you decide to add this to your yard! It first caught our eye because the ignition button meant less danger and risk for family members! That alone should help you decide to get it. So, the perks: push button ignite button, easy to clean, beautiful to look at, and cooks evenly. Cons: the grate is a little stained, set up was fussy, and you have to make sure to clean everything once you’re done or you’ll just prolong a tough and messier clean up. We cooked fajitas our first night and we were very pleased! The cover really is helpful and it is true to size so there’s no extra hang off and it’s not too short. I have definitely had fun talking about it and letting friends watch the hot plate heat up the coals and see the flames start. All without fluid starter. Oh and of course the food tastes great. Our next project is to take a skillet and make steaks with compound butter! We can’t wait! What a great grill and just in time for spring and the Super Bowl!

Elegant, Grilling For Rotisserie or Steak
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off this is a beautiful, elegant, great looking grill. It is made to impress as well as to grill foods typically not done so on a standard grill. With its fast flame ignition feature, it makes the hassle of starting charcoal easier and less time can be spent on grill prepping. The Everdure Fusion makes for a different grilling experience. The Fusion grill comes along with various parts need to start grilling like a hinged chrome grill, a porcelain enamel firebox, a rotisserie rod, Everdure's Cliplock Forks, a nice pedestal, and more. Putting it together was not difficult and it can be seen how well the pedestal was made just by its sheer weight. The pedestal was especially made to impress with its quality materials and gaudy look. Although the pedestal does not need to be used and can double as a small table (Everdure sells a bamboo top), it serves the Fusion well to add some extra height. One thing I particularly liked about the Fusion grill was the storage compartment for the forks and rotisserie rod on its left side as well as a short retracable cord on the other side that is used for starting up the grill with its heating feature. Now for the best part: while using the grill, I was able to grill multiple meats and chicken including hotdogs, burgers, and rotisserie chicken. Using the Fast Flame Ignition System by Everdure allowed for me to heat up and start charcoal in about 12 minutes (with it being cool outside). I set a small mountain of charcoal on the heating plate and the electric heat element heated the charcoal to the point it started a burn and heated the surrounding charcoal. Grilling the food was nice and getting to use the Cliplock Forks and the "Rotoscope Technology" in the Fusion grill was pretty cool too. Flush to the top of the grill, on the left and right sides, are the steel stands for which the rod goes through to hold the forks and rotisserie. Pushing down on the stands brings them up, with the ability to be set at three different heights depending on one's preference. The rotisserie chicken stayed in place with the forks and cooked evenly with the rotating motion. All foods I grilled altogether did grill well and I noticed their 100% natural lump charcoal stayed hotter longer than the standard briquettes I usually use as well. Although there were many things to like about the grill, there were a few things that I would've liked to see from the Fusion grill. With its small grill top, there is an even smaller heating element. I found myself waiting for more charcoal to heat up and added to the time need to start grilling. For smaller portion foods it would be fine to heat and start the amount of charcoal able to fit on the heating element, but for larger amounts of food to be grilled, I would prefer to start more charcoal from the beginning. Also, I would've liked to see hook attachments or some mechanism to be able to hang or hold grilling utensils from the pedestal. Overall, I loved the way the grill performed and looked as well. Family I had over loved the look and features the Everdure Fusion grill had to offer. I would recommend it for the person that grills casually and looking to grill in a more lavish setting. Also, for foods that have a unique taste on a grill like rotisserie chicken, fish, or steak.

Next Level Charcoal Grilling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an amateur griller, at best. I have grilled in the past but have never been skilled at it and continue to learn from each meal I cook. With that being said, my experience with the Everdure Fusion has been extremely positive. What sets the Fusion apart from other grills is the ease at which you can get your coals going. Pile them up over the heating element, push a single button, and 15 minutes later you have coals that are ready to spread out and start cooking. I've been using the Fusion for about a week now and have cooked up a variety of steaks (NY strip, sirloin, and a couple of ribeyes) and also some hamburgers. Everything came out extremely tasty. I used Everdure branded charcoal and the steaks were the most delicious I've ever cooked myself. I have been watching some grilling tutorials online which have really helped. Some other items of note about the Fusion: - Clean up is very easy - The grill seems very high-end with terrific design. It seems built to last - I love the portability as you can easily lift it off the pedestal and throw it in your car to take camping or to the beach - Be prepared for it to wobble when cleaning it. While the pedestal stand is heavy duty, there is still some wobble to the grill, as there are with most if you are applying heavy pressure when scrubbing - The electric rotisserie feature is a nice inclusion. Not many grills can do this! If you purchase the Everdure Fusion I highly recommend also picking up the cover accessory (pictured). It fits perfectly over the grill, is nicely weighted, is waterproof, and held up nicely on some windy nights. I can't imagine it getting blown away.

Setup was a breeze and plugging it in and starting it up couldn't be simpler. The Fusion technology of the Everdure puts Tony Stark's Arc Reactor to shame. I'd even be willing to bet this Fusion grill could could a steak quicker than Tony Stark's earlier Arc Heart from Iron Man 1. What used to take a minute or 2 in a microwave now takes a measly 20-25 minutes on this grill. Simply push a button and in 10 minutes you're coals will start to whiten. Wait another 10 minutes depending on wind conditions, and you are ready to slap some meat on the grill. This bad boy gets HOT! You'll char a dog in no time so make sure your tongs are ready and your grill skills are up to par because when it gets to cookin' you best be lookin' or you'll be having well done errythang. Incredible design and extremely efficient in many ways. Highly Recommend for those who appreciate a minimalist design and need to conserve some patio space and also for those who don't need to cook 50 hamburgers at once. Perfect little grill to pick up when its on sale.

For BBQ lovers
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the design and functionality of my new everture, fusion. I have 2-weber gas grills, but the charcoal makes a better BBQ taste; you can add flavors too. It's a bit pricey, but the quality and easy use, and taste of food make it a great purchase.

Wonderful, easy to use!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I was a boy I used to help my mom setting up the grill on barbecue days and most of the times was really overwhelming light the charcoals and then keep it that way. Well the above doesn’t happen anymore with this Charcoal Grill and besides that it makes everything easy. Starting with the unboxing which is pretty easy, the grilled came almost assembled but there’s a few things to work on before using it. One of the key features is that comes with a ignition button I only have to place the coals in their place start the ignition, pretty simple, once it gets the charcoal on fire we could start cooking our food, having the option of rotisserie makes this grill even more efficient. The cleaning moment I thought was going to be a headache, thankfully is easier than most grills out there, it has a pan that can be remove for better cleaning. The design I think is minimalist and pretty nice, it looks like a professional grill XD, I loved it. This grill has the basic features everything needs but you have it in only one product, for a casual reunion or barbecue night with family and friend it’s a pretty good grill, it worth the price? Yes, if you want to save time and have a grill and rotisserie in the same place, no to be worry about lighting the coals or make a mess in the process and something easy to clean, it definitely worth the price, I can recommend this grill to anyone!

Was initially excited, but now..not so much
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was initially very excited about the purchased and literally waiting for Best Buy to have this item on their deal of the day; and once placed as a deal of the day I purchase this grill. I was attracted to the ease of use, styling and features. As all other reviewers reported it is fairly easy to use and mostly came preassembled. I supposed I missed the fine print of this smaller version because it does not include the grill cover nor the bag of charcoal and had to be purchased separately. Now as far as the grill itself; my experience the coal warmup was actually 10 min vs 20 min. Also, the rotisserie chicken estimates 2hrs which is a complete understatement. Frequently I found that I need to add more coal in order to extend the cook timeframe and even then the chicken was uncooked and I ultimately finished the chicken in my oven. Second, trial included a few premium steaks, I found that you truly need to cook any items over indirect heat and unlike a traditional grill this grill was more prone to frequent flare-ups. Overall, I‘ve looked that you need to literally stand over this grill 24/7 in order to gauge coal burnouts or flare-ups. I will equally state that once I invested in more premium charcoal the coal replacement was minuscule for longer grill or smoke timeframes. Will I ultimately keep this grill? Yes, simply to use for those quick grills and ease of use. Now, the grill cleaning is another storybook and tedious to say the least. Is it worth the initial 2k price tag? No! Was it worth the deal of the day pricing $599; ok sure :)

Makes grilling sexier!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never thought I will use “beautiful” to describe a grill. It is a really good-looking grill. The quality of the build, the finish, and the design. This pretty thing is where I cook my steaks now, ladies and gentlemen. That idea used to be unimaginable. Now, putting it together can be a little challenging—not because it is difficult to build, because it is the exact opposite. The manual just makes it more complicated than it is. So buyers beware, it is EASY to put together. Don’t be fooled by the manual and its components. I am a believer of really good design, not just the way one thing looks but how everything comes together. 1) This grill is so well-designed that there is an actual rotisserie stick that you can stow away within the grill to keep it looking sleek. 2) The plug to power it up, rolls into the unit as well. 3) This plug is the one that helps heat it up and it heats up the charcoal fast! 4) The actual metal grill is very stable and is foldable, so you can easily adjust charcoal under it to localize the heat when you need to. 5) The lid detaches and actually hooks to the side. 6) Lastly, no one likes to clean the grill—but hey, even the components are easy to remove and clean. Enough of those grills that you just put in your backyard just to get some real grilled food. Grills can actually come in a really cool package.
