Best MMO since WoW that I've played. Unfortunately, it isn't great for the PlayStation controller. There's too many buttons needed at one time.

FF14 is a nice game but I would rather play Diablo3 than to play this because monthly subscription is required (and its expensive)

This is great. It is full of action. You can lose track of time with this.

Well balanced mmo which is ever expanding by major patch every 3 months and minor every 1.5 months.

This is by far my favorite game! I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys gaming.

Awesome - great MMO! You can play the same toon on both PS4 and PC.

I upgraded to the PS4 version and I'm very glad I did. It plays very smoothly on PS4 with no hesitation or load times. Everything is much quicker and full 1080p makes this a true Final Fantasy experience. I highly recommend this version of Final Fantasy XIV to anyone who is a fan of the series or who has the PS3 version of the game.

Great at first, nice polish to graphics, tons of content, but beware I have played a lot of MMO's this one has some of the worst bots I've ever seen and Square won't do anything about it, not only will bot's try to add you to the friends list but every corner you turn these are farm bots that destroy the games economy, until Square figures out how to alleviate the problem (if they ever do) I'd recommend sticking with a F2P or another subscription model where bot's aren't so obtrusive.

My review is aimed at the new players interested in online FF, not people you are just upgrading. I've played pretty much all of the stand alone games but hadn't played the online games. The Pros: This game looks amazing! It has so many options for jobs/classes that you'll be able to play this for quite some time. You truly only need one character so if you're a past WoW player, you won't have 10 toons all over the place as you aren't limited to just one type of toon. The Cons: 1)This game was designed for computer play. Even though you have controller setups, the majority of the customization is aimed at keyboard use/mouse use. If you are going to chat with your party, you'll need a keyboard. Probably for late game playing as well. UI is customizable but the text etc. is so small that I have to sit 2-3 feet away from a 55 inch television just to see the text portions of the screen. There is no connection of the PS4 ability to use voice chat via mic unless they are your PS4 friends. 2)Like any other online game, there is a monthly subscription. 3)This game is a bit more like the classic grindfest style which can be pretty lame. 4)There is a little bit of a learning curve as many of the other players have been at it for a while. Overall if you love FF games, it could be the online game for you but if you just want to try out an online game in general, it may be better to go with something like elder scrolls online which will offer players a fresh start and is taking the time to create a PS4 specific game (better compatibility with PS4 controllers and functions).

The first release had some serious issues. Since the new release of ARR there hasn't been many issues. The PS4 version has greatly improved on the first release of ARR better visuals faster loading times, and the controls are easy to understand. I'm participating in the beta and can't wait for the official release.

Amazing game, played the beta and played it every single day. You do pay for membership if you didn't know. First month is free. Still a good game, don't mind playing.

This game was really great for me. I did stop playing however when Destiny came out, but the subscription isn't too bad. It's on par with the other games for a monthly subscription.

Always liked this game. Just as good on the new console.
