    A Fantastic Return to Ivalice

FFXII:TZA is a phenomenal remaster of an epic made better with the tweaks and additions on the PS4. The game looks phenomenal with upgraded textures; locales and faces were really cleaned up. A newly remastered soundtrack comes with the LE version (but you can choose to play with the original), as well as the steelbook case (which IMO, is one of the nicest ones ever done). Overall, at the MSRP of $39.99 and even less for GCU members, this game is a Must Buy for any JRPG and FF fans.

For those of you who have played this game you know what you're getting. Same game with updated visuals and soundtrack. However this does change the license board up a bit to have more distinct job classes. This appears to be a good thing which involves more strategy at selecting classes and which characters you want in your party. While this is not one of my top fav final fantasys it is still a good game and worthy of playing again. The world is fun to explore (not quite like ffxv) and the battle system is passable. The best feature is the gambits which allow you to customize what the cpu characters do by setting parameters on their actions. I wish this system would have Carried over to ffxv but oh well. A good way to throw away a couple hundred hours on a decade old game.

FFXII definitely has the nostalgia factor and has held up very well in the years. The graphics are everything that I've wanted from the ps2 version. The zodiac system is an improvement and makes you think carefully how to choose them for each character. It's a great game because it has the feel for the old and new style of combat for whichever FF fans are used to. Cons: Selling loot is a pain when you're trying to make money

I love this game. I played it on my PS2 and it's so much more beautiful now on the PS4. I love that I can spend as much time wandering around as I want.

The new job system adds an extra challenge that the game needed. Limiting what the characters can do makes you appreciate them more. The speed mode is also a great feature. And you can definitely noticed the upgraded graphics. I got lucky picking up the last Steel-book edition, very appealing to the eyes. Playing this game brings back memories from 10 years ago. Great buy!

I have played the original FFXII when it came out on the PS2. This HD remaster fixed alot of things that were in the original and also added many new things. A job system, trial mode, ability to fast forward in the game, etc makes this new release the best and definitive version of FFXII. If you love Japanese RPGs and is a fan of Square Enix, I definitely recommend this.

If you enjoyed Final Fantasy 12 when it came out, and want to play it on a current gen system, you will enjoy this remaster. The game looks very sharp on a PS4 and controls smoothly. Final Fantasy 12 is a unique entry in the series in several respects. Some aspects may be polarizing, but I really enjoy the different combat system and epic story.

FF12 was ahead of its time when it first came out - this remaster not only brings its graphics and sound up to date, but includes the content from the International Zodiac Job System we never get to see in the US, as well as the option to speed up the game with the press of a button. A fantastic game, and a fantastic remaster! The steelbook is quite beautiful, too!

Not the best looking game as this was originally from the PS2, but the combat system, character development, and, soundtrack is timeless. Originally for PS2, this was underrated, But I loved it, glad to see I wasnt the only one. And its $40 rather than $60 like most games

This remaster of FFXII has done an excellent job bringing the game to modern consoles with enhanced textures and graphics. It also includes the job system of the IZJS version of the original game (previously only in Japan) while also adding other improvements such as autosaving as well a high speed mode toggle to speed up world traversal.

This was the only Final Fantasy game i never got a chance to play when it was available on the PS2. I'm extremely glad Square Enix decided to remaster this. The game is great and the steel book is gorgeous.

When I was younger, it took me 5-10 tries to beat this game. Not because of difficulty, just because of lack of interest in the story and main character. Now that I'm older, this game is much more palatable. The gameplay is a familiar mix of real time action and turn based strategy. The adult characters are interesting. The game is full of reasonable challenges that don't feel grindy. I recommend this game greatly, and I hope others replay this game and enjoy it as I am!

As a fan of the original FF12 release on the PS2, I was very excited to get the remastered version for the PS4 called the Zodiac Age. Story and gameplay have aged well and bring another great JRPG to the console. Well recommended to people who enjoy the genre!

I'm very impressed by the quality of the music and graphics update they did to this title. It plays well on the PS4 and on the 4K tv. I really liked this game on the PS2 when it first came out and it is just as much fun to play now. Great job on the remaster!

FFXII was my favorite final fantasy game for PS2 and it's even better on the PS4. The 2x fast forward and the remastered soundtrack are my favorite changes. The undated visuals are nice but don't expect it to look like any of the current generation PS4 games.

This is my favorite Final Fantasy and the PS4 remake is fantastic. The zodiac job system adds a new challenge that was not in the original PS2 release and you have to be careful about your role selections. The re orchestrated soundtrack sounds great too!

The zodiac job system is a lifesaver for thTose who used to paint themselves into a corner on the license board for each character. The new loot system is a lifesaver for those who accidentally opened the ONE random chest that the game never hints is one of SEVERAL chests you need to NOT open in order to get the best weapon in the game toward the END of it by placing the weapon in its own definite location. The trial mode lets you test your skill outside of your playthrough to help break through the grind and outfit your characters with new skills/abilities/ items and transfer them into your saves. The textures are clean in HD with no SD jaggies. THE FAST FORWARD BUTTON IS 2X AND 4X SPEED. PSN trophies help make the mmo-like aspects of enemy chaining and gambits feel intentional and gameplay-enriching rather than arbitrary and out-of-place.

I haven't had tons of time to plow through this game yet, but I LOVE the fast-forward feature that has been added to the remaster. It makes the grind SO much more bearable. The musical update is amazing as well. That being said, the game still shows its age. Updates to the character models are great, but the cutscenes are still a little fuzzy. I never beat the game when it originally came out. I might beat this version, though.
