Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

I'm overall very happy with my Fitbit Alta. I love the design and like the size. The battery often holds a charge for longer than five days, sometimes a week. The only thing is that sometimes it doesn't count steps if I'm walking and holding something in my hand (the one next to my fitbit). Other than that it's been pretty reliable.

Great exercise band for a beginner

I would give this band 5 stars if it tracked stairs climbed. The BestBuy salesman told me that it would. I had a flex before and liked it but needed a better exercise band that would track steps, sleep, water, include alarms, show texts and phone calls, and be a watch. I was going to buy a Garmin but since I had a Fitbit before, the Fitbit app is easier to use and buying the Alta allowed me to keep my fitness history. I also wish that retail outlets carried a navy band vs just black, teal or purple.

The important stats are available on my wrist!

I wanted a device that was smaller, stylish yet displays all the stats that I feel are important in a tracker, such as miles walked and calories burned - the Alta does this and more. I especially love the hourly prompts to move and the ability to change out the types of bands. The battery life is amazing- GREAT device!

    Very good pedometer

I bought this pedometer to replace a watch and my previous Fitbit. Overall, it works great with my iPhone, seems accurate, and is comfortable. The only issue I have with it is that it's supposed to display the time when I turn my wrist toward me. Over half of the time it doesn't do this so I end up tapping the Fitbit repeatedly trying to get it to "wake up" in order to display the time.

It is extremely comfortable, with a great design that is not bulky and it's easy to "blend" with different outfits. It's a great tracker for steps and it's nice to get the reminders to move, as well as text and calls alerts from my phone. The band is kind of difficult to close, but you get used to it.

    I like the screen

This is my upgrade from the Charge HR. I found that I really wasn't using the heart rate tech on the Charge HR and wanted a band that I could wear to multiple occasions without looking gaudy. I like the screen. At first, I did struggle with tapping the screen correctly... but you have to tap more around the middle of the screen to get consistent results. Also, the strap was hard to put on for the first time because the holes for the securing area are tight. However, after practicing a few times I feel more comfortable with it. Also, it feels really secure once I get it on like it won't fall off (a few friends have lost their Charges/Flexes). Finally, I like that it sends me reminders to move. I am a nurse, so when I work my 3 shifts I am always up and walking. However, during my 4 days off I sometimes struggle with getting away from the computer/TV. I hope that the reminders with the Alta will help improve my activity on my non-working days.

Fitbit - Alta Activity Tracker (Small) - Teal. This is a really cool way to keep track of steps and sleep activity, calories burned, active minutes and distance. Does not include heart rate which is a bummer but it does show when you get a text message or when you get a phone call which is a bonus!

The Fitbit Alta does not only have a sleek design, but reminds me when I have been sedentary for too long, lets me know my sleep patterns, and keeps track of my steps throughout the day. I can easily see my progress on my smartphone. This is a great activity tracker and reasonably priced as well.

I love everything about this product! I love the dashboard on the Fitbit app. You can track you calorie intake and see sleep tracking as well as activity tracking. This FitBit will automatically pick up your exercises. It also shows text and call notifications which is a great bonus feature.

Purchased for my wife. Here's what she had to say: really find this fitness tracker to be perfect for everything I was looking for. It's feminine looking and comfortable. The clasp is not an issue at all. The first few days it took some getting used to, but now it snaps in easily. It was just the size I was looking for. I should say perfect, because I have a small wrist and hate when the female sizes don't look feminine at all. Super happy it was avail in different sizes. The tapping of the screen was not an issue at all for me. I don't even touch the screen. You can simply tap the side of it and it will pop up. I like to avoid smudging the screen up with fingerprints. The app is so nice. I had the garmin vivosmart before this. After 5 months, the lighting mechanism started to fail and I needed an upgrade. I found the vivosmart wasn't accurate with my distance on the treadmill. This is spot on. The fitbit is much more accurate with total steps.

This is my first Fitbit and love that it's slim fit and the reminders to get up and move. I love that it displays my incoming calls and text messages. The only downside about the Alta is that you have to lift your wrist a certain way to see who's is calling or the text message.

I used the Fitbit One for over two years and decided to upgrade, so I chose the Fitbit Alta. Overall, it's a great tracker. Two things that keep me from rating it 5 stars is the fact that it doesn't track stairs like the One did and sometimes it takes a couple of twists of the wrist or taps of the screen to get the display to show.

This is a stylish, yet very capable fitness and sleep tracker. It also will handle text/iMessage delivery, so you don't have to look @ your iPhone all the time. The battery life is really good, rated at 7 days, though my wife hasn't pushed it to the limit yet (5-6 days).

The Alta Fitbit is terrific. It is great for me to learn how I really sleep. It motivates me to keep walking and exercising. The msg and vibrating at 10 min before the hour is a wonderful reminder to keep moving. It's the best electronic "gadget" I have ever bought.

Slim and lightweight. Easy to use. Only drawback is the way it clasps shut can be tricky to put on. It must snap into two holes to be on properly- I often put it on only for it to fall off because it didn't snap in all the way. Once secured however it's great
