I have always heard about Fargo. I was looking in the movies and saw this steel book addition for a great price, so I bought it and I can say I was not disappointed! Action, drama, comedy! This film has it all!

Not the Shout Select release pictured. It is a Shout product but no special features. Was only $9.99 so not a big deal, picture quality, and sound options are good.

It's Fargo. It's awesome. Perfect mix of thriller, comedy, horror, and just great filmmaking. It’s dark in that Cohen Bros kind of way. A must own!!

One of the things I love about Best Buy is the great deals they do on DVDs and Blu-rays. Fargo is a brilliant film of course - a classic in fact. Like everyone else I stream many films and love the convenience of Netflix, Prime, Hulu etc. but I also have a very large DVD/Blu-ray library and like to have the actual disc itself (a bit like with vinyl I guess.) Saw this for a few bucks and snapped it up!

It was time to retire my old DVD to the wood chipper. This Blu-ray is a great transfer and just as enjoyable as seeing it in the theater back in the day. The Coen brothers just cannot fail when it comes to story and excellent script writing. The cast is wonderful and if you haven't seen this film you are missing out on some cold reality.

Joel and Ethan Cohen have written and directed a classic drama/dark comedy that will stand the test of time! Great script and the performance by all are great. The roles William H. Macy and Frances McDormand play are perfect. Steve Buscemi carries many of the scenes as the villain. This has a place in my permanent video library!

A dark story from the upper plains and the current most creative use of a wood chipper in film history.

This movie is a cult classic. I bought this to replace a DVD of the same movie. I like this movie and the BR looks better than regular DVDs. If you like Fargo and don't have a copy, or only a DVD, this is a great addition to your collection, especially for the price.

This movie had really good acting and a nice script. It’s worth seeing at least once. It’s disturbing to see how this plan spirals out of control. The blu Ray quality combined with an4k tv and it’s upscaling looked incredible.

An outstanding depiction of how mad, mixed up and murderous a banal backwater can be. Stupendous performances from Macy and McDormand, including excellent accents (though those people really from North Dakota might object). And though the Coens lied in calling this a "true story," it is filled with people you can'r believe are anything but real.

First off, this is one of the greatest films of all time! Even better is the great Steelbook! The quality of the film in the Blu-Ray is just the icing on the cake!

Not my favorite cover art, and the special features are heavily archived interviews. Still interesting to see, but they border on promotional rather than informational. If you want a bare bones copy, because the film itself really is all you need, this is a worthwhile purchase.

Fargo is a Coen brother masterpiece, and one of the best Midwestern American films ever made. The previous Blu Ray was fine and dandy, but I picked up this Shout Factory Steel on a whim and I was blown away.
First, the packaging. Not that impressed with the black/red color scheme, Fargo is a white movie to me. It is white inside however, so they were going for something different and it does look nice, no stars off there.
This version has a 30ish minute additional extra feature from the Charlie Rose show from release date, interviewing the brother directors and their female star. This is a great add as on camera appearances by the Coens are rare.
And last, but not least, the transfer. Let me just say the film looked amazing, totally broke my brain watching this beauty in motion. I didn't have a low opinion of the old disc, but after watching this it was that old cliche, "like watching it for the first time". Colors popped, motion was film like and gorgeous, and that cinematography glowed on screen. It was not "kinda funny lookin'"

Without giving away the plot, it is very entertaining. There is some (in my opinion) dark humor. Not suitable for children.
