The detector is easy to install and setup. The voice used on this device is not as clear as the Nest device it replaced.

Quality device and works with Google Home. Easy to add, although you have to add one more app to your phone. Wish it had a spotlight like the Nest App. And be careful to make sure you get the wired or the battery option depending on your need.

replacing one of my nest protects smoke alarms since it expired... this is very easy to setup if you are in this situation since the only thing you have to do is remove the older one from the wire and hook up this new one. You have to have the first alert app (another app!!). But is a painless transition for sure. I tested this new one with the existing ones and communication was perfect.

I think this is the only game in town as a (discontinued) Nest replacement. It’s an easy install and I’m happy with the purchase.

I was very disappointed when I found out Nest was no longer going to make the smoke detectors. I’ve used for the past 10 years. I was concerned about integrating a new one than working together and would it be as good so far I have to say this is a solid replacement. I’ve had no issues. It’s worked well and I couldn’t be more happy.

As advertised, this is a great direct replacement for an out-of-service Nest Protect, very easy to plug-and-play if you have the Nest Protect already installed. Once done the Google/Nest app recognizes it and integrates it seamlessly with any other Protects you have.

Very easy installation. I replaced an old First Alert sensor and the replacement was seamless. It looks great too.

Love the ease of connecting it to my current home monitoring app, took about 5 minutes to replace two of my nest detectors.

So far, so good. It has integrated with my google home setup and can communicate with my remaining nest devices. The two main downsides to this (which we can't do anything about if you want a replacement for a Nest smoke detector) is the appearance (this looks bland and boring) and that you need to use the First Alert app to setup the device and not google home.

Packaging was easy to open. Easy to install and replace my existing detector. Instructions and connections to WiFi and the first alert app worked first time. I like seeing check in status in the app

Easy set up through the First Alert app. Love the fact that you can silence alarm and check the status on your phone. No more waking up in the middle of the night with the annoying chirping when batteries are low.

This is a good product as a replacement for the Nest Protect. However, it should have the path lights like the Nest Protect.

Replaced my Nest Protect with a First Alert and it works great, I didn't know that these devices expires in 10yrs and Nest Protect were discontinue. These work seamlessly on the Nest and Home app but it has its own app.

Nice nest replacement. Easy install. Works with google home

Easy to install. Tools me literally 10 minutes taking my time. The only downside is I miss the google nest smoke detector. I know this one replace the nest but I love the interface with nest. Beside that solid smoke detector

I bought this to replace my old detectors that had expired, and the process couldn't have been easier. Since my home was already hardwired for First Alert/BRK units, this was a simple plug-and-play swap. The wiring harness fit perfectly, so I didn't have to call an electrician or mess with wire nuts. I love that it covers both smoke and carbon monoxide in one unit, which cuts down on the clutter on my ceilings. The side battery drawer is a huge plus—changing the backup battery is a breeze without having to take the whole unit down. Highly recommended for a quick and safe upgrade.

Bought this because the original nest protect expired. Easy to set up and install with the adapter cable for prior nest protect and this first alert smoke detector. App easy to use and to add to google home.
