    Solid Power Supply

Bought this as a replacement for a prior EVGA 1Kw power supply that went bad. It has ran very quiet and has been a solid replacement. EVGA is replacing my other power supply. EVGA RMA and customer support was easy and helpful, though not the quickest turn around and you have to pay for shipping to EVGA. Not unexpected though through standard warranties. I will be keeping this as a back up when the replacement comes or for a secondary build. Over all been very pleased with any EVGA product I have bought so far.

This evga power supply is a beast. At 850 watts it will supply most computers with enough power to push their peripherals to peak performance. A big fan keeps it cool, and despite its size, it will fit in regular sized desktops. It’s modular design allows you to use only the wires you need, which keeps your computer neat and less prone to excessive heat. This evga power supply is a win-win for anyone looking to have a mid to high level computer.

I have owned this power supply almost two years and it hasn't skipped a beat. I have an Asus Z270 Strix with 7700k processor overclocked to 5.2GHz with 2 asus strix gtx 1080Ti video cards 2 m.2 drives and 2 ssd drives, xspc water cooling setup with dual d5 vario pumps 8 rgb fans and a bunch of lighting. I was very surprised that this power supply has performed at this level. And it was under 100 bucks when I purchased it. Very satisfied

I swapped this PS for an older Antec 850W unit that was about 10 years old. Fit will into my Antec 900 case with no issues. Like the fact that only the basic cords are permanent w/all of the others being modular. Easily powers my new Intel i7-7700K KabyLake w/eVGA GeForce 1060, Samsung 850 EVO SSD, and 3 traditional HDD's.

At the time that i bought this product they had it on sale for around $60 to $70 and its amazing and easy to handle installment. I did have some trouble though due to limited space within my case however this was also my first build so i expected to run into some troubles, however it is an overall great PSU and would recomend it to anyone thats looking for a decent semi 850w PSU

The EVGA 850W BQ Power Supply (PS) provides consistent power with low noise. The semi-modular design works well for most PC builds and power supply replacement scenarios. The teflon coated fan bearings help keep noise to a minimum. The PS provides all of the necessary connectors for the majority of peripherals you find in a modern PC. A great power supply at a good price.

I was operating a computer with various peripherals using a 600W power supply. I made some changes to the system and then my system would no longer boot. I determined that the problem was an insufficient power supply and this EVGA 850W modular PS has done a great job. The system now boots as it should and I have power to spare, and since it is modular, you only plug in the cables you need so it is no longer necessary to have messy cables fill the inside of your tower if they are not being used.

This thing is classic quality EVGA! It powers virtually anything without issues and is whisper quiet. My 3080 coil whine is louder than this. LOL

This is a good power supply for the money. No problems, effecincy is pretty good, and has no problem powering My 1080 TI SC2, and 4 Hard-drives (albeit two of them are hybrid drives, and one is a SSD and don't consume near as much power). But all in all, good power supply for the money. Might move up to the gold or higher versions next time.

Solid budget power supply. Nice and heavy. Well made. The semi modular design is a God-send. So far it does just what it’s supposed to. Now I have the juice to upgrade my system components.

My Cooler Master PSU died on me before needing to complete something. Headed to Best Buy and they had this unit. It was disappointing they only had bronze spec, but it doesn’t make much difference. Installation was quick and easy, no damage to parts or box, nothing missing. Modular is a plus.

It works as one would expect

Everything is working as one would expect with a power supply. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and there have been no issues. I did have one problem during installation but not sure if I can actually blame this power supply for it. My old power supply was a modular unit as well. The plugs on the wiring harnesses for the old and new units are the same so I decided to reuse the old harnesses since they were all zip tied in place and neat. That was a mistake. After frying a hard drive and an optical drive I discovered that while the harness PLUGS are the same, the WAY THEY ARE WIRED is not. Apparently there is no standard for this or someone did not follow it if it does exist. If someone didn't follow the standard, I don't know which company it was. Once I used the harnesses that were supplied with the new power supply then all was good. Consider this a cautionary tale from someone who learned the hard way. Even if there is a standard for something, don't assume it was followed...

I caught it on sale and as a open box unit for $52 and you really can’t beat that. it’s very quiet. I’ve had it for about a month and forgot that machine was running most of the time. I went so far as to check the voltage that was coming out of it with a voltmeter and it exceeded expectations across-the-board go by this and you’ll be a happy person for the rest of your life all the time
