Everyone that has a son should see this moving. Excellent cast members, so real story line. It took me to back to my childhood and help me understand a little bit better of my dad and my brothers relationship. Well put together.

Denzel Washington and Viola Davis do not disappoint in this fabulous, heart gripping story. Denzel Washington did an excellent job directing the movie also. The story holds your interest and has funny as well as sad parts.

You can not go wrong when an August Wilson play turned into a movie featuring Denzel and Viola! They are so great together. I saw the original play on Broadway years ago and am so glad to see it turned into an awesome movie!

The acting in this movie is top tier. Within the first 10 mins you realize that the scene hasn’t changed & it’s all dialogue, but the cast is really good at pulling you in. Everything pretty much takes place in the back yard & front yard.

This was by far one of Denzel Washington's best performances.This should have definitely won Best Picture, hands down. The level of acting in this movie was stupendous. I will definitely watch this over and over again.

This movie was amazing and the acting was the best that I've seen in a long long time. Denzel got robbed out of best actor as he was so good. The movie as a whole was one of the best movies that I have seen in years.

This is a very good movie adapted well for the screen based on the great play by August Wilson. Denzel Washington does a great job leading this awesome cast with his directing and strong performances from everyone.

Powerful performance from the entire cast. I usually just stream films but I wanted the physical copy. I feel a personal connection to the film, I read the play in high school. Phenomenal piece of literature.

The acting was outstanding. Denzel and Viola had you laughing and crying. After awhile you felt you knew these two characters personally. Quality of the DVD was clear and audible. I was glad I purchased it.

I was shopping for something else at Best Buy when I saw this. I enjoyed the film in the theatre, so on impulse I picked it up. An excellent film, with two wonderful performances (Washington and Davis)!

Watch this film and you will see why Viola Davis was a "shoe in" for the Oscar! If you are from Pittsburgh, this is a "must" for your collection. The extras will also interest you if you are from Pittsburgh

Fences is an amazing film that is relatable to diverse audiences. The challenges endured by a traditional family connect viewers in sympathy and empathy in the struggles of employment, family, and love.

Best movie I seen! Awesome story line, wonderful acting, believable characters. Saw the play in NYC and been praying it would come to Bluray, well my prayers were answered!! Couldn't be more satisfied!!

The performance by Denzel Washington and Viola Davis was superb. Structure, struggles, ambition, aspiration, family devotion & wanting a child to succeed in life was my concept after watching this film.

This movie really touched my heart because it had so much to which I could relate--the era, the people, the real life circumstances, painful situations and hurts that only true, deep love could heal!

I loved this movie and was entertained for the entirety of the 2+ hours of talking that it was. I wanted it to win Best Picture at the Oscars, but the nomination was still very nice. Buy this movie.

I don't think I have seen a movie that Denzel Washington is in that was bad in terms of acting. He even directed this one which is great. I'm glad Viola Davis won the oscar for this role. Very good.

Great story of a man and his family set in the 1950's in the mid west. This compelling story keeps you involved and interested from beginning to end. Very dramatic performances from the whole cast.
