If you've played any other Fire Emblem before, then you already know what you're in for. If you haven't, welcome to a great strategy game where every decision matters. When characters are killed (in Classic mode), they stay dead. This one seeks to build upon Fire Emblem: Awakening with a brand new story, split into 3. Unfortunately, buying one game only gets you one path but the other two stories are discounted when purchasing directly through the eShop within the game itself. Combat follows a classic rock-paper-scissors style and building relationships with the characters plays a vital role. If you love strategy games like Advance Wars with a great story and beautiful animations, then you should definitely get this game!

This version of Fire Emblem Fates allows you to explore the possibilities of standing on the side of Nohr, a medieval European-like kingdom with a somewhat dark tone. The story is grand and the battles are epic. You're missing out by not having this if you're a 3DS/2DS owner and a fan of RPGs and tactical games.

I heard that Conquest was the harder version and well they were correct. As the game progressed it got difficult and really made me think more and really had to make smart choices instead of just sending people all over the field and fight whoever. Its a great challenging game and i loved it.

This game is a turn-based tactical game with a fun story and characters. The difficulty may not be for people who are new to the series since losing characters in the battle means you lose them forever. This actually force you to plan your strategy carefully ahead of the time so your hard trained character won't be lost for good. Sure you can reset the game, but I think living with the choice you made is part of the fun. Overall, this game is deeply satisfying and challenging. I guess I will have to pick up the other version to experience the other side of the story. Five stars all the way!

If you're a Fire Emblem fan then I don't have to sell you on this game. So to those who are not fans and are looking for something to try, give this a go and you won't be sorry. There's a good reason so many people love Fire Emblem games. It's popularity has increased tremendously over the years. Nintendo recognized this and are pumping out titles faster than ever. I would recommend Awakening as a great starting point on this very same console. But, if you can't find a copy, no worries. Get this one instead and have fun. Great stories lie ahead for you my friend.

You know what you're getting with the Fire Emblem series - good strategy titles with some kind of kingdom drama. I picked this up even though I already had Birthright because of the price, but I didn't like it as much as Birthright. I'd still recommend it though.

The Fire Emblem series as a whole is a turn based RPG where you take turns with your opponent attacking each other! It may seem simple and easy, but it takes a lot of strategy to be able to take control of your opponents area and to leave without any of your troops from losing their life and being permanently gone! However if you do like that feature of the game, there is an option in the game to be able to take that out! However, as a whole, Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest is a fun game to play and a must own with how fun it is!!!

If you've enjoyed the rest of the Fire Emblem series then there won't be any surprises here. If you've never played one it's a tactics game so turn based grid battle. The story is great and characters are likable.

Very enjoyable as is Birthright however this one is far more challenging, I don't think it should be a starting place for newcomers to the Fire Emblem series but I think long time fans will enjoy it a lot. I even had fun playing it, at it's lowest level of difficulty its the most I can do at the moment. Though I plan to practice and work my way up... if that doesn't tell you how addicting and time consuming this game is I don't know what will, that doesn't have to be a bad thing though :)

Complex Strategy, immersing story, and charming characters. Every part of this game is just plain awesome. This version of the game is recommended if you're more in for a harder fire emblem experience.

I bought this game expecting to play through it once and then never touch it again, but I was so hooked on it that I replayed it immediately. I also bought Birthright, but Conquest was much better imo.

This game has already captured my attention. I cannot wait to play Birthright, all the DLC and then the Revelations DLC to find out how everything ends. Great series and definitely a great entry.

Anyone who has ever played a Fire Emblem game knows what they're in for: an epic story, great strategy game play, and quirky character. if they have to replay an entire mission, even if it takes an hour, because one of their vital character died in the second to last turn of the mission they're on, they'll gladly do it, because these are characters worth fighting to keep til the end, and ones you will genuinely be sad over losing.

I've played a few of the Fire Emblem games along with the two other version of Fates, Birthright and Revelations. As a Fire Emblem game, this one has many refined improvements. All the weapons can be infinitely used except for staffs and consumable items. The "My Castle" incentivizes me to come back and level everyone to max with all their skills. The cards that you get at the end of the game are the most important, since Revelations is my "true" version. In terms of the three versions, this version is definitely the hardest. Even when playing on medium difficulty, this version had some real hard parts. When compared to Birthright or other Fire Emblem games, there is more variations on the stage victory conditions. You will lose allies or fail stages, even if you are a seasoned player. Unlike Pokemon, the two versions are very different. Even though there are a few similar stages, the stories have a different spin by choosing Nohr. Each game is totally unique. Pros: +Amount of in-game content is pretty large. +The new classes and characters are amazing +Phoenix mode is great for newcomers or young players +Great worthwhile DLC (Recommend the DLC Packs 1 & 2) and easy/convenient to obtain in game. +Voice work is pretty good. +Still things to do after endgame. +You can visit other people's castles and obtain characters and items. Cons -No way to scout for experience (part of the difficulty or you can get the DLC stage: Boo Camp) - Visiting all the locations in My Castle after every battle gets tedious. - Marriage scenes aren't as good as Awakening

I've only really played Awakening prior to this, and this game is much more difficult. Very rewarding, but very difficult. For someone not ready, go for Birthright instead.
