I was a bit skeptical of buying this game because of my disinterest in Fallout : New Vegas. I was extremely wrong to be skeptical. This game is amazing, vast and deeply involved. New game mechanics and improved graphics are a huge plus. It's like Fallout 3 on Psychojet.

The Gold Bundle is a great bundle for the price. Woul dhave been nice if it came with a SteelBook case also but that's ok. Good packaging but need in mind the socks give the package a little bulge. Game and Season Pass code are there also. Good title also great engine and graphics too.

Pros:
-Open world rpg w/ freedom to play the game as you see fit.
-The gameplay/movement, especially while in first person, has been drastically improved from Fallout 3 (F3). Almost to a point where I rarely use v.a.t.s..
-V.A.T.S. Has been changed to provide more of a real-time strategy feel to using it, as opposed to the F3 version which completely stopped time in-game. This makes your decisions while using V.A.T.S. feel a lot more urgent.
-Dynamic weather and lighting! Doesn't sound like much on paper but it really does add a whole nother layer of immersion and variety to the game and it's environments.
-Crafting hasn't added all that many new unique strange junk part items/weapons to the game that weren't already in F3, BUT each and every weapon you find or buy in wasteland can be customized to fit any preference/play-style. Almost every aspect of a weapon can be customized from the fire-mode to stock and often times even the caliber of the gun.
-Crafting II. The second aspect of crafting in F4 is the ability to build your own settlements in certain areas of the world.. Think halo forge but in fallout. This is easily one of the most interesting features of the game imo. It adds a whole nother aspect to the game. Personally, I find myself getting wrapped up in building awesome fortresses and not even exploring or completing quests at times.
-Ability to leave the conversation dialogue between you and npcs at any time. Good for when you know you can't win certain speech challenges within dialogue.
Cons:
-There are still some occasional bugs in F4, but none that are honestly game-breaking. For instance some enemies will get caught on certain objects within the world or just simply stand with their nose in a corner randomly or get caught underground while burrowing (in the case of some radscorpions and possibly mole rats). These instances where the enemy essentially gets lost and doesn't attack you happens so rarely that when you see it you'll probably just laugh, as you proceed to blast their heads off from point blank range.
-Speech options in dialogue are somewhat simplified and limited when compared to F3. Those who like to hear the full story and conversation its a little disappointing. This also makes it hard to tell, at times, exactly what your character is about to say.
-Settlement Crafting/Buliding while a great feature, currently it can be a bit difficult to place objects exactly where you want them. For example when you go into workshop/buliding mode many objects have magnetic edges meaning if two like object (like walls or floors) are placed close enough to each other they will lock together. This can prove to be problematic and frustrating at times but there are work arounds in most instances. Secondly the workshop mode will not allow you to move/remove each and every little object within a settlement. For instance, certain shrubbery and structures found within particular settlement areas. Not too big of an issue but in some cases you just want some of the horribly decrepit structures completely gone, especially in smaller settlement areas.
Most of these minor crafting issues will probably be addressed and resolved in upcoming updates for the game... hopefully.
-Autosaves (this is more of a personal pet peeve but still might apply to you) before you fast travel are a thing but for some reason no Autosaves upon arrival to your fast travel destination. This can be annoying especially when your first staring the game and dying more than you'd like to admit. You might fast travel somewhere and immediately when you arrive there might be a firefight between rival faction; I personally will get distracted by it and join the fight and then if I proceed to die I will then be sent back to my last save which is before I fast traveled. So that means you'll get the loading screen for your last save then another one to fast travel back to where you wanted/needed to be. Another minor thing, even for me... It honestly wouldn't be a problem at all as long as you remember to save upon arrival after fast traveling.
There are more pros and interesting features that could be covered, but frankly if you aren't sold by the features I mentioned and if you watch some gameplay videos and still aren't interested then this probably isn't the game for you.
One other thing worth noting is the overall color scheme of the game; compared to F3 a lot more objects in F4 especially in the urban areas still have a bit of color to them as opposed to everything having varying washed out gray to green hue.
Lastly, I'm sure that when dlc packs come out and the game is updated a bit I could easily give Fallout 4 a full five star rating.

Fallout 4 is a great RPG with interesting characters and hours and hours of quests to complete. If you enjoyed Fallout 3 or New Vegas then getting this game is a no-brainer. The addition of weapon modifications and the ability to build settlements make this game even deeper than the previous ones in the series.
There are some graphical issues, lipsyncing issues, bugs, glitches...so far I haven't encountered anything game-breaking, but they can be annoying. These issues have come to be expected from huge Bethesda games, and while I don't want to make excuses for them, they are almost inevitable when making a game of this size without many extra years of development.
Additionally, this bundle includes a cool pair of socks with vault boy heads on them and the Fallout 4 season pass, which will unlock the planned downloadable expansions to the game in the future. With these additions to an already great game, the bundle is a great deal.

This game is amazing and tons of fun. Very deep crafting, loot, and economy systems. I'm about 40 hrs in and still having fun exploring the nooks and crannies of the world. Highly recommend that you buy this game, even at full price you'll get more than your money's worth.

If you liked Fallout 3, you'll like Fallout 4. Obviously, the visuals are improved, making use of the next-gen console technology. The combat system seems to have been streamlined a bit, but overall it's familiar. Using VATS to build up your Critical and getting to choose when to use it is an interesting twist. As you would expect, it's a totally open world with LOTS to do. I wasn't sure if I'd like the new settlement building feature, but it's pretty in-depth and entertaining -- provides a reason to collect all the junk you find lying around. I've see quite a few typical Bethesda bugs and glitches, but I've not run into anything that broke a quest, etc.

So far I've poured over 90 hours into this game, so needless to say I've enjoyed it.
That being said, if you were a long time fallout fan you might be hesitant to buy this iteration. It feels much more like an Elder Scrolls game that a classic fallout. The dialogue and storyline are very linear. You can make only a few choices to affect your story and your character can't be customized quite as much as previous games.
This may not be the best Fallout ever made but for me it is still a great game. The combat is fun and there's an incredible amount to explore and missions to complete. I can myself doubling my time easily.

Title says it all. If you like Bethesda games, you will like be fallout 4. I think they really nailed the shooting aspects in this game and have also added voice acting for the main character. People state they have dumbed down the rog aspects of the game, but I would have to disagree. While the leveling up system has been simplified, the game I think improves on customization of weapons and armor. In addition you can also build your own towns!!! This package also comes with socks which are not very thick, but they are neat to wear. Overall very happy with the purchase... Especially with the 20% off using games unlocked!

Best buy did it again, this excellent bundle coupled with the Gamers Club bonus points and discount, season pass included, and pretty neat socks is great!
The game itself lived it to all the hype, definitely recommended, I'm 18 hours of gameplay in, and many more to go!

We're fans of the franchise. I pre-ordered the game from Best Buy becaus they had the best deals & promo items available. As for the game itself, it did not disappoint. Neither of us have finished the main story line yet but we've taken different directions in our game experience. My husband has maxed out most of his settlements- he's invested his gameplay in building the strongest defense and happiest settlers while I'm spending my time exploring backstories and side quests. We both enjoy the changes they've made and so far feels true to the Fallout universe.

This game is amazing! If you aren't looking for any multiplayer then I would highly recommend this game. The gunplay is much better than previous games and it is pretty nice to be able to build new settlements. I haven't run into many big bugs but every now and then there is a minor one (like a floating arm). The gold bundle is even better because it comes with the season pass. There are no DLC out yet but, based on past experience with Bethesda, they will probably be great.

This review is only for the game and not the bundle. Seeing how no dlc is out yet and I gave the socks to my wife I cannot comment on those. The game itself though is excellent. I have over 2 days in game time played and have only gotten through less than a third of the main campaign. Gameplay is quite superb. I have not found any issues I had with the gameplay I can complain about. I know people have spoken of bugs and gameplay issues but in my time of play I haven't encountered any. I know graphically some have complained it could be better. While it does look better than FO3 and FO:NV it isn't like games such as Star Wars: Battlefront and Far Cry: Primal. Still though the wasteland does look beautiful and if you take the time you can notice a lot of great detail in the game world. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the whole settlements aspect of the game. I've tried to make a few and found it is just rather annoying. Thankfully you aren't required to mess with them too much. The sound is also another great aspect along with some decent voice acting. If you keep visiting the same vendors over and over some of their phrases can get a bit repetitive. The last thing I have to mention is the fps gun play. I think of all the Bethesda made Fallouts this is the best. I find myself far less reliant on V.A.T.S. this time around. I usually only use it when I am a bit overwhelmed enemy wise. All in all though this is a solid game with endless amounts of stuff it seems that will keep you wondering the Wastes.

This installment of Fallout continues the success of the post-apocalyptic epic game. This time set in Boston, Mass aka "Commenwealth" your fallout shelter survivor seeks to locate his kidnapped son. Help the different factions within the wastleland, collect items and weapons, and battle various baddies and mutants. Spend 100s of hours exploring the furthest corners of this section of devastated New England.

First of all let me say that Fallout 4 is a whole lot of fun to play. The world is awesome to explore, the controls are excellent and the graphics, while not on par with some new-gen games, are still good. The only problem at this point (and why I gave it only 4 stars) are the bugs and glitches in the game, some of which are "game breaking." For example, In an earlier segment of the game, if you destroy all the enemies in a town before meeting a certain character, you are unable to complete the mission you are on, and cannot go any further in the game. Hopefully, these bugs will be addressed in future patches. However, I still recommend this game to any action/adventure/RPG fan.

As a fan of the Fallout series and Bethesda, I can confidently say this is another amazing game done by the creators of Skyrim and Fallout 3. I love every aspect of this game! I'm still finding stuff to do after completing the main story and puting over 50 hrs into playing. Get this game! This is even a better deal to get the season pass included plus some neat, novelty socks!

Great game full of adventure! 4/5 stars. The reason I gave 4 stars is that the camera angles are hard to work with when using the fortress creator. Other than that, well worth my money!

Enjoyable next phase of the Fallout world. Enjoy the variation in how to play and a core story line to pursue. Played all Falllouts including the old day related forerunner Wasteland. Only downfall is that the language used by raiders makes it a little rough to play with family in the house. Really no need for flying F bombs in this game to make it enjoyable.

I'll start be saying I've played Fallout 3 and all of its expansions on the Xbox 360, along with Fallout New Vegas. I thought Fallout 4 looked better, but similar to Fallout 3. It not surprisingly, plays very similar except there's even more you can do. This game is huge and there is so much you can do. Any fan of Fallout 3 should pick up this game.

I knew I wanted this bundle. With my gamer discount it was only $72 for the game, dlc card, and socks. I was extremely excited. With a delay in shipping I went in store and they sold me a copy and refunded my other. The bundle had then decreased to only $47. Best deal of my life. Extremely satisfied. Oh and I love the socks.
