My daughter bought my husband a Charger HR and frankly, he used for a couple of weeks and then found it a hassle to use. I started to use it and got kind of 'hooked' especially since my daughter and I started competing against each other!!! While it was fun, the Charger was just too big for my small wrist and rubbed against wrist bone and started to hurt. No fun. Hubby decided to purchase me Alta HR as a present and I so glad that he did. I so prefer the smaller form factor and found it easy to use after I went through some issues with it getting set up with my Samsung 7 Edge so it would give me input from my text messages. Really like this option since I keep my phone on mute. One of the things I really enjoy is the tracking of my sleep patterns. I have found this useful since I have issues with sleeping the whole night. Yes, I like the fact when I wake up in the middle of night two quick taps gives me the time I have awoken as does sleep pattern graph in the morning. One of the big things I like is the ability to customize what I see on the display. The other is the increased battery life over the Charger HR. I found it very easy to use my battery backup for my cell phone for charging. Works great to recharge my Altar HR while I am taking a shower in the morning and lasts a few of days. If you want an activity tracker (no really serious reason why), this is a very good option. Did I really need it? No. Is it fun? Yes.

It should state on the box that it is not compatible with all phones would save a lot of people time and money to see that it is not user friendly with all phones. After 2 days of trying to load it we finely contacted customer support only to have them tell us that it is not compatible with all Samsung phones.

I was not happy with Fitbit. Would not keep syncing with my phone. Poor technicians.

The watch band disconnects to easily and falls off. Not happy with this product.

Fitbit has automatically updated their software and rendered the AltaHR model Fitbit functions inoperable. Functions such as sleep tracking, heart rate, etc. are no longer monitored with the app. Best Buy should demand their suppliers cease these practices or be held liable as their agent.

One can sit at your desk all day working on artwork and by the 8 hour shift clocked 5,000 steps. In my dreams, Even after setting my non dominate arm to dominate it made no difference. I can wakeup and before I get out of bed there are 50 steps counted, that was arm movement during sleep.

fitbit didn't always update, had problems with it.returned item

This device does not pair with my phone or tablet, and continually unpairs with my laptop. It is only 4 months old and defective. Fitbit is sending me a replacement device, but my experience thus far has been an exercise in frustration. I definitely do not recommend this device.

I had a heart attack and bought this to monitor my heart rate. It does an ok job for my resting heart rate, but it is totally off when I’m exercising. It’s probably ok for counting steps if that’s all you are interested in. Expensive piece of trash. I plan on returning it.

Records step when you sleep Does not calculate correctly

After having the Fitbit charge I am very dissatisfied with this Fitbit. Have to tap too many times for readout and it does not send the notifications too many times when I receive a phone call or text. I see not purchase but again.

The device would not connect to my iPhone. I spent two hours on the phone with tech support from apple and Fitbit and nothing has changed. I was really excited to use this but unfortunately, it just didn’t work.

Maybe it's me but I could never get this to work properly. So I gave it to my sister and she said she couldn't get it to work right either. I think it's in a drawer in her house now.

I had bought this for my grandma. It does not calculate as many steps. We found out this is happening to a lot of this product. We ended up returning it to get an Apple Watch.

I compared it to my cardiologist and physical therapist readings,and this product was way off,and it's very hard to see outdoors .

I'm extremely disappointed with the Fitbit AltaHR. It was difficult to syn and there are some features that don't work.

Worked fine until Feb 1..update will not sync...no fixes so far...not an isolated issue. Sad waste of money
