I really like this tracker. It is very comfortable and seems to be fairly accurate. Also it keeps track of sleep. I love that it has caller ID on it because I know who is calling before I have to dig for my phone. Only negatives are that the battery seems to run down quickly and if you are pushing a shopping cart it doesn't register your steps. I overcome that by putting it in my pocket when I go to grocery store.

I had never owned a fitness tracker, but wanted one as I began to get my rear off the sofa. My Fitbit is perfect for me, and is SO easy to sync with my Android. In addition, I use the Fitbit information to link to a nutrition app. I especially like the fact that it tracks my sleep duration every night, as well as how restful it was. That is a tremendous help in monitoring my sleep apnea and CPAP usage.
The FitBit only needs to be charged once a week.
My overall fitness has improved dramatically since I've been using my FitBit. It has become a daily challenge to rack up as many steps as I can!

I have been a Fitbit user for 5 months now and am a big fan of the Fitbit platform. I use a Samsung S5 and wirelessly connect to manage my account. My first Fitbit was the Flex because it was the top of the line at the time. The technology is great but the hardware kept crapping out on me. Thankfully, Best Buy takes care of the manufacturers warranty and just traded them out for me. I just upgraded to the Charge two days ago and love it. I actually replaced my wrist watch with this unit. It feels great on my wrist. What it actually does is largely the same as the Flex with some key upgrades.
1. Sleep Tracking is Automatic - I appreciate that I don't have to tell the unit when i am going to sleep. Probably once a week I would forget, with the Flex, to let it know I was going to sleep or waking up. I don't know how it does it, but the data is accurate. It really can tell when I am going to bed and waking up.
2. Stair Tracker - Again, somehow the unit is able to differentiate between normal walking and doing stairs. It has added this challenge of 10 flights of stairs a day.
3. Actual Numbers Displayed on Wrist - With the Flex, you were always looking at a range of where you were at for your daily movement. With the Charge, you can see, on your wrist, your exact movements, to the step. That is a very helpful feature.
4. Caller ID - This is not very useful, but it is pretty cool. Since you are connected to your phone via bluetooth anyway, they decided to add caller ID into it. It has worked once on my Charge thus far and, while not helpful since my phone was already in my hand, it was pretty cool to feel the Charge vibrate and show the caller ID of who was calling.
Again, I have not had it that long, thus far. I am hoping that the hardware is better than the Flex. Love the technology, but the durability of the hardware could be better.

All you need to have a healthier life

I never had problems losing weight and being fit until I hit my 30s. Since then, I have tried to casually watch what I ate and do some exercising. However, I couldn't lose weight or keep it off anymore. Since using the Fitbit Flex for the 1st 2 months and then the Charge for the last 2 months, I have lost almost 20 lbs. I won't say it is magic but if you use the food tracker, the exercise tracker/step tracker, you will hold yourself more accountable and see how much you really exercise and eat. I feel like with the Fitbit, I can be healthier in the long term and not just a short term thing. And with just recording my eating habits and steps, I am not really on a diet but just not lying to myself anymore on how much calories are taken in vs. burned.
As for the actual product, it seems to be accurate but, even more importantly, consistent. What I mean by that is that there are times it records more steps or less steps depending on how I walk or move my hands. However, the good thing is that it is consistently that way. So regardless of what my actual steps are (e.g. 11,000 vs 11,200), the Charge seems to accurately count my steps and the way I step consistently.
The charge also seems to be very durable and easy to charge (unlike the Flex, where you have to take the little counter out and then charge it). The charge seems to last about 3 to 4 days tops but that isn't too bad. The latch seems to be pretty good too--I have never had the Charge fall off or anything. The added functionality of caller ID, exact step count, and time display was much needed.
I have no complaints about the product or the app that comes with it.

Light weight and sporty looking. I leave it on for everything except showering. I did not realize how many steps that I really do walk each day until I had this, and being able to see my sleeping patterns with the iPhone app is very interesting. Also, I used to miss many phone calls from my wife because I did not hear it. This fitbit charge will actually buzz on my wrist and scroll the callers name on display. I like it!

The Charge has really got my husband and I off the couch and moving. I have been meeting and/or exceeding my daily goal of 10,000 steps. Really like how the Charge screen gives you your steps count, time, date, calorie count, floors climbed, and miles conversion in any order you wish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Charge to the Flex. I don't wear it to bed to monitor sleep. I prefer to relax without it on. And, I don't need to monitor my heart rate so Charge is perfect for my husband and I. Made us realize how seditary we were.

I'd been eagerly awaiting these since the last version was recalled, and it's pretty much what I wanted. It's comfortable, doesn't get in the way too much and works better than any other pedometer/tracker I've used, including the one built into my Samsung Galaxy 5.
The battery lasts me a little more than a week with it paired to my phone, and it charges surprisingly fast.
The biggest issue for me is I would like to be able to replace the band. After a few months of taking it off and putting it back on at least once a day (It's not waterproof, so you have to take it off to shower) the band clasp starts to rip out the holes and it lets go too easily now. I don't consider myself abusive of it and would consider my use normal to lighter than normal, but it starts falling off too easily, seemingly relatively quickly.
The other big issue, which I believe would be fixed with a replaceable band, is that the hard portion of the body breaks where it attaches to the band. Fitbit is great about it and sends a replacement with proof-of-purchase, but it feels like it's just a matter of time before it happens again, and I have no idea how many times they'll replace it.

The fit bit large wireless tracker keeps a long charge . It is easy to use and read. The only issue is the size and I have a problem wearing it with my dress shirts at work because of the bulk and getting the sleeve to button over it..

I have had a couple of these now and I love them. The Charge has been my favorite from the FitBit line. It does not have the Heart Rate monitor but has everything else I need. Great device for tracking your activities, sleep patterns and daily steps taken. Very motivational tool through the Badges you get for each time you complete a record in each activity. You can also compete or share with friends the daily activities and motivate one another.

Great product at the right price. The little extra you pay for the charge is it's weight in gold. The OLED display is great and is readable in all conditions from dark to bright sunlight. The band is very comfortable and don't even know it is there most of the time. The Charge does a great job of tracking your sleep, with no user interaction. I've had a Flex and many times would not remember to either set it in sleep mode or awake mode, it's great that the Charge determines this all on it's own.
The Charge syncs easily to my phone and PC. All the essential data tracks seamlessly: steps, distance, calories burned, stairs. The silent, vibration alarm works great. The sync with the phone for incoming calls works great too.
The only feature that is lacking from this product that it's competition, the Garmin Vivosmart, had was the vibration alert reminding you to move after a set period of inactivity.
I have a Fitbit Flex, Garmin Vivosmart, and Basis band besides this Fitbit Charge and the Fitbit Charge is the clear cut winner.

This FitBit works great & does hold a good charge. I love the silent alarm which vibrates the wrist. The online dashboard is easy to use - where I log food, water etc. I haven't worn a watch for many years - but I dont mind keeping this one on all day & night (except shower & drying hair). It tracks sleep patterns too which is interesting. I just wanted something to track my 10K+ steps a day, so it's exactly what I needed...and more.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my FitBit Charger. I set some goals and have tried to reach those goals, or exceed them each day. My Fit Bit keeps me informed of calories eaten, steps taken, and sleep patterns. It is a big boost for making me aware of my health and fitness. So far it works fine and I wear it constantly except for charging it.

Very easy to set up and use. The app is great and the emails on my progress really make it worth it. I lost my first Fitbit an hour after putting it on Christmas day. So I would like to see a better band or clasp. Also would like to see it be water proof. But the charge is the best that was available at the time and it's worth it.

I have purchased two of these items (one for myself and one for my wife). The first one I purchased worked great directly out of the box. Easy to setup and get started.
The one problem I have with it is the band will start to come apart from the display. I wore mine religiously for 6 months as I was/am training for a marathon. Seeing how it was older than 60 days when mine came apart I contacted FitBit directly and spoke to one of their customer service representatives and explained my problem. They simply wanted me to send them a copy of my original receipt from purchase as well as a picture of what mine looked like and they instantly sent me out a brand new one - free of charge! Their customer service was awesome!
The second one I bought online at bestbuy.com as a Christmas gift. I received it and wrapped it up and left it under the tree. My wife opened it on Christmas Day and fully charged it. This one would not hold a charge for more than 16 hours. The original box for the item got lost in the shuffle of holiday activity so I took it back to a local Best Buy store and wanted to exhange it out for one that works - the customer service was a breeze!!!
My advice to anybody would be to hold on to your original receipt in case you have problems similar to mine. Rest assured that if you do have problems the company has your back and will make it right!

Started using my FitBit about a week ago and really enjoy knowing how many steps, how much sleep, etc. that I am experiencing. Lots more to learn. Wish it was waterproof instead of water resistant as I do water aerobics for my exercise. Still learning about using the food and other trackers. Glad I purchased the FitBit!

Great for keeping tracking of steps and work activity. It also. Let's you know what your sleep habits are. My daughter and sister have the same device. They like sending challenges out. Would recommend the device. Also, great for letting you know how much walking you doing when shopping or even ar work.

Works great with my IPad, but doesn't sync with my android phone. Still love that it tracks my steps, and great to know sleep pattern. Love the alarm just vibes to wake you, and it can set to remind you to get up and move. Stays charged for a long time no need to charge each day. You can set your Fitbit to what you want to see.on your wrist. Love it great investment!!

Love the product but once a week it’s frustrating to charge for an hour. The charging port doesn’t stay in, it constantly unplugs. I am however frustrated at trying to charge this product, I checked with my friend who has the HR version and she doesn’t have this issue, at all! Perhaps I got a defective band? Basically I the small weight of the band will cause the thick plug to snap out, I have to wedge it in to charge on the 9” long charger. Last week I held it while watching tv, this week I happen to be in training while I had a desktop pc, and the 9”charger allowed me to put the band on the ground to charge. Typically I just charge at my desk while working once a week and use my stapler and tape to hold it in my docking station. Luckily it only takes about an hour to charge. Initially I was concerned with wearing something on my wrist 24-7 but because the product is so feather-weight it’s not an issue. I am AMAZED how sleep is tracked and being able to ensure I am getting enough sleep is key to my weight loss.

I liked this tracked for its simplicity. It's easy to use and set up. It's pretty accurate. The clasp that keeps it closed isn't like a usual watch clasp but it's more like snaps. It locks solidly but I had my hesitation with it possibly coming undone. Over all its a simple idea and works great.

If you don't need a heart rate monitor, this a good choice. The. Charge monitors several activities to include steps and sleep - the two things I was interested in for my health monitoring program at work. It interfaces with the free Fitbit app on my iPhone5 which in turn interfaces with the Virgin Pulse app that earns me Heath fund credit at work.
