Customers are pleased with the Charge 2's accurate heart rate and sleep tracking capabilities, along with its ease of use and long battery life. Many appreciate the device's step tracking and the additional features it offers. However, some concerns exist regarding the band's durability and the lack of full waterproofing. The screen size and notifications are also frequently praised.

I have worn a FitBit for four years, and felt it was the best way to keep motivated to keep moving. When my last Zip died, I made the switch to the Charge 2. I wasn't so sure I'd like wearing a wrist band all the time, as I was used to keeping the Zip in a pocket or waist band. It didn't take long to get accustomed to wearing it as it doesn't have to be tight to get a reading. The vibration at 10min before the hour reminds me to get up and move. And I was amazed at the sleep readings - no wonder I was dragging some mornings. The heart rate monitor also helps me to push a little harder. My only 2 complaints are 1) the feature that allows me to see a lit up screen when turning my wrist doesn't always work and I have to push the button, and 2) the feature that allows me to see a lit up screen when turning my wrist works too well at night when turning over in bed - it's like a brief nightlight. I find myself purposely taking more steps now that I can see my progress on my wrist as opposed to pulling the little Zip out of my pocket. Syncing with the app on my iPhone is easier than ever - no more tapping the Zip to wake it up, just be in close proximity of your phone with app on.
I bought a large band size, although the small would have fit, since I don't like watch bands too tight. The fourth hole from the start fits fine. I like how the display is customizable as I wanted to know the time also. The display is so brief that I have to decide beforehand if I'm going to look at the time or my steps - mostly looking at steps now since I get the buzz at 10 till the hour. The band comes in black or purple - I got the black, although I thought I wanted the purple at time of purchase (out of stock at that time). The black is very stylish and not too manly for a woman. It actually is a lot prettier than the Timex IronMan that I wore for years. I'm not sure about it's water resistance as I have been very careful when washing my hands - unlike the Timex that could be submerged. Maybe Fitbit will improve that feature in future models. I usually charge it about every other day, while I'm taking a shower since I want to wear it all the other minutes of the day. It is usually only about a quarter discharged, so it could probably go a few more days. I would definitely buy this again, or recommend it to someone who needs/wants visual feedback of their movements or lack of.

I’ve now had 5 Fitbits in less than 4 years. Bought an HR, and it died from software failure just out of warranty. They did give me a “courtesy replacement” that lasted about a year before it was damaged in a fall (the only one I’ve had that died a legit death). So I got a Charge 2 to replace it. Had to exchange it within 2 days because the band kept separating from the tracker. The replacement band worked, thankfully, but the replacement had a problem within 6 months. The display cracked at the junction of the frame and the display, and it progressively worsened. I called them and, surprise surprise, they offered a “courtesy replacement.” That one died (won’t charge, can’t restart) before I got a chance to use it.
Check out the online Fitbit community, and you’ll see countless posts about cracked screens and failure. So I’m done. I just ordered a Garmin. I suggest you spare yourself the Fitbit hassle and do the same.

My band won't stay secure. Have lost it several times. I don't and can't even wear it.

My first Fitbit was a clip on and I found that I often forgot to wear it. This one is always with me and I love it. I have recommended it, and bought it, for others. It has a nice, clear display. It's easy to use and has all the features I want - it regulates sleep, steps, calories, heart rate. You just tap the screen on your wrist to see your numbers. The Fitbit ap is nice and keeps track of your progress. It's great for sharing or competing with friends. It recharges quickly and stays charged for days. It's everything I want in a wearable fitness monitor. The only thing this model doesn't do is water, but that's not an issue for me. You can't shower with it on, but that's when I plug it in to recharge.

This is an incredible upgrade from the Fitbit Charge HR. The new screen is very useful and way more fun to use. I can see so many stats now and find myself looking at my phone a lot less. The best feature is notifications of phone calls and text messages. You can't read them but you can at least determine if the text or call os urgent or not.
As far as tracking, this is 100x more accurate with activity tracking. As far as steps are concerned, they are dead accurate with my phone counter (assuming I care both at the same time all day)
I wasn't loyal to fitbit before this device, but now I expect to have this for another 2 years. I like how I can replace the bands so over time I can upgrade or switch out my worn one.
Great product from fitbit!

This has worked for a while now without a hitch. Step, activity and auto-workout trackers have worked flawlessly. I love how you're able to receive notifications from your phone for texts, phone calls, reminders..., etc. Couldn't be happier so far. I do recommend getting some sort of screen protector though. Being on your wrist all day it's prone to getting scratched. Which mine did. No fault of the product though.

Purchased this as a gift and the recipient couldn’t say enough great things about it! I have the smaller Fitbit that doesn’t include the heart rate monitor or large screen, but after hearing great feedback about the Charge 2, I’m tempted to buy myself one to replace mine. Definitely worth the extra money due to all the additional features. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy a fitness tracker.

I really like the Fitbit Charge2. I bought this one for my mother. I've had one for 2-years now. I wasn't sure I was going to like it since I haven't worn a watch in many years. It's pretty inexpensive, simple & easy to use & does a lot of things. I mainly use this to track my steps during the day. It gives me reminders along the way to remind me to get up & move. There are also goals you can set with the phone app. The other thing it does it tracks my pulse, sleep & sleep patterns. It will track exercise, flights of stairs & several other things I haven't used it for yet.If you install the app on your phone you can track things like weight, water & food intake. It also shows if I have a text or phone call coming in. Battery lasts all week. So I only recharge once a week. I will buy one of these again for myself again when this one wears out. 2-years & still going.

I bought this Fitbit because of the easy to read screen and I'm very satisfied with it. I love how it keeps track of your steps for you, but also tracks your sleep, monitors your heart rate, and more. I think it's also nice how it will give you reminders to get up and move to reach your step goal when you haven't moved in awhile.

This fitness tracker does everything I want it to. The step, stair, and hourly activity tracking really motivate me to be more active. The heart rate monitor is also very helpful to see how much I am really exerting myself. It serves as my watch, and I LOVE how it notifies me of incoming texts and phone calls. I used to miss calls and texts a lot when my phone was in silent mode; now I don't miss anything. It also tracks my sleep patterns, and I can set a silent alarm to gently buzz me on the wrist to wake me in the morning without disturbing my wife. The OLED display is also very bright and sharp. The biggest downside for me is that the touch display is not always very responsive. I often have to tap it multiple times before it responds. Also, the OLED display occasionally shines me in the face at night when I move my arm around while I'm sleeping. But I'm a fitful sleeper so maybe others won't have this problem. All in all, EXCELLENT value for a device that does so much and costs less than half the price of an Apple Watch.

This product does exactly what I bought it for. The screen is large enough for me to read and see notifications from my phone as well as any information on the device. Changing bands is simple as well so that it always matches what you’re wearing. The battery lasts me almost a full week before I need to recharge.

Bought this as a gift for myself...
The good:
Active heart rate
-Reminds me to get up and move which is awesome since I spend a lot of tome at my desk at work.
-Tracks my deep, light, and REM sleep.
-notify me of texts and phone calls
-vibrates as a silent alarm
-allows customizable goals
-awesome detailed app w/ workouts that I can join with friends.
The Bad: water resistant but not recommended to wear in shower or pool.
The Ugly: got a minor rash/dry skin from the band only, not the device. Bought a new band for less than 9 dollars and have not had an issue since.
Highly recommend the Fitbit Charge 2... wish I made purchase sooner.

This is a nice upgrade from the original charge HR. The bigger screen is clear and bright and the notifications are a nice touch. There was an issue with the band breaking where it connects to the watch itself, but FitBit replaced it free of charge and very quickly. The HR monitor is pretty accurate as well as the step counts. Nice activity tracker.

Upgraded from the Fitbit Charge HR, which fell apart! After reading reviews of other watches and other Fitbit varieties, I concluded that the only downside to the Fitbit Charge 2 HR was a comment or two about the clunky size. I ruled out others that were much bigger, were more expensive, had shorter battery life and decided on the Charge 2 HR.
So far, I don't mind the size of it at all. It is smaller than any regular watch I have worn in the past. The battery lasts a week or more, depending on my use. Most others were quoted as 3 to 5 days! The display is a good size with more info than the Charge HR. There are many more features I haven't even tapped into yet (pun intended).
It must be more accurate as I have noticed that I am NOT reaching 10,000 steps as easily as I used to with my Charge HR. I particularly like the more detailed sleep tracker. For the small upgrade in price, the tech upgrade was well worth it!

It is great over all, it is so accurate when it comes to steps and my heart rate. I like the multiactivites on it, from the running to biking to even gym equipment. The battery lasts me a good 4-6 days which is nice and I dont get distracted by it being on my wrist. I have had a fitbit before, charge HR, the band didnt last which sucked but with this I can change out the band when it starts getting the wear and tear affect. Overall, I love fitbit and their products and I havent had one issure with the charge 2. Highly reccomend!

I researched different brands of fitness trackers as well as various Fitbit models and this was the best one for what I wanted. I really like that you can challenge yourself throughout the day as well as friends and family to step it up. My favorites are the heart rate monitor, automatic exercise recognition and absolutely love the sleep tracker! I haven't been sleeping well so being able to track it in order to improve sleep habits is great. I also enjoy being able to see my calls, texts and calendar appointments without having to carry my phone around.... especially in meetings. I am so glad I made this purchase- I even talked 2 friends into purchasing fitbits as well. I highly recommend this model!

I got this as a gift last Christmas after three failed attempts through the warranty system with the Garmin Vivosmart. For an equitable or lower price the Garmin, this smart watch / activity band is already better. It measures heart rate like a pro, tracks steps, and has a better app. My few qualms about it are negligible: The band that came with it was poorly constructed and I had to get a new one, but they were a lot easier to replace than the Garmin line (of which my father went through three as well). Also, it only displays calendar and phone call notifications, which are great, but I wish there was some way to see texts or emails pop up occasionally.

I bought this after a short stay in hospital. I needed to rehab and I needed a way of keeping track of my exercise and basic well-being. This does a good job of all of that. The goals are configurable but I left them at defaults. 10000 steps a day is a lofty goal for someone who sits at desk all day but the fitbit reminds me to get up and move around. It's useful to be able to monitor your day-to-day exercise, heart rate and sleep patterns.
This is a pretty basic device but it does what I want. I know there are many more sophisticated devices out there but I'm OK with that.
I find that the "turn wrist to switch on display" function is hit or miss. I find myself flipping my hand around sometimes before just pressing the button to get the display on.

I love the fitbit charge 2. I have had the fitbit charge one and now am happy to upgrade to the next one. Love having the heart rate, knowing my sleep pattern and of coarse how many steps I have taken for the day.
