A beautiful game, only wanting more...

Its a beautiful graphic game, with a great story, and music that picks up every time there is about to get some action. You can do anything you want in this open world, hunt animals, skin them, reach the top of mountains, find a glider and explore the island from the sky, or later jump from the glider or high cliff, and use your winged suit to soar long distances, then open your shute for a soft landing.... You can play Rambo style, or stealthy, even find your self a nice sniper riffle and take out an outpost from a distance... Best thing i love, get a flame thrower and let lose on the animals in the Jungle, the flames spread like wild fire, just like in real life, burning anything in its path, just listen to the screams if theres a few guys hunting you down... But yes to truly enjoy this game you need a good pc, I tried with my other older pc with a decent graphics card and it crashed after 30 to 60 mins, But this game is a must buy if you have a decent system, and like an open world game, with beautiful surroundings, and great game play. And of course when you save or leave the game it puts you in to the last check point / outpost or tower, not somewhere in the jungle you were just at.... I think its better that way anyways.... You can buy ammo, swap out your guns.... etc... This game is worth playing all the side missions and the story line just leaves you wanting more.....

    Foul language kills game experience

This might be a good game...but the first 5 minutes was so profanity-laced...I'll never know. I've purchased tons of games and this trend to making these games foul really stinks. I understand the many arguments that say that the gaming industry has so much blood and gore...what's wrong with a little foul language. But, IMO, the foul language is really getting out of control in some of these games. The foul language is not needed and detracts from the otherwise beautiful graphics and gameplay of some of these games. I believe that the gaming industry is setting themselves back as to this lack of discretion. C'mon where is the creativity?

Change of direction for the better

Glad Ubisoft designed this one the way they did. FC2 was not a good game, endlessly respawning enemies.. and could shoot through dense jungle cover like you were standing in a field. FC3 on the other had gives you the ability to hide out in the brush, take over camps, or just run around and cause havoc on the island. I was disappointed in the graphics, though. For the hit that it takes on a video card it doesn't look much better than the original Crysis, let alone 3. Still it's fun to play and the story is decent if not expected.

Had an absolute blast while playing this game. There is enough meat to keep you occupied for 30+ hours and the game play is challenging enough to keep you engaged.

Game crashes on PC. You have to hold the keyboard keys to get a response. The HUD will nag you to death and there is no way to turn it off. Driving vehicles with the keyboard is akward. Unable to use a controller and KB/Mouse at the same time. Characters and dialoge are juvenile. Expected a better game after all the hype.

I love playing first person shooters like battlefield. I have always found role playing games to be to long and boring. This game gives me the best of both worlds. A first person shooter and a role playing story. This is the best Christmas present that I have recieved in years.

A Downgrade from Far Cry & Far cry 2

Far Cry 3 has potential if big changes are made. The big irritation is you cannot save the game and return to the same place. When you complete the game and want to go back and start again its almost impossible. Finally you have to go through the UBI screen to get into your game. If you delete UBI you cannot play Far Cry 3.
