The add-ons are good. It's my Go To game when I've finished playing another one.

The graphics are excellent and the game map is massive. The gameplay is challenging, but fair. You can make consistent progress even if you are a beginner. But, having a companion will save you many times. The story is interesting, but all the side quests make this game great. One could immerse themselves for over 150 hours if so inclined. Another great thing is you have a number of ways to play the game. You can be a saint or the ultimate sinner. There are benefits of both, but you pretty much have to anger some faction on the way. The expansions are lots of fun and a great way to obtain money (caps) or weapons. (Sierra Madre may be difficult if you do not have a game guide). There are weapons to suit all styles of play and lots of modifications. The dialogue options are well written and humorous. The voice acting is stellar. Use the light on your Pip-Boy and thoroughly search rooms once you have killed everyone. There are lots of valuable things to find in low-lit corners. Trust me, doing so will prevent a second trip. Bethesda has made great games over the years, but their more recent games seem to freeze up a lot. For example; Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion froze up only twice, Fallout 3 was good until the expansions, then it froze up about 30 times, Fallout New Vegas froze over 75 times, and this version was good until level 13, then froze up about 25 times. Once thing that is a bit different is the game slows to the point it nearly freezes. After you repeatedly press start you can save progress, remove the disc or quit, and restart the game. Time does not improve the gameplay, no way to push through it. A total freeze up is awful, but at least most of the time there is an option to save before the inconvenience of a restart. Plan on saving every 10 to 15 minutes, or get furstrated. And that is why I am unable to rate this game 5 out of 5.

This game was average at best. Easy to beat and honestly, the graphics could've been much better.

The DLC makes this game unplayable once you progress though the game. The lag is unbearable. Such a shame that one of the best games ever made has to suffer through this.
Get it on PC. Mods make this already legendary game infinitely better.

The Best New Vegas Experience

First off, this game is great for anyone who has already played New Vegas, and wants to start a new game; or anyone looking to play for the first time.
If you have a previously saved game, load it up, and the DLC's will pop up as radio signals.
If you don't, start a new game, and it'll do the same.
This is the same great game, plus 4 DLC's, and some weapon add ons, which are awesome, because you get some sick weapons at the start of the game.
The story is still awesome, with plenty of side missions to keep you occupied for quite some time.
The graphics and sound are great for such a big game, and the loading screens are interesting, and not boring at all, which is a great feature.
There's loads of NPC's and things to loot, so keep an eye out.
Overall, this is the best experience for a newcomer to New Vegas, or a returning player, and I strongly recommend it.

I love the Fallout series. I was a little disappointed in New Vegas as I was not as entertained as Fallout 3, but it was still fun to play and still worth the investment. The game is set int he southwest after Fallout 3 takes place and there is some new "functionality" was that added. It was fun to play and the additional DLC was worth every penny. The new "functionality" was not included in Fallout 4 so I'm glad that I wasn't the only one that felt the same way. I would recommend this to anyone and if you are a fan of the series, you wont be disappointed.

I purchased this game long ago, but man I love it. Open world, so many things that go on, so many things to do. It's a world after WW3.. When life as we know it is no more..

Great, But Flawed Game

I really like this game. There are moral choices, multiple endings, interesting quests, colorful characters, mini games—slots, 21, roulette, Caravan— lots of exploration and tons of unique weapons and items. It’s challenging and entertaining. I especially enjoyed the Dead Money DLC, I know lots of people really don’t like it, and I feel because it involves strategy, stealth and survival. You can’t just run and gun.
That being said, this version still has some of the same warts that I encountered with the regular copy. After about 100 hrs in the ultimate edition I only had 3 hard freezes, some odd glitches, clipping, soft freezing, enemies getting stuck in the map (mainly scorpions), and numerous frame-rate issues. This was the biggest problem, the fame-rate, it was a minor issue for me with the regular copy (biggest problem with that version was hard freezes), but in this edition it happens a lot. It’s almost random. Sometimes it would happen when I’m alone in the wasteland, but it also happened frequently in areas with several NPCs moving around. When this happens I feel the best, maybe the only way to deal with this issue is to hit pause (it may take several seconds for the menu to come up), then quit the game. Then at the in-game menu, press the PS home button and completely quit, then restart the game. I would not recommend saving during a frame-rate drop. So you should save frequently while playing and keep multiple saves. Also explore the Fallout wiki for addition help and tips.
I don’t want to scare anyone off this game, but it does require patience to play, the bugs do make it really frustrating. It’s flawed, but I’ll still pick it up again, I tolerate the issues, because I really enjoy this adventure.
I really wish I could give this game 5 out 5, and I would if it wasn’t so buggy. It really does deserve it, I enjoyed this edition that much, but because of the issues I can only give it a 4 out of 5.

Fallout New Vegas is King!

I purchased Fallout: New Vegas for Xbox 360 on launch day. Eventually I purchased the GOTY edition for PC and enjoyed the community mods. Now I've purchased the PS3 version and I have to say, Fallout: New Vegas is one amazing game. Bethesda is one of my favorite game companies. They sure pulled through with these games. Time to gamble in a post-apocalyptic Vegas...Game-on!
