I bought this to be able to communicate visually with my daughter and mother who both live out of state. It works great and the picture is very clear and sound works very good also. I only wish I could snap pictures and video with it. Since I can't I have used my phone to do so. I've bought 3 altogether and my two family members whom I bought them for love it also. It's nicer using it instead of my phone because it's bigger and you don't have to hold it while you're talking. The picture also moves around the room if the person is moving around. If mine were to break, I'd buy it again. I'd also buy the bigger one out of the models they have. I'd definately recommend this product.

I bought this portal so I could talk to my daughter and grandchildren that haven’t been able to see for 3 months. Not disappointed! Works great, very large screen so I can see them well, also love that can turn screen to see long or sideways. picture quality is great and love that I can have all my photos showing when not using, they also look great. Sound Quality also is very good, big speaker, woofer etc. music sound good can adjust bass to taste, And gets loud! Only thing wish had more of would be if alexa could do more and more choices of apps but overall i love it! Recommend.

I was very skeptical when I first purchased this item. I thought it would be no different then using Facetime or Tango, but I was wrong. The camera feature is amazing. It follows your every move. The clarity of the video makes me feel like I am right there with the person I am talking with. Lastly is the option to video chat with 6 people at one time. I love it because my family is spreadout across the U.S.A and now we can all video chat at once. Love the product.

This thing is awesome..sound is great..picture is great..the features like Alexa and the picture frame feature are some of the great things u can do. The big flaw I have noticed so far is the video calling . It seems like it struggles to know when to zoom in or out and when to add more people to center the focus on.. there was one video call that this thing was like obsessed with me and it followed me everywhere but my wife could never be included into the picture during video calls. The most recent use these past weekend had seemed to be a bit better but I hope it gets way better at recognizing and keeping people in focus

The FB portal is amazing. It makes my wife and I everyday communication needs easier to attain. I also love the fact that you can use it as a music device. The sound quality is astounding and the video tech is uncanny. My only issue with this device is you are limited on what apps are accessible on it. I would like to be able to use zoom on it along with some other apps. Other than that I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for communication to be made easy for themselves.

Absolutely love these portals. My daughter got us one a year ago because we have five grandchildren so this year we bought all of them one. It is so nice because you don’t have to hold it and the grand babies run all over showing us stuff and it just follows them we spend hours on this you can read them stories and the books put you in the pictures. It has funny faces and games it is the next best thing to being there. Thank You Facebook Portal.

I bought this for my mom who is 87 and not technical at all. I love it when it works. There are times when it just doesn’t respond with the voice command. I needed her to be able to just talk to it. When I’m there I have to turn it off and on for her to restart it. Otherwise it’s great! It’s clear and I love that it moves around. It makes it comforting to be able to see my mom and it’s big enough for her to see me. It has great abilities with many apps.

Pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to set up/use and how well it works. It's a shame that the BGM (Big Gov't Meetings) that I attended for decades (before retiring for good) didn't have nearly as good video/audio quality as this Portal Plus device. This is why private industry is much better at producing quality as opposed to the expensive never-really-good white elephants that the gov't produces.

Better than expected (family not me) when i bought it they all said "we don't need that" that was months ago, now that my son started college we use it nightly, facetime is fine, but this thing is huge and camera follows you around the room as you talk, glad i made this purchase, it's pricy, but not like electric scooter pricy (they all fail) this will be used for years to come.

We have used all the interactive software apps to keep in touch with our grandchildren when we do not see them in person. Portal is a game changer. The intelligent camera allows us to go from two people scrunched together so that our grandchildren can see both of us at the same time using the most popular audio-video personal apps, to showing them and they showing the entire room with Portal. Try it. You’ll love it.

Purchased for my 94-year-old father who is quarantined in an assisted living facility. His hands shake so it is perfect for him as it is voice activated. The large screen works well for him too. He is able to visit with family, listen to music, and ask Alexa questions. I am able to add and remove pictures remotely so he always has something new to look at.

Portal is great. I see and speak to my granddaughter on a daily basis. We have fun with filters, we read stories together. Portal has updates, as well, to expand and improve Portal. It becomes a digital photo screen, when not in use, so I enjoy pictures scrolling all day. I play games on it, as well, like Poker, and Sudoku. It plays music, and I can ask Alexa anything! This purchase has been amazing.

Looks very high end. Easy to set up. Picture clarity is amazing. Now I'm going to have to buy a new big screen to catch up. Amazing how the camera follows you around the room. I bought two. One for me, and one for my daughter who just had a baby yesterday. Can't wait to visit with baby Emma. I recommend the 15 inch to get the full screen. Love it.

My daughter and I live 5 hours away so it's hard to visit sometimes but with the portal it's like I'm not missing out on seeing my granddaughter grow. The picture is clear and great. It follows her while she's running around the room it's so easy to answer video calls and even play my music. Its light so I can place it in any room.

Amazing video calling experience. My family uses Facebook so we are in touch. It's good for photos posted on Facebook and then automatically on the device. I use it for work too, whit a zoom app and is great. Video calls and sound work great. Lacks most of the advanced Alexa features.

I bought it on a whim noting the capabilities of the device for facebook calls since its the way I communicate with my folks back home in the Philippines. The video and sound quality is great. If you connect it to your FB account, you can select the albums you’d want to show in the room. If you have an Alexa account, you can also use it here. Over-all, I like it but I feel that there’s room for improvement.:)

Wow!! This thing is so awesome. It tracks you as you move around the room so you don't have to sit in the same place. I have had this for over 4 months and use it regularly to video chat with my grandkids in Alaska and we have never once had a bad connection. I highly recommend it!!!

Video is probably the best I've seen for calls, the Portal uses a fisheye lens which makes the center of the video pop out - while the background (off center) is deemphasized optically - so with their centering algorithm to track your movement, along with the fisheye lens to pull you forward... the impression is a lot like being in the room with someone. For a FB product, it was startlingly good video... none of the tablet or phone calls even compare. I upgraded the Portal firmware recently (over WiFi), now it seems entirely compatible with the applications that are available - the shipped firmware from a year prior was buggy... some of the apps wouldn't respond to touch, now all of that is gone - everything works as expected. Since the virus restrictions - the WebEx, GoToMeeting, and Zoom apps work great (Skype still doesn't work, can't seem to access Portal video or microphone)... if anyone is interviewing for a job over video - I can't imagine for the price, that video quality gets much better than the Portal. :)

It’s a nice screen, that’s about it. Pros: screen is a nice size, clarity is fair, sound is fair, camera follow is cool but camera isn’t that good. Cons: Alexa is extremely limited, “hey portal” is crap! No on board weather, nothing for applications, can not Facebook live, no games, nothing really. It won’t even accept calls! Only calls out.

I purchased the portal to connect with my friends and family. I really like the quality and larger screen, so I purchased it. I have no regrets and use it daily not just for calls but also music, questions, and the Alexa appl. My favorite purchase in the last six months. Connecting with friends and family is worth it.
