I have been waiting for this movie to come out on blu ray for a very long time. Extreme Prejudice is my favorite Walter Hill film of all time. An underrated action flick. This is the movie that made me a fan. I have always admired how Walter Hill films action, especially gunplay. The man has a recognizable style that you never forget, something you don't see much these days in current films. The cast is great, with a script laced with memorable dialogue and banter between characters. To me, this Walter Hill at his rip roaring best. The combination of Jerry Goldsmith and Ry Cooder's music is a joy. I love it. Not a bad blu ray. I wish they 4K it. A decent picture, very natural looking. It is an old movie. The audio is absolutely dynamic. The sound effects from the weapons are incredible. If you have never seen this movie, you're missing out. Go out and get it. You won't be disappointed.

Nick Nolte stars as a rough and tough Texas Ranger who doesn't put up with nonsense in any way. Him and his partners are out to get the drug leaders who seem to be putting lots of that across the border. Wherever the trace leads, he will find you. The movie looks fairly decent here on Blu-ray from Vestron, but it is not stellar. It is an improvement over the DVD, if there was one out of this movie. Maria Conchita Alonso plays his gal pal and she has a nice shower scene. I have always liked her from the late '80s to the early '90s. I first saw her in Running Man with Arnold S. Find a good deal on this one from 1987. We get the Blu-ray/Digital Copy/Slipcover

Walter hills south of the border action drama flick from the good old reliable 1980s centers around Texas ranger nick Nolte and drug lord (powers booth) child hood friends now on opposite sides of the law and fighting for territory control. (Maria conchita Alonso) is the love interest between both men who will end differences in a battle royal worthy of the finale of “the wild bunch” with great cast including action veterans Michael ironside and Clancy brown great seeing vestron resurrect itself from its humble beginnings and bring back familiar titles that they’ve always been famous for. Great sights and sounds and extras.

This is an old classic modern times western by Walter Hill and I have been waiting for a Blu-ray widescreen release for a very long time and the wait paid off.The picture is clean and sharp with slight grain to keep that film appearance. The 2.0 audio track was clear and powerful,but not overwhelming. The sound of gunfire and bullets whizzing from side to side and front to back was the way i remembered from the theater. I watched on a 100 inch projector screen and I was watching it again in the movie house.

Great film with Nolte looking his best. Good character development in a western High Noon kind of film. The final shoot out reminds me of the Wild Bunch with fight scenes in slow mo. Plenty of action and good acting. Basically, about a group of undercover military mercenaries trying to get rid of a drug dealer but one decides to turn rogue and take money for himself.

One of the 80’s best action movie with a lots of good actors, young Nick Nolte and one of the best character actor Power Boothes, and just for good measure they throw in younger looking Maria Conchita Alonzo, who bare a little here..Michael Ironside, William Forsythe etc….can’t miss. Will recommend…..

The original copy I pre-ordered was delivered without the vest around slipcover I believe it was to fit it in the packaging better so I had to exchange it at the store for a proper copy otherwise it's a great release

Nick Nolte at his best great supporting performance by Powers Booth directed by Sam Hill who was phenomenal I am very glad that they brought this finally to Blu-ray an old '80s great pic

Arguably the most underrated and forgotten 80s action flick. Extreme Prejudice is one of Walter Hill's best films and features an all-star 80s cast. This is still my favorite Nick Nolte

Guilty Pleasure cheesy awesomeness 80’s action western with Nick Nolte doing his best Chuck Norris impression. Reminds me of Lone Wolf McQuade speaking of Norris. Looks the best it ever has here. Must watch.

This is a great 80's action movie great story line would recommend this for anyone who is a fan of vintage 1970's and 1980's action films

One of Nick Nolte best. Who can stand that Texas heat, must be something in the air. The gun fights are top notch. You hsve to love the irony, childhood best friends dueling for the girl and the territory.

A great classic that stood the test of time. This movie was made in 1987. I saw it then, and it was food. I bought this blue ray and saw it in my theater, and it was still good.

This movie has a little age on it, but a great one to watch. Plenty of action and gun battles to peak your interest. I definitely plan to watch it again.

Great action movie. Unfortunately it was released when Stallone and Arnold were dominating the box office and it’s a very different style. Very gritty and realistic.

Was surprised by how good this was. Looking forward to Imprint's boxset. Everyone should see STREETS OF FIRE.

Walter Hill is one of the most underrated directors. His movies are stylish and full of action, and Extreme Prejudice is fantastic!

I loved this movie when it came out at the theater glad it finally came out on Blu-ray maybe one day we will get a 4K release

At long last, I can replace that poor, many years' old, pan-and-scan DVD release of this film with a legit widescreen Blu-ray!

This movie was worth every penny I paid! I lost gem from the 80's rediscovered thanks to Lionsgate's Vestron Video series!
