Excellent Fitbit for most tracking needs

I've had Fitbits since they came out starting with an Ultra, then a couple Ones followed by a Surge and now this. The Charge 2 is an excellent release and I've been as happy with it as any that I've had. As long as your primary purpose in wearing it is to track your activity and not be any kind of smart watch, I'm certain you will be too. My primary activities with it are tracking my walking and bike riding. In regards to both, I've been more satisfied with it's use of my phone's GPS than I ever was with the built-in GPS on my Fitbit Surge. I was always hesitant to use the GPS tracking on the surge due to the way it would suck the battery and force me to go Fitbit-less sooner while it sat on the charger. My phone, on the other hand is always being charged anyway and doing so doesn't require that I take off my Fitbit. Even on an all-day bike ride, I can toss the phone with an external battery in a bag while I wear the watch and neither comes close to running out of juice. The battery, even with loads of activity tracking, lasts me most of a week. Other nice things about it are the simple text/phone/cal notifications on it and the great display and quick interface. There are a few things that I don't like as much. For one, at night it can be quite bright. I do wish that it had a sensor to tell it to dim the display when it was dark. Also, looking at my wrist doesn't always trigger the accelerometer in the Charge to wake up the display. I've gotten to where I quickly rotate my wrist away from me first, then back towards my face to ensure enough motion to wake it up. A small deal — but one I have to do multiple times a day. In all, if you know what a Fitbit is and aren't expecting something that's more than that, I think you will be very happy with this. It does what Fitbits have always done, better than they have ever done it.

This is my first smartwatch; I bought Fitbit to help me meet my daily fitness goals. Tracking my daily physical routine is a great benefit in monitoring my progress. I like mixing up my route when walking or jogging so the stats make it easy for me to know the number of steps I have taken, how many miles I went, and how many calories I burned. Part of my night routine is to meditate to ensure a restful sleep using Fitbit relax with guided breathing sessions is an added bonus as it helps me to calm and reach my meditative state. Fitbit is easy to use and I like the design, the face size makes for easy reading. Fitbit has some amazing features. The battery lifetime is amazing; you can get five days of use on a single charge. I am very happy with Fitbit, definitely a great investment.

Bought this one on sale on Black Friday....great price made better with points from previous purchases and reviews. Needed a watch that could track my sleep issues and it does a pretty decent job of that. It's only not recorded one out of 10 nights due to me letting the battery get low. Heart beats per minute were spot on with my Doctors office visit 2 days ago. And it tells time to boot. Only wish it had a 24 hour display function as it is what I have used all my life.

This Fitbit offers a lot of info in such a small item. I do find it a bit bulky but this is because of the bigger screen and band. Bought it to track sleeping and while it does do a great job I cannot get used to wearing it at night due to the bulkiness of it. After tracking sleep for a month I now only use it during the day. Love it and would buy it again.

Def great buy for the novice. I need to spend a bit more time with this to figure out how to see my pace and whatnot when I run. It's not as easy as the Garmin 920XT that I have. However, it's perfect in size and accurate in heart rate. I like that it tracks my sleep as well. If you aren't a serious athlete this is definitely the fitness tracker for you.

Fitbit is really useful for keeping track of the steps taken each day! Also interested in my heart rate especially when I was on a trip to Cambodia. Saw my heart rate climb as I mounted the 337 steps to the top of the temple at Angkor Wat. It adds another dimension to grand adventures. Love that I can check time on the watch in movie theaters and see a text coming in to my cell phone when I have them paired. Its versatile and holds its charge well.

Nice upgrade from original Charge HR

I was previously using the Charge HR until it died. It was covered under a Best Buy Replacement plan, which upgraded me to the Charge 2. Pros: -Larger screen, much easier to see more data in a single view -More notifications - the original Charge HR only did phone calls, the Charge 2 handles text and calendar notices. This is great since I always was missing notices when my phone was on vibrate, and it's easier to more discreetly see updates. Cons: -At times, I get repeated calendar notices even after an event has started or passed. My phone doesn't show a notice, but the event will pop up on the Charge 2. -If a notification comes through the Charge 2, you have to view it immediately. If you don't check as soon as the message comes in, it will just show the home screen. I would prefer to acknowledge the notification on the Charge 2 before it clears off. Overall, I like the Charge 2. It has a number of other upgraded features. Battery life has been good, even though it seems like it activates very often when my wrist moves up.

This FITBIT tracks heart rate, sleeping hours and quality, steps, it's light weight, it charges fast and holds enough electricity to last, but the band didn't last too long, I had to buy a metal band to replace the broken one.

Battery lasts for almost a week, and it reminds me by email that it’s getting low. Tracks all my walking, pulse, sleep, and updates an application on my phone automatically. Helped me lose 15 pounds.

I really enjoy this fitness tracker. It seems to do a great job tracking my heart rate, sleep and normal activity. It does struggle a bit on high intensity workouts like P90x or other interval training. It does great with walks and runs though. It is a slight bit bulky and doesn't over a super nice screen like others but is fairly easy to use and gives decent information and notifications. Hint- notifications have to be turned on within the app, on your phone (I have samsung S7), and on the fitbit device itself (last item in scroll through). It took me a couple of days to figure this out. . I didn't like the band it came with because I didn't feel it looked nice when i dressed up for work, but i found a nice metal band online that looks a lot more elegant and is easier to keep clean.

I was a little reluctant to get one of these. The wife has an original Fitbit that did not do much more than buzz and flash a couple of lights. After that finally died, she got another model that showed statistics on the device instead of having to look at her phone or iPad. Now I was interested... So went did a bit of research, and decided on the Charge 2. It shows me everything I need to know; steps, stair flights, call and text notifications from my phone, time date and other things. It also has a heart rate monitor. As far as I can tell it's pretty accurate. However, every now and then it does not pick up my pulse and just shows a line where the heart rate number should be. It's a bit disconcerting when it appears you are flat-lining. Since I have it on my wrist a bit loose it's probably why it can't read my pulse. The sleep monitor seems to be pretty accurate too. If I'm up at 4:00 going to the bathroom, the chart shows I was awake at that time and sleeping prior to and afterward. The GPS function in the accompanying app I gives a great map showing the route taken and the distance. Pretty cool tech if you want to keep tabs to your specifics.

I love the fitbit charge 2. I use this mostly to get my sleep hours in at night. I also use the alarm which is wonderful and it does wake me. I would recommend this Fitbit Charge 2 to anyone that is physically challenged. Also, you get your phone calls from your cell or text on the screen as well, which I like too. Good bonus!

I had the Charge HR, twice...and both had to be replaced via the Geek Squad warranty thing. This model was an upgrade the second time. The problem with the Charge HR was the band. I liked the functions, but I noticed right away that the band was going to be a problem since it couldn't be replaced. It lived up to my expectations, unfortunately. The Charge 2, however, has met my expectations and lived up to what I had heard about it. I would recommend this one to anyone who wants to keep track of their exercise, food, water, sleep, heart rate, etc. I love the silent (vibrate) alarms and notifications. I was reluctant to wear something like this because I am not a watch person, but I now feel "naked" without it. It is a part of my life now!

The Charge 2 works for at least 4 days on a charge and the charging clip is positive and easy to use. It does many things but my favorite feature is the sleep tracking: easy to understand, completely automatic, and unobtrusive. The silent alarm is great too. I didn't expect the vibration would wake me, but it really does!

I use it to track my daily steps and my sleep patterns. It's pretty accurate at the steps but hit and miss when it comes to counting Stairs. It seems if you don't swing your arm when climbing stairs then it does not count. The sleep tracker gave me insight into why sometimes it is hard for me to get out of bed.

I really like my Fitbit. My favorite feature is the ability to track my sleep, even the different levels of sleep. Also the battery last over 5 days which is great. The charge two is the very refined Fitbit, all the issues I had with charge 1 are so far not here, which is awesome, overall id highly recommend.

I upgraded from a much older FitBit Flex to this Charge 2 and really enjoy it for the most part. It seems to be fairly accurate in tracking my activities, stairs climbed, etc and bands are easily swapped out, which is always a nice option to have. Pros: Has a screen so you can track your steps more accurately, along with heart rate and other health data. Oh, it tells the time too! Easily switchable bands. FitBit App/Ecosystem is the most mature among all other trackers IMO. Cons: Screen is easily scratched (Get some screen protectors if scratches bother you, because this device WILL get scratched). Not waterproof like the Flex or Flex 2. At a sub $120 price this is a solid buy. Anything over this price makes you want to venture towards something like an Apple Watch or the Versa if you like the FitBit Ecosystem.

I love my fitbit charge 2, this is my second fitbit. My first one just measured my steps. This one measures steps as well as heart rate. It also lets me know when i get phone calls or messages which is great when walking and cant hear my phone. It also tells me to get moving if im sitting to much.

I like the way the design of the charge 2. I also like the fact the not only does it keep up with my steps each day it keeps up with my sleep. I now know how to adjust my needs for sleep due to my charge 2 keeping up with it for me. Another great option is changing out the bands. Awesome product!!
