If you have ever played and liked a Fire Emblem game before you will love this one. If you have not this game is turned based strategy game. The cool thing about the game fire emblem is when one of your units dies in a stage they are done for and can't be used again after making this the challenging part of the game. Now the fire emblem series has a create a player feature where you are a part of the story which is kinda cool.

This is my first RPG that I got for my 3DS and it is great. The storyline is engaging, and there are beautiful cutscenes throughout the game. Also, there are varying levels of difficulty, so many different people can enjoy the game. It can be difficult at times for a beginner gamer especially if he/she has not played this type of game before. However, I really enjoyed this game and would recommend others to buy it.

This a good game for both returning Fire Emblem players and people new to the franchise. Game-play can be easily picked up. Fire Emblem: Awakening offers four game modes for various players. Causal for beginners or players who want to take it easy. Hard for the standard Fire Emblem game mode. Lunatic for those seeking a challenge. And Lunatic+, which can only be unlocked once you've beaten Lunatic mode.

I started the game and already I got hooked. The intro was intriguing to me, and I really wanted to get through the game as quickly as I could. It was a lot of fun at the first stage, then I got to a point where I could recruit more characters. I spent a lot of time trying to get them, which resulted in my characters getting really strong. Afterwards, the following chapters got really easy, which is nice but I love it when it is challenging. Even with that in consideration, the storyline and gameplay was really fun for me. I really like every character, both initial and recruitable. The thing that I like a lot though is the fact that you not only are the tactician, you can use him/her as well.
There is one problem that I found with it. After a certain point, if you level up your characters the way I have, the chapters and random enemies become too easy. To fix this, you'll have to buy the downloadable content (which I had no problem doing by the way, but I can't speak for other people).

This is why I bought my 3DSXL. I heard nothing but good things all year about FE:A. The story line, the characters, and the bond you build between them was what caught my interested. I'm not that far in, but the gameplay is pretty sweet so far.

This game is one of the best RPGs and games on the 3DS. With new features and modes that make the game more accessible to the casual audience, great characters, and a solid story, Fire Emblem: Awakening is a very fun game and a solid entry in the series that works for both the fanatical and new comers to the genre.

If you love the series, this game is great. There are a lot of added features such as wireless options, free and paid dlc, use of characters from every single past Fire Emblem game, and the ability to play casual or classic mode.
You will get a lot of value due to the free spotpass dlc. It plays like every other Fire Emblem game which is great. The 3D is nice and there are a ton of characters to use.
If you are new to the series, but a competent gamer, choosing hard difficulty on classic could frustrate you due to permanent death of the characters. You may be reloading the game quite often.
Overall, if you have a 3DS, this is one game everyone should have. It is no mistake that this is one of the highest rated games for the system.

The Fire Emblem series has always been rather obscure, but it seems at last that this franchise has gotten some proper recognition. A wonderful game for those just getting into the FE, yet still retaining the winning formula that has attracted it's original fanbase. A highly recommended 3DS title for any Strategy/RPG lover.

The story sucked me in pretty early on and I love how configurable the difficulty settings are Not only is there Easy Hard, Lunatic and Lunatic Plus, which sets how good you have to be at strategy to win they you also pick either classic or casual. In classic when a support character loses in battle he dies and he's gone and you're now out a man. In Casual when a support character loses in battle he's just hurt and pulls out for the rest of that battle and then comes back for the next battle.
I said $40 is expensive for a game to me, but I've put in about 45 hours and I'm still playing it every day so I'll continue getting more fun out of it for the foreseeable future
