Make sure you have the correct port before you purchase. I love roku and have 2 roku TVs just don’t want to replace my old bedroom Smart TV yet. I will always recommend roku because it’s simple, inexpensive and does what it’s Exocet to do.

Did not work for me

It does not have the capability of connecting automatically with a button push on the router, like the Fire Stick does. The on line help instructions all said to restart the Roku and restart the router. That did nothing for the issue. The on line chat wanted to charge a dollar and required registering with a credit card. I was able to connect to my phone as a hotspot to update the softwire, but that did not help I was able to get a Fire Stick connected and set up. I am returning the Roku. Despite what I read about the Roku on line, it does require a free membership to use. In most cases, it will probably work for most users. I can not fairly rate the value or quality.

I’ve tried all the crazy suggestions listed on Roku’s site. This is thing is a piece of crap. Probably have at least 6 other Roku NON-4K units between 2 residences and none of them have this issue. And I’m NOT even using it with a 4K TV. STAY AWAY - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT. IF I HAVE TO CHROMECAST FROM MY COMPUTER TO MY TV,, I'LL JUST USE MY COMPUTER.
