If you are a fan of the game play mechanics of the Far Cry series you will feel at home with it. It's a refreshing take on a franchise that has begun to feel stale. The recycled map from Far Cry 4 is a minus but the tweaks to the game play by using weapons from the primitive era of man keeps it fresh like the use of spears which I love use. My biggest gripe would be that Ubisoft did not stirred the formula enough to take it in a complete new direction. But it's still a solid game in which you can spend many hours. I recommend this to FPS fans looking for mechanics more focused in melee and primitive ranged weapons.

I enjoy open world games like what the Far Cry series has become. Also similar to Watchdogs, GTA, Mad Max, etc. Large map, lots of missions/tasks, finding collectables. Taming beasts is cool, though a bit easy. You can quickly tame almost all the beasts, and just use them to take out almost any enemy. I'll 100% it, and move on.

Tons of things things to do in this open world. If you are a fan of farcry you will understand what I mean when I say there's endless side quests to accomplish. The environment is new to the series (10,000 BC) and it's really neat to explore and meet new inhabitants. In terms of story, it's isn't the most engaging (fighting a rival tribe) but the exploration factor is enough for me to give it 5 stars.

The gameplay mechanics are very similar to Far Cry 4 but with no modern weapons which actually makes for a more challenging game. The game gets better as you make progress with more and upgraded weapons as missions and tasks are completed. I found the game to be a refreshing change to shooters. The graphics are good on both the PS4 and XBOX ONE but I prefer the PS4 version which has a slighter sharper picture quality and the controller makes for easier use of the functions.

Far Cry Primal is a case study in how a game's setting can drive its every layer, from the tone of its story, to the dangers of its world, to the brutality of its combat.There's a fine balance between tension and fun that elevates the whole experience.

This is another great Far Cry game. This game is all in subtitles because the creators made their own language up to "be more immersive". Just like the other Far Cry games it's all in first-person.

I have been playing the game a lot. Excellent graphics and awesome gameplay. Controlling the beats is the best. Brutal takedowns, awesome !!

Another great installment into the Far Cry Franchise. I love playing this game and actually enjoy playing it for hours. Lots to do in it.

Game brings a new feel to to the Far Cry series. Little upset that the map is basically the same layout as Far Cry 4, but really doesn't rake away from it.

Great graphics and refreshing setting. Not a huge jump from the tried and true Far Cry formula but definitely an interesting take on the series.

Far Cry Primal is a fun open world game with tons to do. While lacking a deep story the game is still hours and hours of enjoyment.

This is by far my favorite Far Cry game! Video games studios are always using the same stories, weapons and characters expect this time it's something totally new and breathtaking! It's amazing what happens when someone has a pretty unique idea. You really have to strategize playing this game, you just can't pray and spray with spears and knives at your disposal. Buy this game, it's great!

Being mostly used to 1st person shooters got into the Far Cry series with 4 and enjoyed it & decided to give it a chance. Primal is Far Cry just a completey different experience not going to lie but did miss the firearms though going. Back to the stone age with a club, spear, bow, throwing shards & various bombs also having a sabertooth by your side made it even more interesting conquering Oros

I would highly recommend this game. Lots of fun and much to do.

Overall this is another great Far Cry game. I know the developers spent a vast amount of time with the authenticity of this game and it shows. the only downfall of the dialect is that I did not feel as connected with the characters as the previous game. The overall value of this game is high especially if you enjoy completing the game 100%

If you've played far cry 3 or 4 you will feel right at home here. Similar gameplay mechanics but unique twist with the time period elements involved. The game encourages exploration and rewards progression of gear. Addictive simple to understand game elements add to the fun of running around and collecting things to further your progress.

An amazing spectacle. Absolutely beautiful game, they spent the time needed to make a gaming masterpiece. Has a similar feel, setup wise, to Far Cry 3 & 4, but is an experience all to itself. I can't stop playing!

You can tame and ride a sabertooth tiger in this game...if that alone doesn't entice you to play, than I don't know what else I can say that will. If you enjoyed the game mechanics and feedback loop from previous Far Cry games, you'll feel right at home in Far Cry Primal.

This Far Cry game is definitely different from Far Cry 4. Has Far Cry elements but is different in many ways. The hunting is pretty cool and you have to craft everything. It is a neat game but I feel Far Cry 4 was a better game.
