I love the fact it motivates you to move, 10,000 steps or more a day. I have come home from work several times being 3000 steps short...that gets me toke the dogs for a walk to the park, even if it 11pm!
Plus the on line tool for the calorie intake is very helpful.

I bought my Fitbit as a "treat yourself" from my tax returns this year. It definitely helps me stay motivated to reach all my daily goals. It's also nice that I can use it as a watch when I'm at work.
My only problem with my Charge is a design flaw in which the material on the band comes out from under the screen with no possible way to fix it without a replacement. This happened to mine after less than two months of your average daily use.
Luckily, Fitbit has wonderful customer service and is more than willing to replace it if it's still under warranty (one year from purchase).

Upgraded after losing a Fitbit Flex in the Lake. I liked the extra options this had for the price difference and have not been disappointed. I wish that it was waterproof like my Flex and not just water-resistant, but I do like all of the other options. I am very happy that this one tracks flights of stairs. (Flex did not.) Battery life is about 6 days. It is very comfortable to wear. Steps are accurate when height and weight are put in correctly. Would give this a 5 star if it was waterproof and had the changeable bands.....great product. Does what it claims it will do.

I first had to get the Fitbit to count my steps for a class. Not only did it due this but it became apart of me. I wear it everywhere still even though my class is done. I love not having to have a ringtone on my phone. And the alarm is also one of my favorites. I would love to see them add a text message notification that will vibrate and say the name that text you so you can know the importance of it. But I would highly recommend this to anyone. I also work on a farm, I was really afraid of it breaking or tearing up when I first got it. But it's been carried everywhere. Bumped into walls scratched on fences just about everything, and it's still holding strong. Love it.

Pro's: tracks sleep and water intake which made me realize I wasn't getting enough of either, water resistant, keeps me focused on being "fit" and staying active, wears well without being annoying, the clock and date display are useful when not wearing a watch, my 2 year old loves to activate the display by tapping it.
Con's: calories burned during a workout seems low since heart-rate is not taken with this model, # of steps taken daily is not useful to me, could be slightly more appealing to the eye (i.e. stylish), I really wish I did not need to remove this to shower.

The redesigned band is not at all uncomfortable to wear 7/24 (except for showering). The battery life is a full 6-7 days. Love the caller-ID feature as a benefit. The only thing that would make this unit better was to make it fully water-proof.

I chose the Fitbit Charge because I liked the ability to track the information it collects about my habits. I discovered from the sleep records why I wake up so tired in the morning and am now using it to tweak my sleeping (or not sleeping) habits. I was very surprised to see how much walking I do everyday taking care of my horses. Since it's soft, and has the time and date, I use it as a watch as well. In the beginning before it softened to my arm shape, it was not easy to fasten, now it is no problem. That's why I gave it only 4 stars. I do like not having a buckle snag my clothing and this fastener has a smooth profile. BTW, I am a Sr. citizen learning to adapt to 21st century technology!

By having this on my wrist at all times I am to see the following:
Time
How many steps.... if low then I have to pick it up
Calories ... saves me from eating or drinking something with higher calories
Number or stairs
Excellent purchase

The Fitbit Charge is very accurate with steps taken and sleep. I find there is a bit of a discrepancy with active minutes though. For instance today I was on the treadmill for 30 minutes doing a sustained speed of 3.4 mph, then I did a 1 hour exercise class at a moderate intensity, then I went through the weights at the gym. The Fitbit only registered 18 minutes. I can adjust that by logging my exercise on my iPhone though. I was going to purchase the newest model but I wasnt a fan of the buckle closure. The Charge holds a charge for about a week. I only take mine off while showering, swimming and doing dishes. I like that you can participate in challenges too.

I love my fitbit. I cannot go a day without completing my step goals. I love this thing. It light enough that it doesn't interfere in my daily life. I don't really notice it. I do remove it when I sleep, just a personal preference. I tested its sensitivity along with my iPhone in my pocket using another step tracking tool, it was on par with it within 500 steps. It has helped me with my weight loss goals. I love the app and browser interface, great data and graphs. I do use the fitbit app in conjunction with the Lose It app. Their is some configuration involved, but it's not too bad. I have lost 28 lbs with the help of this tool!

This is overall a really good product. The only thing I really don't like about it is that it isn't waterproof. The battery on it lasts a long time which is awesome and it doesn't take long to charge it. Sometimes the app on my iPhone can be a little weird. Having a Fitbit actually makes me try to walk more because I try to get more steps in. You can have competitions with your friends or family and that's fun. The clasp on it is pretty nice, easy to put on and remove, but doesn't fall off easily either.

Fitbit Charge is comfortable to wear and very easy to access - updates to the Fitbit online program work seamlessly as does the connection to My Fitness Pal and Map My Walk - it's a good feeling when you feel the buzz on your arm when you hit your daily goal steps - because it is on the wrist, it doesn't work well with the treadmill if you hold on to the bars as I do because of a balance issue - same with grocery cart - so just take it off the wrist and place in pocket and everything is fine - easy to put on and take off - some people have complained about the charge life - I just take it off before taking my shower and charge for that amount of time each day with no issues - highly recommended - of course if you want BP readings, you'll need to upgrade

Love that it tracks calories burned, distance, time, sets of stairs climbed, and steps. Its much easier to use than a traditional pedometer. I also like that i a weekly update for the entire week through email.

I have been using this tracker for over a month now and I haven't had any problems with it. It seems to be reasonably accurate - I compare it to the Health app on my iPhone and it's usually pretty close. This band is very durable. I accidentally ran over it with my car and it still works fine - just a few scratches on the face. (Ok - I had it in my lap as I got out of the car to go in a store; it fell next to the car. When I came back out, I didn't see it and backed out of the parking space. I ran over it as I turned the wheel. I came back and picked it up once I realized what had happened.)
This is the first tracker I've used so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I haven't had any problems with it and it's easy to use.

The Flex has helped track my Sleep and my calories in and out, steps, and is a little motivational pal on my wrist. Add in the caller id from my Android and the vibrating alarm clock on my wrist...LOVE this thing!

Since wearing my tracker I have lost a few pounds and inches in the 3 weeks I have had it. It syncs with my fitness pal app. I move quite a bit during the day but obviously not enough to make a difference butnim do now. The app for my charge is VERY user friendly on my phone as is the one for my desktop. My son has a different fitness tracker and we try to see who gets the most steps in a day.It doesn't take long for the device to charge and holds a charge for 5-7 days depending on how much I check and sync each day. I bought the slate color and it pretty much matches whatever I wear, it's light weight and not noticable. The silent alarms you can set is very easy to manage as well. If you don't have a Fitbit Charge you need one!

I have the size large, black fitbit. The app is necessary and useful as it keeps stats for you among other things. Comfortable enough to sleep in and the vibrating alarm wakes me up M-F based on the time I set it for. It has 9 notches so it will fit a woman or man. I wear it on my left wrist above my watch and since it has a clock I sometimes skip a watch and only wear my fitbit! The clock has several display options which you can change in the settings which I like. No complaints. This definitely makes you walk more because you are more aware of how much you are sitting. I have a desk job and my goal is to get 5000 steps while at work (thats a lot when you sit at a computer all day). I try to reach 10k steps a day. Go buy one!
