Yes, you will be able to connect your SC5 to the Google Home App. The SC5 must be enrolled first via the FA App and then can be linked to your Google Home App. You can then just use the GH App to operate it. A: Hi, thank you for your question! In order to transition from your current FA detector to the SC5 it'd be necessary to change the mounting bracket. That being said, both the SC5 and the First Alert app should work on any 2.4ghz or 5ghz Wi-Fi router commonly sold on the market.
