Customers consistently note the extensive gameplay and large map as significant strengths of Fallout 76 Tricentennial Edition, with many praising the opportunities for exploration in the open world and online play. However, a recurring concern revolves around the presence of technical issues, including bugs and occasional crashes affecting server stability. Some players also express disappointment with the game's narrative, finding it lacking in comparison to previous installments. The overall experience appears to be a mixed bag, with substantial playtime balanced against technical shortcomings and narrative weaknesses.

This is a fun game but still unfinished and full of glitches. It is pretty much still in development and is prone to game play problems.

I feel sorry for any fan of Fallout like myself who bought this. The game has really no story to speak of unlike past Fallout games and the graphics look like a early PS3 game. It also is full of bugs, glitches, and the server crashes constantly kicking you out of the game. I wouldn't pay more than $10 for this game. Avoid it.

This game has to be one of the best let down I have had since I have played all of the fallouts. The one thing that I have always loved about fallout is the great in depth story line that it runs with but with this game it is pure garbage. I think That due to its a one course way with no options how to get to the end. The lack of npcs I this game made it worse than vanilla games and just very bland. I do like the idea of playing with other players but it would be nice to be able to go through a nice story mode instead of an open world mode and basically a new version of fort ore/pubg which not everyone likes those trash games. I just wish the next fallout has some sort of hope for the actual rpg that we all love and now miss very much

This isn't Bethesda's best effort. It's janky, on PS4 Pro it's crashed on me on 3 separate occasions. The open wasteland of West Virginia is beautiful, vast but very lonely.
The game has no human NPCs seeing as the only human characters are others players in the same instance. I'd recommend to wait on this game until Bethesda pumps out more content for it. As it stands, West Virginia is pretty barren.

My husband is a huge Fallout fan but he is frustrated with the current glitches. Since it's all online, you can literally have your stuff destroyed from anyone with no safe place. I hope they make an update soon to patch things up and improve other issues as well. Otherwise, it's a great game.

Fun game, if the bugs would get worked out. (Bethesda's fault not bestbuy's)

This is a great game. Sure it has some bugs here and there but its not game breaking. Playing solo is fun, but it is a lot funner with friends. Buying this game from Best Buy was really helpful, the delivery was on time and the steelbook was a big plus too!

I know some people seem upset but ive been really enjoying this game. Yes it can be buggy and have its issues but ALL online games start this way. This game is pretty much exactly how they described it. As time goes on it will continue to improve.

This game was released too early. Its has a lot of glitches and needs work. I'm tired of spending hard earned money for unfinished products. I'm sure they will fix it "eventually"
It's still a fun game to play so I won't go lower than 4 stars.

I got the game home, installed to my external drive and first things first, an update of 96GB. Okay...MANY hours later, install patch. Within 48 hours, another patch of nearly the same size. Sheesh, Bethesda. First you let Fallout 4 support wither and die when your game starts seizing and crashing for no apparent reasons and you won't address the issue because 76 is about to release...but I digress. So far, the play has been smooth on my PS4 Pro, no crashing as its predecessor on the Pro and having your crew online helps make the adventure more fun. Solo play is still great and meeting NON computerized players is pretty cool. Get your crew armed and happy hunting!

I will place a disclaimer up front. I am only recommending this to a friend as my son and his friends really like this game. I however felt disappointed. The major disappointment is the almost 60GB of patches that you have to install before you play. That is ridiculous for a game that is supposed to be ready for a launch. In addition, I have been booted off servers despite Bethesda's claims. The game itself, could be good, but it misses the boat. I think the quote "It is a beautiful, dead world" sums up the game. It looks nice and plays well as any other Fallout game. However, the lack of NPCs makes the game very desolate. sure you can interact with other players, but i have found that it is only okay if you join with random strangers as opposed to a normal gaming group. The map is large and there are a lot of different things to do, but the lack of people really makes the game feel hollow

I love fallout, but so many glitches in this game. I totally was beating a boss character and the game disconnects, glitches and I lost my inventory/loot from my progression. I really want a refund, but we know that’s not happening. I just stopped playing after this.

a huge dissapointment. i love fallout 4, and thought this would be like it, alltho the tiny bit of story line and quests stay true to FO lore, and game play mechanics, it was an overall dissapointment as it is all about online group play, and i am a soloist, but still totally worth at least one play through.

Got the game on the first day of release, and wish I would have waited. This games has had several massive updates, and it STIL buggy. Then I find out that they reduced the price right after release. It’s frustrating to be logged out in the middle of a battle, but it IS Fallout, so I’m planning on completing it

Although online the game is a lot of fun. It does have its bugs, but Bethesda is working on fixing those issues. Graphics are improved, and the gameplay is like playing older Fallouts. Now if only there was an offline mode.

What I thought would be something different is really just the same old thing. Tons of bugs in this game. Needing some major updates. The online option to team up and build a camp seems ok but the reality is most play on their own and this world is just too depressing to want to keep going.

Not happy that this is online. Despite "rules" and "honor codes" I have wound up being attacked by online heathens!
I much preferred the previous version. Still some kinks that need to get worked out, but it's brand new and I'm sure updates will be coming.
Still a good game, just lacking.

This is the first attempt from Bethesda to take the Fallout world online. There are not a lot of real changes from Fallout 4 when it comes to the graphics and overall game play. The lack of NPC's is a disappointment, but it is fun to play with friends. I have had the most fun by gathering up the 3 TV's in the house and having a few friends over with their PS4's and playing that way. Like the LAN parties back in the day. We tried 4 players, but the home internet connection could not handle it. Anyhoot, I think Fallout 76 is a good gaming experience overall. I feel that it is a good way to tide one over, until the next single player Fallout game comes out. Probably some time in the real 2076.

So there are some frustrating glitches in this game but once you get past them, this is lots of fun to play. Still a must have for your collection.
