Great way to remember to move.

I sit a lot during the day. I bought this as a way to remind myself to get up and move. It reminds me to move every hour. I hit that goal and now I am averaging 10k steps per day. The fact that it tracks my sleep is awesome. I can see why I am so tired on some days. I would like a better report summary.

    Best Activity tracker yet

This has been my favorite activity tracker yet. I had a Garmin which I threw away and got the charge HR a year ago now I upgraded and it is as light and comfortable to wear to sleep. The sleep stages and HR information is very cool and gives you tips on how to make it even better. To the people who wrote bad reviews after the software update Fitbit did this product is flawless 7 days of battery and HR never gave me an issue. Definitly recommend this for comfort and stylish

    My wife loves it!

My wife loves this Fitbit. I did the research and read the reviews and the pros outweighed the cons by a mile. My wife is not the most tech savvy, but she loves how it connects to her Google phone and she can use the app to keep track of her steps, sleep habits, calorie intake, and fitness goals. At first she wasn’t fond of the color (pink and rose gold), but after seeing other fitbits out there, it’s unique.

    BEST INVESTMENT!

I'm absolutely smitten with my FitBit Alta Charge HR. I payed the extra cash for the Rose Gold edition and it is beautiful. It complements the band beautifully. I love how simplistic the Alta is. I previously owned an Apple Watch and did not like how I was paying more attention to my text messages and apps versus my calories and how much I was exercising. I sold it and decided to switch to FitBit and am SO GLAD I DID. I also use the MyFitnessPal app to track my calories and exercise and I love that the FitBit automatically sends my workout information straight to the app so it tells me how many calories I've burned for the day. They pair so seamlessly together and I really could not be more pleased. The small band fits my small wrist perfectly with no gaps but still gives room for ease or to make it tighter. The battery life is incredible. I purchased it on Friday night and it is now Monday afternoon and I have only had to charge it when I first opened the package so far. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

I received this as a gift and have been using it for about 6 months. In general, the idea of just wearing a tracker has been very effective for me and having it alert me throughout the day as to when I've met goal or sending reminders to get moving are motivating. Compared to an older version I had, this fitbit sync's with my texts and phone calls which is so convenient when I'm out running errands. There's a great selection of bands and it's comfortable to wear when I'm sleeping. I also like the gentle wake up "buzzing" vs. an alarm on my phone. I think the app is great, easy to use and I've just downloaded the fitbit coach which I'm looking forward to trying out. I highly recommend this product and it makes a great gift too!

I've owned the Charge HR and the Alta. I loved the look of Alta but missed the HR feature. I'm so glad they brought HR to Alta! The new clasp is a big improvement. I bought the gray. It's a nice nuetral alternative to black.

    The best fitness tracker

Prior to this fitness tracker I have had multiple UP bands. After many issues with their bands I decided to give this one a go and I had no idea what I was missing. This tracker does it all and then some in my opinion. It has been extremely accurate in step counts and connects via Bluetooth (data uploads very fast too) Another thing I am very impressed with is the battery life, seriously it's amazing. If you are considering getting a tracker definitely look into this one!

    Second review

I left a review the day I got it complaining that the heart rate monitor is broken. But Best Buy apparently doesn't let you edit reviews, so I have to give this 5 stars on a second account to balance out the 2 stars I have before. I give it a 3 for anyone super concerned with heart rate accuracy and a 4 for anyone else. It does seem to help if you move it up your wrist, keep it tight, and if you wait a bit before trusting the reading it's giving you. The tracking may not be as accurate as the Charge 2 or Apple Watch, but it's manageable.

Display very readable, phone app fairly easy to use, but the screen tap is poor. Often have to tap or slide multiple times (ie. taps don't register). Also the bottom side doesn't seem to follow the natural wrist curve very well. Going to checkout another offering by a well known brand that starts with S.

Ive tested out various activity trackers and i always seem to come back to fitbit. The quality is amazing and the platform of users is huge so everything gets updated and improved consistently. I love using these for hiking and running. this color is to die for in person!

    Fitbit Alta HR is Terrible!

    Posted .

I don't usually write reviews but buyer beware on this new Alta Fitbit HR. I just received mine in the mail yesterday from Fitbit directly. You have to tap it like crazy to get readings that you can't even see outdoors. I own a Fitbit Charge HR 2 and have no problems with it. But this new Alta HR is rediculously thick stands off my wrist uncomfortably and I get more exercise tappingro it to get a reading than I do running. I made the mistake of buying it directly from Fitbit who unlike Bestbuy charges for shipping and won't reimburse the shipping cost to me or for the return shipping cost. Don't buy online!!! Try it on in the store and tell them to let you take it outside in the sun. I have never been so disappointed with a product and feel very mislead by Fitbit.
