My 2 year old son received this train from his grandparents this year as one of his Christmas gifts. The quality of this is just not good and what is so disappointing is my son was so excited to see it go around and it hasn't...not once. It is the constant "ut-oh mama...choo choo?" when it pops off the tracks bc it literally cannot stay on the tracks!! Especially if the four of the cars are hooked together...forget it. I am SHOCKED by the price I am seeing they paid for this since the quality of the entire set is just.... simply not well made. I would expect MAYBE @ $20 for the whole thing. The wheels of the main/lead train car and the train cars that connect behind it are just never ever sitting right on those tracks. No matter how many times I have stopped it and reset them on the track, or how many diff ways we tried setting up the shape of the track. No matter what it truly seems like the train is made for a completely different set of tracks and not these at all!! We have had it open for 2 days and I am just not happy with the quality of the entire thing. This set won't last long at all and certainly not the years my in-laws had hoped when they purchased it... I have not allowed my son to manhandle it either, he just wants to sit and watch it go around once. He has been just setting it down on the hardwood floors and watching it go that way...My sister actually came over & my son was showing her it (bc luckily he doesn't care how well made it is he loves it) and she tried n tried to get it to work on the tracks and then finally yelled over to me asking where is the track for the train set he was showing her...bc she didn't believe that it was the track it came with bc it literally would not stay on them!! I know some train sets are very expensive and I realize maybe this was made to simply sit under the tree?? Guess we will just set it up on tracks under the tree and it won't move.
