Purchased this for an older family member who doesn't require all the apps that a smartwatch has. He loved the color, HR tracking, and step tracking. As an added plus, he synced it to his phone so he could get notifications about calls and texts. The only thing he didn't like was how the time would not update automatically when he was traveling.

I really like the larger screen compared to my old Charge HR. The battery also seems to last much longer than the HR. Very happy with the upgrade.

So I looked for a long time at the different Fitbit options and the one thing I knew I wanted for sure was the heart rate monitor option. I love that I now get a far more accurate read on the calories I burn during workouts and how many steps I take than my phone gave me. I coupled my Fitbit with my fitness pal and have been losing weight and am really happy with the product!!

I had the prior charge but the charge 2 is far superior. Nicer looking and more features. Easy to use. Interchangeable wristbands. Easy to change.

I absolutely love this Fitbit. It is so easy to use and it keeps me accountable. It allows me to track my steps, bed and wake times, quality of sleep, calories burned. It is a huge asset for anyone who is trying to live a healthier lifestyle! It provides both objective data to track one’s compliance and progress, and positive feedback when goals are met.

Very pleased with this tracker. I previously owned 3 charge HR’s, yes 3 because they kept on failing. Fitbit admitted they are no good and they don’t make that model anymore. The only complaint I have is the charger,I wish they would come with a better one. I have seen 3rd party charges but I am reluctant due to possibly damaging my Fitbit by not using the charger made for the device. Here is a tip to extend battery life, if you don’t really use the heart rate feature, turn this feature off and your battery will last beyond 7 days. I also love the ability to change the bands, just wish they were a little less expensive, other than that, this is a fantastic tracker and I highly recommend it.

I had a Fitbit Charge HR which worked fine until it got damaged and water infiltrated and it stopped working. The new Charge 2 is improved in a few ways and it is much easier to add activities, review progress and the improvements to Fitbit Connect while minor, are much easier to use and modify. Nice product and it has its place on my wrist for all my physical activities.

I recently got a Steel HR and am getting used to that. The charge shows you the info as you raise your wrist up to your face. No touching the button like you have to do with the steel. Battery life is about five days. Steel is 25. Charge is not water resistant Steel is to 50 m. I got both these for steps and heart rate and both do a great job. I got my Steel for 20% off. You're better off with a Steel if you can find a deal. If not the Charge 2 is serviceable.

I actually got this as a present for my 18 year old daughter she loves that she can tell how many steps she has taken at work and school while also keeping track of her heart beats. She likes that she can get a short text from her phone to her tracker when she can't have her phone with her at work. I am glad I got this for her thinking about getting one for myself.

Good option for tracking activity and sleep

Overall, this is a good option for tracking your activity levels and sleep quality. It can be good for giving you a reminder to get additional activity in on a day when you might otherwise not be getting very much activity. My wife and I noticed that on nights when we wear earplugs, the Fitbit seems to have a difficult time detecting sleep. I am not sure if Fitbbit is aware of this issue, and we have noticed it consistently. Otherwise, it can give you some interesting insights into your sleep patterns, and may give you some ideas as to what factors may be adversely affecting your sleep, such as certain foods before bed, viewing of screens before you try to sleep, etc.

I chose the C2 for it's slim design (not too slim, like the Alta), changeable bands, and all of it's other great features! Along with tracking my steps and heart rate, challenges with friends, I especially love that it automatically tracks my sleep. I only wish that FitBit would allow more options for those who work night shift. All in all, I love my FitBit!

Being aware that this is NOT a smart watch, I was hesitant at first because I wanted more features, but the comfort, the ease of use, quality, battery life and fitbit app are really stellar. Only reason I give four stars is due to lack of waterproof construction. If Fitbit wants to really smash the competition, waterproof for swimming is essential. I may have to go to alternative brand next time just because of the lack of that feature. sad.

This wrist band fusses at you if you sit too long! I used UP for many years and really liked it but they are no longer made. I switched to FitBit reluctantly because I really liked my UP. FitBit Charger 2 has met and exceeded my expectations. The only draw back I see is that I am unable to get sleep stages because of my irregular heart beat. My wife wore it one night and the sleep stages worked fine on her. These bands have allowed me to lose and keep off over forty pounds!!! I am sold on their effectiveness.

I owned a first generation charge HR, and while I liked it a lot, it did have several issues that this model improves upon. Firstly, the larger screen is really useful while the device itself has remained relatively small, light, and durable. Secondly, I have had this device for about 8 months now and it has held up really well. I wear it every single day and have put this thing through bootcamp workouts, weekly baseball games, training for two half marathons, and have not experienced any issues with the device as of yet except...the original band that came with the device suffered from the same "bubbling" that the first generation was known for. Luckily, they made the bands on the HR2 replaceable and was able to find great replacement bands for cheap online. So lastly, the replaceable bands are a fantastic upgrade as you can now wear the HR2 to match any style. This device does not have GPS on its own, it uses your phone's GPS to give you info about your runs while you're on a workout. So, if you're like me and always have your phone on you when you run, this is a non-issue but something to note for others that may be seeking a more "independent" device.
