One of my all time favorite movies. The cinematography is beautiful. You can catch hints of green shimmer on the armour. Gabriel Byrne plays an amazing barbarian. The fight scenes are perfect. Drags a lil as Perceval is searching for the Grail but still has a neat haunting tone to it.

There has been reviews made on this movie already. In short, it is one of a very few well done Excalibur legacy. Best buy offered it at 5 bucks and it is now part of my collection. It's value is worth way more than this and if you are able to get it at the same price then you are very lucky.

If ever there was a film that needs to be restored, it's this one. A true classic, one of my all-time favorites, and every line is quotable. Please Warner Bros., give this masterpiece the restoration it deserves. In its current form, it looks like a VHS copy.

I've always enjoyed this movie. The Soundtrack actually compliments the action on the screen. A much younger Helen Mirren was well cast for this Arthurian Legend as his sister who then goes about trying to damage Arthure's kingdom and upend the mentoring of Arthure's Wizard, Merlin. Overall, a well presented movie.

I have loved this movie since I was a kid and saw it on HBO. It is a classic and really well done. Besides what other movie do they play one song over and over again like they do "O Fortuna"?? I can't hear this song without thinking of this movie. I got this so my son could watch it with me too!

This film mesmerized me when I saw it at its original theatrical release and it still holds up after all these years. The best movie version of the Arthurian legend. The supporting cast list reads like a who's who of the best UK actors of the past 30 years.

I read Malory's book - and this movie follows much of the important parts. The characters were great - the settings and the score even better. I would change the Holy Grail scenes, though. Looked kind of cheap with bad special effects. Still - a superb film.

John Boorman's excellent re-telling of the Arthurian legend looked gorgeous on the big screen, but on Blu-ray, it still looks great. Some wonderful performances, notably by Helen Mirren and Nicol Williamson (who steals the show), it's definitely worth a look, even three decades later.

This is the classic retelling of the ancient story of the King of England, King Arthur. It contains a tragic love triangle between King Arthur, Sir Lancalot and Lady Genievere

This is a pretty good adaption of Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur. It's not complete or perfect, and can't be due to time, but is pretty well done. The sound isn't as good as it could have been, but it was 1981.

Takes me back to when I was in grade school reading the stories of King Arthur and his knights of the Round Table. Cool to see all these great actors in some of their earliest roles. And of course, the lovely Helen Mirren. (ssschwing!!)
