TPIY Revolutionize Metalcore

The Plot In You have been labeled as 'stale metalcore' and that there is 'nothing new' with their debut full-length, I could not disagree with this more.
The Plot In You screams (quite literally) pure emotion and energy. Somewhat of a concept album, it starts off with a crying woman calling her emotional husband telling him that she is pregnant. It immediately then grabs you by the face and throws you into the ground with a breakdown. They have gotten criticism for their excessive breakdowns, even being referred to as "breakdowncore" by some. While they do have a lot of breakdowns, they seamlessly break into and out of them. There are no solos or harmonizing guitars, but the two vocalists (Landon Tewers & Anthony Thoma) do an amazing job of switching between viewpoints of the subjects in their songs and create some sort of their own harmony with that.
TPIY are definitely one of my favorite bands. They fuse metalcore with a hint of deathcore and a stab of hardcore. They are also self-produced by their own frontman, Landon Tewers. Definitely a buy if you want catchy tunes to headbang to and ease off some anger after a long day at work or school.

When I first heard their song miscarriage I got excited and this was so heavy.
