First time playing a game from the fallout franchise. I found the game entertaining, but kinda difficult to figure out some aspects of the game and get use to all the complex parts of the game

If you enjoyed the gameplay of Fallout 3, then you should be able to enjoy Fallout New Vegas. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, FO: NV is an enjoyable game when playable. Amazing music, fantastic weapons, and improved dialogue. Like with every Bethesda Game, there are a few bugs here and there. Sadly, there is hardly any support of the PS3 Version of the Game, which is really a shame. However, the Game will typically freeze if played constantly. Don't worry, just save often and you will be fine. And have a lot of patience.

First off, I have never been an rpg player. Truth be told I have always hated the setup up of them and never been able to concentrate long enough. A friend of mine told me about fallout 3 and new vegas so I finally decided to get them. This game is amazing! The storyline is awesome, the graphics/detail are outstanding for how much content is involved. Then again, you can always assume any game put out through Bethesda is going to be top notch. More important is the smooth progression of the game. Right when you things about to slow down or repeat, they throw something new at you. *FYI, the dlc content is no longer on PSN, so if you want them go with the ultimate edition. Long story short, I last maybe two or three hours with most rpg games. For fallout new vegas, I have invested 70+ hours worth of my time into this game with no sign of stopping. Enough said.

There is so much to do in this game. You can literally take days to do everything that there is to do. It looks great and play very well. There is enough stuff to look at and to do, it will keep you busy for a very long time.

Fallout New Vegas is a fun game. If you played Fallout 3 you will know what to expect. They improved the shooting but, they didn't fix the load times and so so graphics. I would still say it's worth a purchase.

From makers of Oblivion and Skyrim with similiar game mechanics set in the post apocalytic future. Starts of quicker than Fall-out 3.

Fallout New Vegas follows the same gameplay as Fallout 3 but with an impressive switch to a new setting. Some things are familiar, others are nice surprises like cool new perks. I love open worlds and appreciate when designers stretch their imagination and open up every corner for me to explore, pick up unique weapons and run into additional quests. The game isn't necessarily challenging, but whether you're fighting or exploring, it's just plain fun.

    An extension of Fallout 3...

New Vegas is without a doubt a large expansion pack from the last game. The look, feel and graphics are the same, which is perfect for the story line, but the engine that runs the game is in need of an overhaul. The choppy play and locking are still a part of the game and unfortunately seem to actually be a lot worse at times than it was before. My favorite part of playing this game is the ability to replay the game as a saint, neutral or evil character and the in game feel changes as well, so technically those hundreds of hours can easily turn into thousands with a few replays. Even with the occasional locking issues, I still highly recommend the game, especially with the number of locations and missions almost tripling in size. I am however willing to wait for 5 years if need be while they fix the playability issues before releasing another one...

I got addicted to the fallout series with fallout 3. This game is very similar which is fine for the most part. I still haven't made it to vegas yet but I am now at McCarren airfield which is almost walking distance from it. Vegas sounds like it is going to change the game for the most part. Can't wait to kick some butt at BJ and slots. I have almost 4000 caps saved up just for this/ Cons: Lot's of bugs throughout game. Gets very laggy when walking through desert and sometimes get stuck in awkward spots when inside of buildings. Game has frozen up once on me but I'm wasn't sure if it's my PS3 acting up or if it's the game (I have an original 60 gb upgraded to 320 gb). I usually save it once I sense a little bit of lag just to be on the safe side. Hints: Collect star caps (even if you have to buy them) Keep Raul the Ghoul around as a bodyguard (offers an extra 250 carrying weight plus very good shot with a .44 magnum and voiced by Danny Trejo) For anybody that is complaining about having to walk all the time, just go to world map and have it teleport you to the location if you have already visited it, or to a nearby location you have already visited. Save before talking to someone to complete a mission. Sometimes you can get more money if your speech is high enough. Just run it through once and see if you get an option for speech. If you do but don't have enough points, just reload from when you saved and come back when you do. Magazines help alot in situations like this. I got an extra 600 caps from a mission to Vault 22 for doing this.
