Bought since fable II was actually pretty fun. This installment is lame. had to force myself to keep playing because takes forever to get to the action. Save your money.

    Better than Fable II

I was expecting a lot from this game. Fable II was lots of fun and they did manage to add quite a bit to this installment. I only wish the game was a bit longer and maybe more challenging. It is good for a few playthroughs and is pretty fun to use the online multilayer feature. All in all it had about the same graphics as Fable II, a pretty good soundtrack, a solid story, new features, and it was lots of fun. If you like fable give this game a try.

I have had Fable III for about 2 weeks, and I have "beat" it twice already. While some people are complaining about the length of the story, here's the deal.... The first time I beat it, I went through the story without doing side quests, buying real estate, ect. Doing that makes it very difficult to make certain choices toward the end of the game. The second time, I made sure to do the things I didn't do the first time. I did the side quests, I made pies to get enough gold to start buying real estate, I explored more of the world. This made the game much more enjoyable the second time around. I worked on the story as I did all of this, but only small chunks at a time. I wanted to buy up all the houses/businesses in Albion before continuing the story all the way through. It was more time consuming, but fun, and I was able to make the choices I truly wanted to make. So what am I saying? The people complaining the game is far too short probably didn't take the time to do those things. Yes, the game is a bit short, but, you can draw it out and make it more interesting. The developers want you to do the side quests, make money, start a family, and so on. Even after you complete the story, there are still a lot of quests to do and more world to discover. There are also keys to find and gnomes to destroy. Plus, we will have DLC's to look forward to. Another cool thing about the game are the characters. The NPC's are a bit "smarter" then they were before. Listen for the little side conversations the town people have, it's quite amusing. Also, your father figure, Sir Walter Beck, is a very likable character. They really did an excellent job in creating him. One of the things I don't like about the game is the fact you can use your spells and just destroy everything with little effort. You get the ability to use 2 gauntlets at the same time, so I was using a cyclone spell and fire spell, to create a fire tornado, basically. The ability to hold hands with people is pretty cool, but doesn't work most of the time. Meaning, you will still be "holding hands", but the other person will just be following you for the most part. Things like dyes now need to be purchased on the Road to Rule, and you have to spend Microsoft Points to get dye packs. I found that tacky. The biggest issue right now is the fact the game is so buggy. It lags, the quest trail will randomly disappear, mobs will bug out and interrupt quests, and my spouse is very hard to find most of the time, which sucks, because he always seems to have a gift for me and I can never find him! I really hope they release an update soon to address these issues. All in all, though, I would recommend this game. It's very entertaining, and can keep you busy for hours if you take the time to do things outside of the story.

Fable III is a great game, but falls short of what Fable II brought to the table. The weapons and leveling systems were simplified compared to the first two games. So the experience isn't as deep as before. The quests and what not are just like you remember them, maybe even a little repetitive. However, don't let this stop you from picking Fable III up and giving it a go, you will not regret it, you just might be disappointed if you've played the first two games.

Pro's: graphics are really good and the story line is pretty cool. There aren't too many confusing parts like there have been in the past and the game goes smoothly. Upgrading weapons is a fun idea they did. Con's:The game is super short. Beat it in one day. It is also very easy i think. If you die there is almost nothing done, you lose point towards your next currency item but you stand right back up and like five kills later you have all the points back. They got rid of hit points and the amount of mana or energy you have. You barely optimize your look and armor at all, not nearly as much as you could be for. almost nothing to customize this time around and it really is a downer. After the game ends you can get legendary weapons but they are fairly easy to get and there is no super weapon at the end for evil like the past. No titles at all. The worst is that you can't become like a super human like before. No getting stronger and more hit points and all that like you could before so after you beat the game there isnt a point to play like before when you could keep getting better. Overall it is missing almost everything that I loved about the earlier Fable games. It is a super fun game but don't expect to play a game like the old ones or you will be dissapointed. I think they moved in the wrong direction with this one.

I really enjoyed the game. Like most of those now a days, I feel it was too short, yet there are many more quests to go on even after "finishing" your main goal. Leveling up is a bit different, as are acquiring certain things. Takes sometime... not getting used to be accepting, since honestly, that did make it more challenging, so that was kind of nice while not nice. Getting in trouble, haha, muuuch harder to get out of rather than running an easy quest, but again, a challenge. Enjoy it! :3

This game is very entertaining. While, I didn't think it was much of a challenge, the story line was great and it was an entertaining game. The biggest think I did not like about the game was the graphics. There were a lot of little glitches in the game. They don't effect game play that much, but the fact that they exist is kind of pathetic and unprofessional.

The main quest is too short. I expected the main quest to last longer. It was a lot of fun, great story. I was happy to see that you could continue with the side quests after the main story. The game was a little on the easy side, but it was perfect for someone that doesn't have the time or patience to learn intricate moves. You can pull off some cool slow motion moves during battles. Slick inventory system.

This game will be one of my favorites of all times. I have played Fable II for over 400 hours and I still play it just for fun. So when I read about Fable III's release in October, I was ecstatic to learn that I would soon be able to return to the world of Albion. Now I have had a bit of an advantage and have had the wonderful pleasure of trying out this game at a couple different events. From what little I was able to play I was more then satisfied with some of the changes they have made. The combat system is a little more challenging but at the same time a lot more fun. The Dog is now a little more customizable and also seems to play a better role in the game. The new ways that you are able to customize your character almost seem to be limitless. You are now able to customize anything from your hair style to the color of your eyes. There seems to be a vast amount of different outfits that you can wear. They actually have an effect over your characters abilities and combat. Whereas in Fable II they only made your characters appeal higher or lower and only aided in people being more friendly or more afraid of you. The spells work far more streamline and are a bit more practical versus Fable II's slightly bulky and awkward spell system. All around this game is going to be a big improvement to what was already an incredible game. I am excited to see what the finished product will be like and can only imagine that it will be an even greater experience than Fable II. (Also a bit of a side note.) I have read and heard that Fable III will be one of the first Triple A title to be released that will be 100% compatible with Kinect. Which I can only imagine will make the game that much more fun to play.

The first review here is wrong. This game is not about making a family because a family will most likely be optional like the last game. This game is about the defeat of a tyrant and your character becoming the new king about midway through the story. Moral choices must be make by the new king (you) that will affect Albion and a new land called Aurora. Lionhead Studios has 2 videos talking about the game and from what they say and the footage they show i would say the game looks just as good if not better than Fable 2.

    Best Fable Yet

Just about every issue I had with Fable 2 has been fixed in Fable 3. Interacting with game characters and the removal of the clunky menu system from Fable 2 has really streamlined the Fable Experience. Taking the time to complete some of the games side quests can extend game play quite a bit, and the number of choices you can make in the game adds to the re-playability. If you enjoyed either of the other Fable games you will enjoy this.

How there can even be reviews on here before people have played the game is beyond my comprehension, but I'm just going to throw my two cents in with the fact that both previous Fable games have been superb, and I believe this one will only continue the upward trend. Giving a game you hardly know anything about a negative review is childish, fair judgments can only be made after spending quality time with the product.

Alright so I have not acctually played the game yet but from what I seen this game looks better than fable 2 but not the original fable. The fact that you become the king of Albion is just amazing. The storyline sounds very entertaing though the game seems like it will be short like the other fables. Then again theres so much to do after you beat the game the short story really wont matter. Im a huge fable fan and have loved fable 1 and 2 and I think some of the reviews for Fable 2 and 3 have been harsh espcially when some of the people havent even played it and have given it harsh reviews. Overall im going to say Fable>Fable 3>Fable 2 From the looks of what ive seen. Fable 2 was a great game but I think Fable 3 will be even better and I cant wait to buy this game

After it took Best Buy 18 days to get this thing to me, I was disappointed to find that Fable will only allow me to play in third person view. The camera is such a bother when you have to keep readjusting to see anything. Quests and tasks are not tracked anywhere or defined as to what to do next. The golden path that is supposed to lead you disappears half the time. Views are good, sound tolerable. If they had modeled after Oblivion, this game would rock. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone who has problems remembering every task including where to go for each. Its missing information and huge gaps in next step game play. I wish I could play in First person and have a log of where i've been and where i need to go next to finish quests. Major disappointed in this game

I didn't play Fable 2 but I did play the first one. This was really different than what I was used to. The graphics aren't that great. The whole gameplay is a joke because the game would freeze or slow down while I'm running or attacking which creates frustration over how poorly the programming was done on this game. Gameplay is fast but I have not finished it because I'm just too angry about all the little defects and bugs in the game. Enhancing your weapon is a bore since you have to do stupid side missions like digging 25 times or killing a certain breed/race which takes time in searching in different places for. Overall, it was not worth it but I got it with my Xbox bundle. I'm going to sell it once I completely finish the game.
