Movie is ok as an action movie. It does not do too much of a backstory on the lead character or explains her skills and knowledge with guns. I figured she has previous history with those type of skills. There are some slow moments but it does get right into the action. I also felt the movie was unrealistic at times but I still enjoyed it.

I was a little skeptical at first about this movie and then I watched it and realized that it wasn't half bad! It had all of the excessive blood like Tarantino always delivers and the revenge aspect of The Professional. I would recommend it to those that like those two things! Oh! I forgot to mention that Selma Hayek is in it! It does have its cheesy moments in it and the filmmaker puts you right in the middle of the story at the very beginning.

I wrongly assumed this flick of casting another pretty face pushed beyond their acting ability. I was wrong! This flick is more than just Girl Power, it's action-packed. It reminds me of the Raid movies with so much action and blood that you can't step away for popcorn or to make a bathroom run (although I watched it for the first time on BluRay so I could have paused it, but why?). Good from beginning to end.

Selma Hayek is sexy and deadly in Everly a straight to video release. This movie is made in the image of Suckerpunch, and just about every Quentin Tarantino movie to date. The action is surprising and fun, it moves the story along and has you ending up cheering on Everly (Selma Hayek) as she fight for her freedom and to save her daughter continues. A fun, action-packed movie that won't disappoint.

This is definitely not Salma Hayek's best but its pretty good for a Friday night and a glass of wine. Or whatever.. there's action from start to finish. A very simple plot and decent acting. Salma at her funniest. I don't think it was supposed to be a comedy. Or maybe it was...Oh well. check it out. its worth the price of a discount video...

Not for the family for adults only because of the violent.

From the start to the end. None stop action. Salma Hayek is nice to look at. The plot seems a little like a comic book from time to time. But still a good action movie. And there maybe even a sequel. Not for young children.

Can Salma Hayek be the next female Jason Statham in a Kill Bill type sceanrio? - actually ....almost....a pretty bizzare world and overall premise - but for non stop action it was a rollercoaster ride of non stop action - adults only please - this is not for kids

It’s a movie where you find yourself saying “wow” all the way through. If you want none stop action delivered by a bad woman, this is the movie. And the action is completely in the apartment. Not for the light violence movie watcher because it never stops. Good adrenaline movie.

Not for everybody,it has very adult themes and bloody scenes.But fans of Tarantino, asian actioners and Frank Miller"s Sin City might enjoy but it has low buget limitions.

Selma's,performance was OK but no the best I have seem from her. Plenty of action though as long as a person likes to see lots of blood.

the movie was ok lots of action a little crazy but ok just needed a little more of a story line and it ended bad left you hanging

Lots of shooting lots of Selma. The camera doesn't leave the room. If that doesn't sell you you'll never like it.

I like Selma Hayek but the action took place in the same location it makes the movie look low budget

This movie has action, dark humor and more improtant...heart. But, this movie will not be for everyone. It all takes place in her apartment also. Give it a go if you want something fun and different. Not for the kiddies either.

This one was great fun. Action, violence, fun characters and (occasionally hilarious) dialogue! For those fans of a gruesome good time this one is hard to beat. Looks like a setup for a sequel, too. If so, count me in!
