Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

Excellent for entry-level fitbit - sleeker design

The alta design is more sleek and better for those preferring not such a bulky or wide fitbit. It does not have the heart rate feature but that is not a big deal: Pros: Sleek and unobtrusive, black band not conspicuous with business wear, the ability to receive smart phone notifications when away from the smart phone (texts, calls, calendar), tracking goals, fairly long battery life - have to recharge every 2 to 3 days. Cons: one minute difference between the watch and my smart phone - not sure how to fix, some times the sync is not as fast as I would like since I am measuring myself fairly consistently, some times the notifications from my smart phone overlap the notifications from the fitbit since I have the phone notifications synced.

Love my new Fitbit Alta! It's chic and stylish! Love how it alerts me when I've received a message or call and when I've been sitting down too long. Very happy with my purchase.

Love the size of this activity tracker. It was the deciding factor for me to purchase it. Don't like the ridges in the band that it came with; they collect dirt very easily. I am a nurse, and have to wear a second watch at work because it does not display seconds and the display turns off too quickly. Probably not the best activity tracker out there, but perfect if you are just wanting to count steps and want something that is more inconspicuous than other bulkier ones. Also love that you can switch out the bands. I bought a black leather one to wear on days that I'm not at work and feel like it looks more like a piece of jewelry than an activity tracker.

I chose this fitbit style because it's small and lightweight. I barely know it's on until it vibrates to remind me to walk. It has definitely helped me become more active. It really motivates me to challenge myself to walk more and exercise.

Needed some motivation to get more exercise but didnt want to spend a lot of money. Selected the alta because I liked the look and it was priced reasonably. I was in a hurry when I made the purchase and was only looking for something to track my steps. I didnt realize it had an app that let you set goals and monitored progress. You can track steps, weight, calories burned, etc. I especially love the reminders when you havent been moving enough-light vibration to the wrist and a message. Another nice surprise was the notification -again a light vibration and text on screen- when receiving a text or phone call. Now I can leave my iphone in my purse without fear of missing an important message or call because I know my fitbit will alert me if anything comes in. I can then choose whether or not I need to pull out my phone to respond. Saves me time pulling out my phone only to see it is an annoying telemarketer. The battery life seems pretty good as I can get several days on a single charge. This little device is so much more than I expected. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks but it is really helpful in getting me to increase my activity, lose weight, and get healthier.

Attractive, not too bulky, but small text

I love the appearance of this tracker and the fact that it gives me notifications of calls, alarms, etc. from my phone. The text used for these notifications, however, is very small and hard to read. You also have to tap it to get to each display instead of being able to swipe between screens. These are the only two suggestions for improvement that I'd give it. On the positive side,it gives you a buzz at 50 minutes past every hour to remind you to get up and move and it's attractive - not too bulky. It keeps good track of steps except when on the treadmill so I switch to a Fitbit One when walking on it. The Fitbit App switches automatically between the two to add all of the steps together. This combination works well for me.

I purchased the fit bit alta for my daughter who's in middle school. She loves it. Motivated as she is the fit bit actually makes her move around more and gives her a schedule to stay with. Works great, lasts for a few days when fully charged and have had no complaints from her. Highly recommend.

Bought this for my wife and she has been enjoying it very much. Easy to use with one drawback. When you first get it the clasps are tight and a little tough to close when you put it on your wrist. Had to help her put it on for 2 or 3 weeks until it loosened up a bit.

I must confess, I am a Fitbit "fanatic". This Alta is my fourth Fitbit, and I absolutely love it! It gives me the information I need, including the time of day, steps walked, exercise tracked, and calories consumed and burned! This Fitbit even gives me the battery level so there is no more mystery concerning when to charge. The Alta's elegant look and varied wristbands allow me to wear it everywhere. Try it, and you'll be a Fitbit "fanatic" too!

As a long time Flex wearer, I am in love with this Alta. I am a restaurant manager and never have my phone on me, the Alta lets me monitor my calls and texts discreetly from the floor! Very accurate on the exercise activity and step count.

I am petite, so I was looking for a fitness tracker that would fit my small wrists. I read many reviews that all said that the Fitbit Alta was great for small wrists. I bought one on sale and I have not been disappointed. It fits and does not look bulky. It's great for tracking steps, how often you sleep, water intake, calories, etc. There's even fitness videos to help you work out. The only thing I don't like is that it needs to be plugged into a USB port on the computer to charge.

This is my second Fitbit. User friendly, simple to understand, easy to use. Phone app is excellent and offers so much. Sleep patterns and workout stats are real time and very helpful. Clasp on unit is stronger than previous item but still leaves room to concern. The clasp is the only reason for a 4 star review and not 5. Though much better than previous, the old clasp led to the loss of item off wrist during activity. Other than that, BUY IT, USE IT, LOVEIT!

I have tried many other models and this is a great combination of style and function! I love that you can visually see your progress on the screen and an added bonus that I didn't even know about before I bought it was that you can see who is calling you and read your text messages without getting your phone out of your bag! Also love that it tracks sleep. I ended up buying the pink band as well and like how easy it is to switch from one to the other.

I have had this Fitbit Alta for almost a month now and I am very satisfied with it. I like that it can track my sleep habits and it also motivates me to move. I have neck and back pain from disk degenerative disease and it hurts for me to move. I set goals for myself and try to reach them every day. I also like the food and calorie log as I am trying to gain weight. The Fitbit lets me know how many more calories I need for the day in order to gain each week according to the goals I set. It is very difficult to fasten at first but I was prepared for that because I read the reviews before purchasing it. People were right. It is very hard to fasten but with repeated use, it definitely gets easier. I was frustrated the first few days because it took so long to get it on. I took it off and repeatedly fastened and unfastened it and that seemed to "break it in". I have no difficulty with it anymore. I even bought another band so I would have options with color. I received the new band less than a week ago and that one is already easy to fasten. I really like the silent alarms you can set. I no longer wake up the household with my loud iPhone alarm. I also like the fact that I can check my text messages and phone calls on the Fitbit. I would recommend this ptoduct to others.
