However a friend had purchased it and raved about it. So I had to see for myself. Charges quickly. Enjoy the sleep monitor aspect of this device. The step counter counts steps even though none were taken. Such as while i am driving or riding with friends.

Pretty good, but disapointed

Unfortunately it doesn't offer much for a swimmer, in fact I think it tracks the least amount of data for swimming compared to all the other exercises it tracks. Therefore I am disappointed. For example: I mostly swim long course (50 meters) and occasionally short course yards (25 yard long pool). The device is not able to count laps for either correctly, as it thinks I am swimming in a 25 meter pool. The instructions say the pool length can be changed, but the app doesn't match the instructions. Another example: It offers no heart rate stats for swimming. Fitbit is supposed to be the leader in fitness tracking, swimming offers a huge opportunity for them to improve. Otherwise the product works well, except it is slow to sync with my phone. All the other aspects of the app are excellent. If the statistics for swimming were as extensive as they are for running it would get 5 stars. If you are a runner, buy this!

He had stopped wearing watches mostly because he could not find one that fit well until this one, and as an added benefit, it does so much more than just give the time. I am so pleased with his desire to meet his step goal and try to lead a more active lifestyle.
