Yes, you will be able to connect your SC5 to the Google Home App. The SC5 must be enrolled first via the FA App and then can be linked to your Google Home App. You can then just use the GH App to operate it. Q: Is this a 10-year rated battery?
A: Hi, thank you for your question! It depends on the model. The battery operated model (SMCO600NV) uses six CR123A batteries which have a life expectancy of 3-6 years. The hard wired model (SMCO600NV-AC) does have a 10 year backup battery, as its main source is AC voltage.— Charlie

That being said, both the SC5 and the First Alert app should work on any 2.4ghz or 5ghz Wi-Fi router commonly sold on the market.
