I love that Fargo was remastered in 4K. I'm not so sure it was even necessary, but nonetheless it was made available, and I just had to buy it. The movie alone is worth the price, but when you add the fact that it was remastered in 4K, it makes the blu-ray disc worth so much more. It was such a great price (I believe under $5) as part of the Black Friday sale.

I wasn't going to buy the steelbook since I already own Fargo on bluray
But after seeing the steelbook, I decided to double dip, the artwork is amazing and the black case just makes standout even more!!!
It's truly worth buying even if you already own the movie and if you don't it's a must buy for one best noirs ever

This was my 2nd fargo Blu Ray purchase--this one was remastered and under 8 bucks.
What can I add? An absolute classic, on of Coen Brothers best, and one of my all time favorites. Who makes a movie that doesn't show the heroine for at least the first 30 minutes? These guys. Bold movie making and great characters all around.

One of the best films of 1996! Francis McDormand’s first Oscar win. Plot is very good and everytime you see someone eating in this film.. makes you really hungry! At least that’s the effect it had for me. Great film and great steelbook. Glad to have finally added it to my collection.

Not for kids - dark, eccentric movie.
Coen brothers' best digestible movie, director Ethan and producer-cowriter Joel, created this odd, off, strange, eccentric mix of black humor in this 1996 film. Kinda makes you wonder after 30 years with nothing else to show, they just got lucky or they were high.

Possibly the greatest Coen Brothers film on Bluray

A suitable improvement to the previous Blu-ray release at a great price point. Why would you not upgrade? Although my favorite Coen Brothers film remains The Big Lebowski (followed by The Man Who Wasn't There -- Which is not on Blu-ray in the U.S.!), I do believe that Fargo may be the Coen Brothers greatest work.

The first time I watched Fargo, I had no idea what it was about or what kind of movie it would be. I only knew that it was presumably set in the city of Fargo. And that's really the best way to experience it. So I won't say much more, except to get this movie, preferably on Blu-ray, and watch it.

This is a great coen bros film with some great humor and an engaging storyline that gets quite violent. The blu ray looks very nice and the sound is perfect. As for the special features they are quite limited in supply but i got this for the movie upgrade and it was worth it. I also love this cover art.

The perfect blend of the Coen's absurdist humor and their more nihilistic tendencies, coming together in the impossibly lovable Marge Gunderson. The film holds up with as much cinematic energy, comic pleasure, and gleeful quotability as it did upon first release. One of the all-time best.

Directed by the Coen brothers, Fargo is a compelling story that's well written and well acted. The picture quality is very nice- not in the way that it dazzles you, but in the way that it preserves the original film. This is how Fargo is supposed to look, and for the price, this is an excellent value.

Fargo has always been a Coen favorite for me - and after having purchased various previous versions, this is hands down the best the film has looked. This 4K scanned, Blu-Ray transfer has colors that pop against the gray/white snowy backdrop, and retains the original grain.
I love it!

I saw episode one of this series on an airplane. Unfortunately, it was almost the end of season one when I saw it. I was hooked and couldn't wait for this series to come out on DVD. I bought it the first day it came out and watch every episode within 3 days. I highly recommend this series.

Steelbook is very nice glossy finish. Comes with art on the inside. Huge fan of the show on FX. New steel coming out so no better time to watch what started this Fargo craze. It all makes sense now. Great movie for the year it was made. Get it on sale.

Great acting, great plot, great movie. The disc travels well in its case, you can bring it to the beach, park, mall, grocery store and you barely know its in your purse. Be careful, don't bring it to places that sell it while in your purse, they might think you stole it.

Are you fascinated by the recent FX television series, Fargo? See how it all began, in one of the Coen Brothers finest films. A sometimes painfully-funny black comedy, it remains one of the Coens' best films. Whatever praise you've heard about it is entirely justified.

I already had this dvd, and it was great. But when Best Buy had the Blu ray on sale, I had to get it. It is well worth the upgrade. It is a unique blend of comedy and horror, mixed with superb acting. I highly recommend this movie, especially if you've never seen it.

Yes, this film may be foul to somet. It also has a number of delightful comic moments. This film effectively combines some of the most dead-on (albeit affectionate) cultural satire of Scandinavian Americans in "Small Town U.S.A." with severe physical violence.

One of the best films of all time. Period. Probably the Coen brother's best screenplay to date and Frances McDormand's performance is nothing short of iconic. Macy, Buscemi and Stromare are equally as excellent as she in their own roles. A nice update for Blu-Ray.

Purportedly based on real life events. A car dealer's manager cons a deal for 2 thugs to kidnap his wife. It goes wrong, and they kill her. Watch the movie if you want more.
