Who doesn't love The Evil Dead? Maybe those with weak stomachs and low tolerance for weirdo slapstick -- but they don't make practical effect low fi shockers like this anymore! Bruce Campbell and the effects crew pull out all the stops under Sam Raimi's expert direction to deliver a scary thrill ride filled with gore and laughs. This is a classic, also the blurry delivers on all fronts for the price.

Best Buy doesn't sell movies anymore, so why would anyone be looking at this? Evil Dead II is a masterpiece and this is an excellent transfer

I'm a gamer and avid nerd. I purchased a 4k tv when they were still new on the market and super expensive. I've been an Evil Dead fan since my father came home from the rental store with Evil Dead on VHS. I've seen this in virtually every format. I can't tell the difference between the 4k and Bluray versions. For the price this one might seem like a cash grab unless you've never seen the movie before.

I LOVE this film and in this release you not only get a stunning transfer of the film but also all the bonus features ported over from the bluray release. You even get a really cool featurette featuring different film makers telling what Evil Dead 2 means to them. Very interesting featurette for sure. This film looks outstanding in 4k!!

What more can be said about this film than already has been provided by the great film reviewers of old? It is a true mismatch of all things great and entertaining. With a 4K format providing upgraded image and sound, immersion becomes the name of the game. You, my friend, can truly experience this treat as Raimi intended. Excellent work.

Personally, I loved this. I thought the visuals were really good. And who can forget about the audio? That was really good as well.

Looks amazing on my oled tv. Don’t expect a crystal clear image as this movie was filmed in the 80s but still looks great on a 4K tv. I actually noticed a lot of details I hadn’t before when it comes to cosmetic makeup that I wish I hadn’t but it doesn’t ruin the movie for me. Still one of my favorites to this day.

Looks great in 4k with hdr. It supports both hdr10 and Dolby vision. Comes with digital copies as well. If you have a Dolby 4k Blu-Ray player, dv looks the best. Fyi xbox does not support dv for 4k blu ray, only hdr10. Dv only in apps. Other than that, gorgeous transfer. Very vibrant.

The remaster/transfer on this is insane. A worthwhile upgrade, but there's one quip: the string that was attached to the eyeball gag has been erased. Killed some of the charm of that effect, but overall it's an amazing print.

I felt the 4k transfer could of been a bit better..but overall a classic I had to have....

This movie has to be one of the greatest things movies ever made mixing horror with comedy and now that it has been released in 4K it truly makes the expierence wayyyy better so please purchase, no regrets here!

Great Cult Classic movie. Easily one of my all time favorite franchises.

Sam Raimi’s evil dead is awesome! This one is a lot funnier then his original Evil dead but it is sooo good! The movie is worth watching just to see Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams all by itself.

Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness are some of my favorite horror/comedy movies. Evil Dead 2 looks awesome in 4K and I can't wait for Army of Darkness to re-release in 4K. Must buy !

This movie was far more intense, violent, funny and over the top than the original. It's worth watching and is a must have for ant zombie fans or horror collectors!

Sam Raimi had better funds for this one. Basically a remake of "Evil Dead" but just as much fun. Ash gets pummeled with glee from the deadites.

While the movie is better than 1, it didn’t impress me as much with the 4K here. I thought the first was much sharper and the colors were much better which is strange because you would think the opposite...

Classic film has only gotten better better thanks to wonderful 4K transfer. If you are a fan and have a 4K HDR set up this disk is a must have!
