Customers find value in FIFA 17's impressive graphics and excellent gameplay, frequently praising the game's realism and ease of use. However, some users expressed challenges with the changes made to free kicks and penalties, and a few noted areas for improvement in shooting mechanics and stadium variety. The "Journey Mode," while appreciated, received feedback suggesting potential improvements to length and predictability.

I read reviews online before purchasing, and waited until it was on sale to purchase. I'm glad to see the game play hasn't gotten drastically harder. It was a big jump from 15 to 16, that took me a while to get a hold on.
This edition the game play is harder, you can't get around a defender as easily as you used to, your dribble timing has to be on. They have made corner kicks and penalties more difficult to get right. I was able to get a handle on corners after a few tries. Penalties are more difficult still. The graphics are amazing, very realistic, for those known players, who they took the time to get right.
The only thing that annoys me about game play is when you are driving toward the box, about to shoot or something, your own teammate will run across you, or not jump out the way, when you make the shot. Resulting in you getting blocked by your own player or getting an offsides call. They still haven't fixed this. Good game.

This is my first FIFA game and it didn't disappoint. The graphics are pretty good and a beginner, like myself, can get by with knowing the basic controls.

New Frostbite engine makes game feel real. Graphics are crystal clear. The atmosphere in the stadiums add to the realism. A good game made even better.

This is the official soccer game. PES is close, and in game play might be slightly better. But in graphics, stadium and ultimate team FIFA is better.

I tried the story line feature and it was actually pretty fun to play this mode. One complain I have is the sensitivity of the Penalty feature. It should not be so difficult to score the penalty. Why change from what they had before? One more thing; the training does not translate into the game mode...it should not be any difference between these two modes, but there is. It makes it frustrating because the CPU basically takes over and creates mistakes that you know you've done 100 times before without mistakes. The big teams can lose too!

This game is nothing but unique. I was both satisfied and dissatisfied with this game. The improvements from this game I thought was the passing. Passing was impressive and makes me feel I'm watching an actual game. The graphics are actually a bit better in terms of gameplay. Ok now for the bad news. 1.SHOOTING! Big disappointment!!!!!! OMG it's terrible. All my shots are low and now inaccurate. The long shots are nice tho but shooting is a letdown. 2.FC Barcelona. This whole exclusive rights to a team with fifa and pes is getting out of control. Fifa will always be a favorite outside of Japan. They need to stop this and let both games liscense everything. Fifa needs to bring Camp Nou back because if not I might stop buying fifa. Also, the club news was really nice they should bring it back. And please try to add more international clubs and leagues. That can boost fifa sales

I am an avid fifa fan and i have been purchasing them ever since fifa 12. This has to be one of my favorite versions.
The introduction of the journey was amazing. I was fully captivated by Alex Hunter and his quest to become a first team regular. I look forward to further improvements in the coming fifas.
They have done some minor improvements in career mode as well. Gameplay has been improved.
The new frostwire engine really pulls through and the graphics are just amazing. I would definitely recommend this game to soccer fans.

So here's the thing, I love soccer (football) and have been an avid Fifa player since 2006. Every year EA always does the ol' "look at what we are offering that's new and improved" but in reality its not really that much. This year Fifa added a much needed single player story based mode titled "The Journey". This is in fact extremely awesome and i enjoyed every second although to some it may get a little lengthy at times. Putting some meaning behind each game and giving you the feeling that you are indeed an up and coming star cannot compare to starting the basic franchise. The acting was great and the story is making me ready for next year. Aside from that you are getting what you would expect out of a Fifa game. Updated rosters with tweaks here and there to improve on an already amazing football game. If you are new to the game "The Journey" gives it some appeal.

This fifa the passing actually works 90%, there are some moments where the passes are misplaced, but unlike last fifa most passes are smooth.
Pace matters again, the faster the player the better. Graphics have improved aswell. Otherwise game is same.

I had to decide between FIFA 17 and PES 2017 for my soccer fix. I purchased previous FIFA games, but lately it seems that they have been focusing more in the FUD features. I have heard nothing but praise for the new PES 2017, and I was really tempted. I played both demos, and even enjoyed the gameplay of PES more, yet FIFA still won in terms of licenses, stadium atmosphere, and the gameplay is still acceptable. Graphics for both are great, I like the convenience of not going through the trouble of finding roster files, unlike PES. I admit that I don't really play online much, so I wonder if I made the right choice since I hear PES is more single player centric. But either way, both games are good, so I am happy with FIFA this year. EA will have to step up their game next year if they don't want PES eating into their share of the revenue.

I have been a FIFA fan for a number of years. I wasn't impressed with last year's version, and found the gameplay frustrating and inconsistent. This year's version seems like an improvement, even though I believe the gameplay in PES 2017 is better. But I love the stadium atmosphere and licenses of Fifa, and I also enjoy the wear on the pitch and jerseys. The Journey storyline is my favorite, and it really merges together sports with an RPG style. The only issue is that it doesn't extend beyond 1 season. Still it is a good start that could lead to something better in the future.
While I do recommend this game, I'm starting to think that EA focuses too much on the FUT features, which is why I believe PES was able to step of there game. For future releases, EA need to get the fundamentals back on track and not become complacent.
